18/02/2026: A real gem! The restaurant boasts magnificent decor and a breathtaking view of Bandol harbor, creating an atmosphere that is both chic and welcoming. The food is excellent: beautifully presented, flavorful, and bursting with taste. Every bite is a delight! A huge thank you to the entire team, who are welcoming, professional, and always smiling. You feel truly at ease from beginning to end. This is an address not to be missed, whether for a romantic dinner, a meal with friends, or a family outing. I recommend it 100%!

23/02/2026: Don't go! It was a Sunday during the street market in Bandol. We arrived at 12:15 pm, a friendly waitress seated us and served us glasses of white wine. Good, but from then on, it was a disaster! Three-quarters of an hour later, we still hadn't been served. Our salads arrived around 1:15 pm; two or three very thin slices of tomato, small, tasteless mozzarella balls, and shapeless pieces of so-called chicken—greasy, sinewy, and flavorless. We swore we'd never set foot in that place again. A disgrace for a restaurant in the heart of Bandol. And to top it off, the owner offered no compensation whatsoever and charged us €18 for the two salads!

09/02/2026: The bar is very inviting at first glance; you almost feel invited to sit down... which we naively did. We were then treated to a rather didactic explanation of the local economy by the owner: apparently, sitting at a table set before lunch to eat an ice cream sundae and a coffee would be a waste of time, a waste of money, and probably a crack in the bar's financial balance. A shame, because the place has potential... provided you can read the owner's mind.

22/01/2026: After a good hike in Bandol, I was looking for a place to eat that opened around 2 pm, and to my surprise, I stumbled upon L'Amiral. A warm welcome; you really get the feeling you're not intruding at that hour, which, in my experience, isn't always the case. Anyway, I settled in, feeling completely exhausted after a 13 km hike, and ordered a ribeye steak and fries to revive me, you know 😅, and a nice Mourvèdre de Bandol (red wine). The price-quality ratio was excellent... but after this wonderful experience, both personally and gastronomically, I encourage you to enjoy a pleasant moment there too 😍.

11/08/2025: 1) The waitress was unfortunately nonexistent; the gray-haired man tried to compensate, but only partially succeeded. Our glasses were empty (meaning we had nothing left to drink). The water jugs were NOT clean; the surface was dirty. What I also can't stand is when people wipe their heads with paper after sweating and then don't wash their hands. 2) My brother ordered a Capirinha but received a Campari. Then we were told there was no such thing as a Capirinha. 3) Our daughter wanted fries with her schnitzel but received chunks of potato. 4) The two resident dogs (we have a dog ourselves) were running around the restaurant, which is fine, but one of them defecated next to the stairs, and this wasn't cleaned up immediately. This is absolutely unacceptable in a restaurant. 5) Some of the schnitzels (Milanese) were very tough because they hadn't been pounded. 6) Someone smoked an e-cigarette in front of me while I was paying the bill. This has no place in a restaurant. Bottle of white wine after Receiving criticism, however, does not change the facts.

21/08/2025: Very good fish pot, excellent! Restaurant to recommend with a choice of 6 main dishes which is a bit different from the menus on the street next door with 50 dishes for tourists....
