04/01/2026: We had a lovely last meal here with a group of friends before some left home after a great week of skiing! Recommended by our friend Kit back in Jersey! We were so glad we managed to get a table. Everyone loved every dish and it felt so cosy and lovely staff. We might be back again this week if we can!

18/02/2026: An exceptional establishment, nothing to complain about, everything was perfect. The staff, the rooms, the cleanliness, the restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel. One small drawback: the pool needs to be heated more. Thank you all for the warm welcome.

15/02/2026: A perfect stay at the Hotel Le Rock Noir! We received a warm welcome from a young and dynamic team. Everything was perfect for making us feel completely at home, with attentive service. A lovely hotel that I highly recommend and plan to return to during our next stay in Serre Chevalier! It's well located, right at the foot of the slopes and close to shops. The après-ski spa is incredibly comfortable! (Perhaps the pool temperature could be raised a few degrees...?). The small fire on the terrace, besides being warm, is a wonderfully cozy spot to enjoy a drink and roast marshmallows 🫶🏻. Thank you so much!!

14/02/2026: A sure bet, whether for lunch with its homemade cuisine or for the always excellent crêpe (salted caramel, my favorite) after a day of skiing. The icing on the cake is the friendly, cheerful, and attentive staff; it's always a pleasure to see Olivier and his team. Go without hesitation!

06/02/2026: One of the few restaurants in the area with good food, generous portions, and friendly service. It is not a fine dining place, but the dishes are tasty and the place is cozy. Recomand!

20/02/2026: As longtime customers and restaurant owners, we miss the previous owner. The setting was pleasant (the waitress was excellent and filling in that day). We had booked five days in advance and requested the downstairs room for 7 pm. Upon arrival, the owner told us, "We'll seat you there…" He then brought us two chairs, as the table was upstairs… set up for only two people… They brought my 80-year-old father a soaking wet, frozen patio chair (it was snowing outside) that was too low for him… After we pointed this out, they brought my parents two large armchairs. The meal went smoothly. When it came time to pay, the owner apologized and offered us a digestif, which somewhat made up for the initial lack of professionalism. Please pay attention to your customers 😉. Best of luck.

18/02/2026: If you're not hungry, I recommend this restaurant. The beef is a good appetizer, but not for the main course; you'll leave hungry. The side dishes are overcooked potatoes and unappetizing ratatouille. If, after reading this, you decide to go, double-check your bill at the counter. They won't bring it to your table, just to rip you off even more: one extra soda and two extra fruit juices. Don't be surprised, though, the carafe of water is €5.50. This restaurant is definitely not what it used to be. I completely agree with a comment I just read: running a restaurant is a profession, not a scam.

26/02/2026: We love this very pleasant place. It's very professional, so the food is excellent, and the service is very friendly. Even for a late-morning coffee, which elsewhere would disturb the team finishing up for the busy service ahead, at L'Echaillon we are welcomed warmly, and we can pay by credit card!
