🚴♂️ Location: Fantastically situated between the legendary Col du Galibier and the Col du Télégraphe – a perfect starting point for ambitious road cyclists and mountain lovers. Directly on the Route des Grandes Alpes, quiet and close to nature.
🍳 Breakfast & Restaurant: The breakfast is plentiful, fresh, and flavorful – ideal for a pre-tour refueling. The hotel's own restaurant impresses with excellent cuisine and regional quality. A real treat after a long day in the saddle.
😊 Service & Hospitality: The friendliness of the staff is particularly noteworthy. Additional requests, such as an extra blanket, were met promptly and easily – you feel welcome and well looked after here.
🛏️ Rooms: The rooms are rather small and rustically furnished, but very clean and well-maintained. Those who appreciate cozy and authentic surroundings will feel at home. The wood paneling gives the hotel an alpine charm.
✅ Conclusion: A family-run hotel with an excellent location for active athletes and nature lovers. Friendly service, excellent food, and an atmosphere that invites you to return. A real insider tip for road cyclists.
16/09/2025: Very quiet, clean, comfortable. The food is of good quality and the breakfast offers a very varied buffet. Very well located for those who want to hike and especially go around Mount Thabor. Highly recommended!!!

26/10/2025: If I could, I wouldn't give it a single star.
Catastrophic hotel, horrible welcome, cold room. We were told they were going to turn on the heating for the night, but it never happened. We weren't even given the bill. We complained dozens of times by every means: Booking.com, email, phone, nothing!
Zero hotel, I definitely do not recommend it.
29/09/2025: It's located in a simply enchanting location, the rooms are clean and modern, the cuisine offers typical local dishes, and the staff is young and courteous, but completely disorganized.
It's a shame, because despite being dated, the property has been partially renovated, and in my opinion, it has considerable potential.

02/09/2024: Un vrai délice. De l’apéro au dessert tout était parfait. Le service agréable et souriant. Le cadre est magnifique lorsque l’on y va le midi, les montagnes et rien d’autre.
Nous avons opté pour la fondue, parfaite.
La seule frustration : ne pas pouvoir prendre la spécialité La Poutre pour une seule personne, alors que notre voisin de table, seul, y a eu le droit. Un habitué me semble t’il.
Mais ça ne sera que ce petit bémol que je noterais.
Ne pas hésiter une seule seconde, réservez vous ne serez pas déçus.
27/08/2024: A must.... Remember to book.... A very friendly welcome... A particularly pleasant setting on the terrace... The gallows.... Quality meat flambéed in cognac, an original presentation... . Homemade fries and a succulent vegetable gratin.

15/10/2024: We went to Le Plancher twice during our ski week last February: once for lunch and once for dinner.
The pancakes served for lunch are excellent, fast and efficient service, we don't waste time and we can return to skiing quickly. The traditional dishes are rather generous: I had difficulty finishing my tartiflette, it must be said that I had eaten into my friends' porcini fondue. Our waitress was lovely throughout!!
Special mention for the typical and warm decor with the fireplace.
We will come back next year without fail!!
09/10/2024: Que se soit avec des amis ou en famille, je vais régulièrement déjeuner, dîner ou goûter (fini d'après-midi) j'ai toujours été bien reçue et toujours très bien mangé. La fondue aux champignons est excellente (mon plat préféré) à midi le plat du jour est très bon et quelques fois original et très bon quant aux crêpes elles sont délicieuses...j'ai plaisir à retrouver les équipes accueillantes et sympa..
Je recommande vivement cet hiver pour une fondue..

11/09/2024: I like this place because I only drink tea and there's some good ones there!!! 'fine to my taste... even if I destabilized the nice waiter a little with my request for brewed at room temperature ;-)
We like to have breakfast when we arrive, a few snack drinks or aperitifs in this central location.

17/03/2024: A real find at the foot of the slopes! This restaurant offers a pleasant culinary experience, especially with its delicious homemade burgers made with quality ingredients.
The service is fast, efficient and the staff is very friendly.
I highly recommend this place, especially as you can easily head off to new adventures on the slopes thanks to the proximity of the Setaz gondola after a delicious meal.
An essential address for a successful gourmet break at the bottom of the slopes.
