On the other hand, the service was borderline insolent.
I've had much better experiences at Hippo.
18/09/2024: They forced us to eat on the terrace despite the cold (the interior was empty because, according to what the waitress told us, they were going to clean the carpet at 10 p.m.). The food was tasteless and cold, and the price was sky high. No wonder there were four cats ☠️

The food is very good and homemade, however the quantities are really minimal compared to the price, which is a shame...

04/08/2024: Execrable welcome to customers after ordering skewers to share even though sharing is the basis of the concept proposed by the restaurant.
The boss judged that the order was insufficient when he brought the dishes and made multiple reproaches to us in a very unpleasant tone, reproaching us in particular for having used his toilet and for not having taken enough dishes.
Given the tone used we left in shock.
An experience unworthy of the other traders encountered in Perpignan.

The coffee was the best so far on this trip, after 14 days.
The croissants were fine.
Definitely where I’d go for a coffee in Perpignan.

Children’s meal great value too

22/09/2024: We were at the post office café this morning. Friendly service but we were shocked by the dirt on the terrace.
It would be desirable for the owner of the premises to have it cleaned before opening.
Not very pleasant to have breakfast surrounded by dirt on the ground
17/09/2024: We had three Pepsis and three croissants for breakfast in the open air. The service was pleasant and the place is spacious with a terrace. The price was expensive because of the Pepsis and the total was around €15.

While one saleswoman is in place, the second spends her time chatting quietly.
27/07/2024: At 9:45 a.m. I come to buy my baguette, a crazy crowd inside, a poor young girl serving who was completely overwhelmed.
I really liked it.
For my part, I waited more than 10 minutes and I left. I had an appointment and I bought my baguette elsewhere and of course I would never set foot in your place again!
Collect money from customers but not able to hire like everywhere, shameful!
Customer service is not the priority at Marie Blachère

09/09/2024: We are regulars at the Salad Workshop and again today we had a pleasant time. Copious portions, a sober but elegant setting and a boss who is certainly overwhelmed but always accommodating. I recommend especially when you want to eat healthy and quickly.

Friendly welcome and service in a well-located pedestrian street.

27/08/2024: Awful service. Waitress was unpleasant, and it took me over an hour to be served and to eat one course. Lemon sole was well cooked, but this was the only redeeming feature. At one point, the waitress dropped a menu onto my table and spilt my drink. It took a good 15 minutes for another waiter to come and clear the mess, and then I had to ask for a replacement drink. Not a pleasant experience!

23/09/2024: SCANDALOUS! TO RUN AWAY! I ask for a simple glass of water, which I am refused in a contemptuous manner. One of the waitresses puts a glass of water on the counter and shouts that it’s not for me. I say okay, I ask if there is no way to buy some. She says two euros thirty, I then ask for a small bottle. SHE REFUSED ME TO PURCHASE A BOTTLE OF WATER FOR TWO € THIRTY.
