22/02/2026: Our first visit to the refuge and an excellent experience. The walk to the refuge allows you to get some fresh air and experience a "mountain" atmosphere that you don't find in Megève town center. The welcome is excellent, the food simple and delicious (we especially loved the génépi/pear soufflé for dessert). The only risk is that the refuge will become a regular stop on our future trips, but we'll need to book well in advance because it's definitely a place we recommend. See you soon! 🙂

22/02/2026: Old style mountain atmosphere, beautiful secluded setting with great scenery, the food is excellent and portions generous. We had a 12h slow-cooked lacquered pig as main course and it was delicious. The restaurant is small so few tables and you need to book well in advance on high season

21/02/2026: We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Everything was delicious and well-presented, especially the frog legs, but everything else was great too. Can't wait to go back!

20/02/2026: We had a lovely meal here recently but the whole experience was tainted when the bill arrived. The server brought the card machine over and there was a suggested tip option. While this was optional, this is just not appropriate in France as service is always included (service compris). If someone wants to leave an optional tip, they can ask to add it, or leave cash, but it should not be the default option on the card machine as this is solely designed to catch out American tourists. This is the only restaurant that I have seen this option in all my holidays in France over many years! It felt like we were given this option as we were not speaking French, and I doubt they would have presented this option to a French speaking table. Very disappointing, especially for a Michelin recommended restaurant. RESPONSE TO RESTAURANT: Thank you for responding. Unfortunately I disagree that this is not within your control. The default screen for tips on your bank terminal is a feature that can be changed (you just may not want to). There is no other restaurant I have dined in in Megeve or France who has this as an option on the bank terminal. I would suggest you take this issue up with your bank so they can show you how to do it, as it affects the overall enjoyment for guests and leaves a negative impression of your intentions.

21/02/2026: We ordered takeaway pizzas during our stay in Megève! We're pizza lovers and highly recommend these pizzas, whose toppings are truly exceptional! The tomato base is genuinely homemade, served on a thin, crispy, and flavorful crust. The creamy base is topped with bacon and delicious cheese. Everything here is in the details – a big thumbs up! And the service was prompt and friendly. We happily recommend them 🙌

25/02/2026: Loyal customers since the beginning, we were delighted to find Laurent and his team in a new, sleek, chic, and welcoming setting. The cuisine is as delicious and refined as ever. Our evening was excellent, as always. Our favorite restaurant in Megève, without a doubt. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

06/01/2026: We visited as a group of four and ordered two items since we weren’t very hungry. The server told us we needed four dishes total, so we ordered two additional items. Shortly after, the manager aggressively approached us and insisted we must order four main dishes or be charged per person—contradicting the server. When we asked to cancel and leave, the manager yelled at us, claimed we weren’t allowed to leave, grabbed menus from our hands, and repeatedly touched and yelled at my sister despite being asked to stop. We were humiliated and forced to pay for the starters just to leave. This was not about money, but about extremely unprofessional, aggressive behavior and lack of communication. I would strongly advise tourists and families to avoid this place and from what I have heard food is mid....

10/03/2026: Saved us from pre-hotel starvation! 🥖👀 We were wandering around Megève waiting for our hotel room to be ready when we spotted a long queue. Naturally, we joined it and it was the best decision of the day! A quick warning: There is no seating. This is a "grab your food and eat it on the street" kind of place. But wow, the food! I had one of the best sandwiches I have had lately. If you need a quick, top-tier bite and do not mind a little standing picnic, do not let the line scare you away. It moves fast and the reward is worth it.

04/02/2026: This establishment offers perfectly acceptable quality cuisine for a tourist spot right in the heart of Megève. The value for money is good, and the selection is quite varied. Special mention goes to the staff, who are truly fantastic, with a special shout-out to Amélie, the Quebecer, and the Colombian, who make the experience even more enjoyable. From the Belgians 😁

20/02/2026: We loved this place and visited twice during our week in Megeve. A friendly welcome and good hospitality at an unpretentious cafe bar. Food is consistently good and home cooked. A refreshing, authentic spot in an overpriced, overly-glamorous town.

15/02/2026: Good evening, we're here right now. Our phone battery died, and the lady at the tobacconist's kindly agreed to help us out. So we're having a drink and a delicious Nutella waffle for my son – fantastic! Everyone is smiling, efficient, and charming, plus they're showing a live rugby match on their screen – a great time! A big thank you to you all. I'm staying until Thursday and I'll definitely be back. A thousand thanks again, madam, you brightened our day! 💯👍

11/02/2026: We stopped by for lunch today and received a very warm welcome. The set menu, both appealing and offered at a very reasonable price—unbeatable in Megève at just €40, worthy of a fine dining establishment—was of excellent quality. We had a lovely time with friends.
