10/09/2026: WOW!! What a discovery! A delight with every dish; it was perfect from start to finish, both in terms of presentation and service. The duck tiramisu is exceptional. A must-try if you're visiting Villefranche-de-Conflent.

Succulent dishes, perfect presentation, and impeccable service. 22/08/2026: Impatient people beware! My first time at La Paillote, arrived at 7:18 pm, first tapas at 8 pm. Good, but the sea bream rillettes at €10 is a bit excessive for me. Two very good and well-presented main courses, no complaints there. As for the Pavlova, my favorite dessert, meh, I've had much better. Too sweet and no fruit, just a tiny strawberry insert. I'll let you judge for yourselves. A bill of €100 for two is still relatively high. Finished at 9:30 pm for 2 cocktails, 2 tapas, 2 main courses, 2 coffees, and a dessert. In short, an ideal restaurant for digesting between courses 😉

19/08/2026: Delicious food, everything is homemade and it shows. I'm usually a bit wary of beachfront restaurants, but this one is definitely worth a visit. Between the cozy decor and the top-notch service, everything enhances the chef's cuisine even more!

28/08/2026: A charming little family-run restaurant serving Catalan-Vietnamese cuisine. It's excellent, surprising, and original. Located on a hillside, under wisteria, just above the Llo baths. The service is warm and friendly; we always return with great pleasure.

31/08/2026: Fantastic restaurant run by a charming couple. We return here year after year and have always been served consistently wonderful food. We have gluten and lactose intolerances - both of which were catered for without any problem. The price is extremely reasonable for the quality of the cooking. I am surprised this restaurant does not have a Michelin Bib Gourmand rating - it certainly delivers that level of quality.

23/08/2026: We recommended to our friends, who were visiting from the UK, to go for their wedding anniversary. They were blown away: reporting it as good as 1 Michelin Star restaurants they’ve enjoyed at home. Outstanding, occasion worthy food, with excellent, facilitative, bilingual service. One of the key points of enjoyment was that they reported spending very little time without food, because the cooking and service was so well timed. Despite the fine food, portions were still well sized, so most of their two hour experience was used eating and drinking - something very close to their hearts. When I collected them the restaurant and surrounding area was radiant with life - with a god cried playing boule on the pitch outside - and created a lovely overall atmosphere under the trees of the exterior dinning space. We can’t wait to go again ourselves!

21/08/2026: My family and I ate there after visiting the organs of Ille-sur-Têt. The welcome was very friendly and the food delicious. What sets it apart from other restaurants is that you can buy paintings and other items made by a friend of the owner. You'll find paintings of the famous Goldorak, Captain Harlock's spaceship, and many other equally exceptional items. I highly recommend this restaurant.
