11/07/2026: A truly wonderful spot on the Place de la Bouquerie in Apt! Le Bistrot le France offers delicious cuisine—we especially loved the fresh and generous salad of heirloom tomatoes with burrata. The wine selection is also excellent, with some lovely choices to complement the meal. The terrace overlooking the square is a real bonus, perfect for soaking up the village atmosphere. The ambiance is warm and inviting, whether for lunch or dinner.
Guillaume, the owner, provides a very warm welcome and gives this restaurant its unique charm. A must-try if you're in the area!
08/07/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance and were pleasantly surprised by the flavor combinations we sampled. The waitresses were also very kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

02/08/2026: Everything is perfect. The food is delicious, the owner is a bit of a grump, his son is a skilled cook and a true rum connoisseur, and the restaurant itself is a veritable museum from the 1960s to the 1980s. A must-visit if you're ever in Apt.
Please note, I highly recommend booking in advance.

19/05/2026: A very pleasant surprise during our bike stop in Apt. The meal was hearty and delicious. Highly recommended.
11/05/2026: We had the set lunch menu for €20 and were very satisfied. Greek salad as a starter, wonderfully tender duck breast as a main course. For dessert, we had one of the best lemon tarts I've ever eaten.
Excellent value for money.

09/05/2026: The food is delicious. My wife had a specialty of cheese fritters with charcuterie, and let me tell you, her plate was completely empty! I had an excellent Corsican pizza. They also had little snacks and a nice little wine. All the staff are very friendly, and the restrooms are very clean, which is important. I highly recommend "Chez mon cousin Alphonse." André

15/07/2026: A warm, friendly welcome nonetheless, but the food is practically nonexistent. While nicely presented, the dish is inedible; the ingredients are poor quality and the cooking is completely uncontrolled. Even the fries are made with oil and a tiny bit of potato. A real tourist trap! And when you have a 3.9 out of 5 rating on Google after all these years, the other customers aren't ignorant; they're being paid. No mishaps whatsoever, and an owner as dishonest as his so-called cuisine 😘

09/04/2026: We came here for coffee on easter monday, when all other cafés where closed in Apt. The cappuccino and Flan were tasty and we had a nice table outside. I would go there again (especially on a holiday, when nothing else is open). Very reasonable prices as well.

05/07/2026: The order took a while, the waitress kept her eyes on the table, the table wasn't very clean, and there was absolutely no preparation (glasses, cutlery, napkins, salt, pepper...). ⭐⭐ The steak, fries, salad, and paella were simple, effective, and good. ⭐⭐⭐ The musical atmosphere was great, and the evening was organized. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The restaurant has great potential, but it's not being realized. A shame.

29/06/2026: The lakeside brasserie is well located, right on the lake with a terrace and a direct view.
My last visit was in early June. I didn't have a chance to eat there, but each time I've stopped by for a coffee after opening time, I was surprised by the rather cold welcome. The floor was dirty, and one of the employees was sweeping, suggesting that the place isn't cleaned after service. So, if you arrive in the morning, it's not ideal; it's also when they're setting the tables for lunch service, and you can't choose your table!
Two employees took my order, one after the other. It seemed like the information wasn't being shared between them, but I was served with a smile. I couldn't find the price list, and I paid €2 for the coffee!
Free parking is available, limited to vehicles under 2.10 meters, and all the leisure activities are right next door!
