21/08/2024: I’ve tried many Indian restaurants, but " Shahi Mahal Indian Restaurant Strasbourg" is hands down the best! The flavors are authentic, and the portions are generous. The lamb vindaloo was my favorite – spicy, tangy, and absolutely delicious. The interior is modern yet warm, making it a great place for a dinner date or a casual meal with friends. Highly recommended!

08/09/2024: Certes les sauces sont épiées selon votre choix , mais le poulet est sec et de basse qualité ! Malgré de nombreuses sollicitations en ce sens auprès du gérant , je constate malgré mes différents passages que .. rien ne change ! Je suis très surpris que peu de clients ne fassent cette distinction , serait-ce parce que le goût des différentes sauces masque la faible qualité du poulet , de l'agneau et l'intérieur de la viande .. vraiment sec et insipide !! Il en est de même avec les plats a emporter , la qualité et la quantité n'est pas au rendez-vous , c'est vraiment regrettable ! De grâce , revisitez la qualité de votre poulet et de votre agneau auprès de vos fournisseurs , au risque de voir votre clientèle partir ailleurs ! Amis clients , faites la distinction , si besoin informés le gérant ici et lors de vos passages , cela sera salvateur pour toutes et tous ! Merci.

15/09/2024: Having discovered Punjab a few years ago, we come back regularly to enjoy the exceptional cuisine: from starters to main courses and especially desserts (special mention to the cardamom ice cream).... no failure! Lots of vegetarian options too which is nice. The staff is charming, whether it is the chef or the two waitresses. Thank you for your warm welcome to each of our visits!

17/09/2024: Very good dishes, full of flavors! The room is small, we had no difficulty (on a Sunday evening) but in high season, it is safer to book. The server/manager is kind and attentive to customers. We are vegan and were able to eat without difficulty (vegetable biryani and many vegan starters)

03/12/2024: The smell of Indian spices wafting on a drizzly night in Nice drew a friend and myself into a charming restaurant and a wonderful meal. Even though it was too early by French standards to eat dinner, the owner welcomed us and gave us a little history. The building dates from the mid 1700's and was originally an overnight stop for mail horses. Drinking troughs still line the walls and a sleeping platform for drivers still exists. It's perhaps bigger than it looks as it has an upstairs dining area but the downstairs is small and cozy. The food was lovely and the proprietor, a second generation owner, was attentive and generous. If you crave Indian food, it's a must. They also do takeout and delivery.

15/08/2024: Very pretty decor. Indian restaurant near the Virgina hotel. As an aperitif I am served a sort of dry pancake with 3 small sauces. Sweet is my favorite, mint is good. The dishes are very good. The menu is copious. The starter already settles the stomach well: it's 3 breaded with a large square of melted cheese inside. I think the dish alone would be enough. I really like the dish that comes on a small stove. It's super pretty and original. The rice is very good and so is the dish. It makes you want to eat. It's not expensive because I ordered the menu. Dessert is a fruit salad which feels good. I spoke with the boss who is super nice. I will come back at the end of August I think.

28/08/2024: Nous avons très bien mangé, prix raisonnables, service très bien , le propriétaire est très sympathique, attention il ne prend pas les cartes cadeaux the fork, nous y reviendrons certainement dans ce restaurant

15/09/2024: While passing through Manosque, we tried this restaurant following previous reviews: we loved it. The owner, who also does the service, welcomes you with a certain sense of humor. A good house cocktail is offered to you. The meal was plentiful enough for us (chef's menu with starter + main course + dessert at €29). The Indian flavors are really there. We loved the mint Lassi served generously: we had it in a large pitcher for 2, we were able to 'serve several glasses and enjoy it properly. For my part I was only disappointed by the shrimp curry sauce which was a little too salty for my taste otherwise for the rest it was a treat. And all this in a subdued atmosphere with an Indian atmosphere: a real culinary journey!

23/09/2024: We are a English couple who live in the French Alpes. We struggle to get a descent curry. We stumbled on this place while touring. Wow finally a good curry. The portions we good, good choice of veggie options for my parter. The owner was so nice and such a cool guy who made us feel like he was our friend. We both like spice and he gave us some of his own spice sauce to try, he was giving gifts to kids walking past, making everyone in his company feeling happy. Highly recommend this place. Awesome place, awesome food, awesome owner.
