14/08/2024: L'endroit est atypique et le patron fort sympathique vous accueille en toute convivialité. La formule est originale et sans superflu. Les foues sont bons et les garnitures variées. Vous pouvez y aller même avec un enfant en bas âge.

29/07/2024: Superb establishment ***** Best place in town!!!!!😜🥳 The boss is a very nice person.. His pork filet mignon with camembert sauce is a real killer!!😜 Always so cool and perfect welcome!! His card should be reimbursed by social security!!😘💕👌

14/12/2024: Good welcome on arrival by a charming lady. The room was clean but a little dated. Breakfast is ok. The coffee in the machine is not great.

14/11/2024: We came to this place twice. Smiling and friendly. We will come back on our next getaway to Chinon As planned we came back to have our aperitif. There have been some changes to the cafe but still welcoming. And we were lucky that its card payment center worked again for our payment. Norman family who returned to your beautiful region.

11/11/2024: Small family dinner. The welcome was pleasant, the service professional and fast. Hesitating about an aperitif, the waitress did not hesitate to offer me a snack and served me a glass (rare enough to be noted and very appreciated, thank you!). While waiting for the children's menus, the owner offered my daughters markers to keep them waiting and was friendly and accessible during the meal. On the plate, the dishes are good, try to favor homemade fries instead of frozen fries and the score will be perfect. Overall, very good value for money. I recommend this establishment.

09/07/2024: The boss or employee gives the impression that he is being disturbed, friendly underneath all. Given the location, tourists are captive. Cold drinks requested, lukewarm drinks served. And the season is only just beginning....move on.

05/05/2024: The best pastries I have ever had!!! Pure butter and you can feel it! We made the detour on purpose 😅.

17/09/2024: Plus points, they looked after our bikes very well Our room was on the fourth floor and there was no lift. Breakfast was chaotic, no one seemed to be in charge and they kept running out of food. They promised gluten-free food which turned out to be dry crackers.

08/09/2024: Came here on a sunday. We had some fantastic lunch and then a nice walk along the river. This was one of the few shops that were open and we felt like having some desserts. So we bought several pieces of patisserie. Got two Eclairs, a vanilla/straciatella, an almond tartelette and a chocolate cake. All did look very pretty and nicely done. But besides the tartelette it was all a bit of the same. All similar, cream filled patisserie. Basically the same inside. Not really bad, but just very average and nothing exciting. We've had some amazing desserts in France and compared to other these items here were a bit of a let-down. Like I said, they were fine, but I was looking for something great. Staff was nice though and the prices are fair. But next time in town I'll try another bakery.

09/07/2024: Small traditional hotel as I like them: friendly welcome from the owner and around ten rooms certainly not necessarily with modern Scandinavian decoration but I prefer because it is more authentic. The hotel is not at all far from the city center: 5/10 min on foot.

08/07/2024: Bar restaurant and tobacco + PMU very pleasant and a restaurant so you eat very well there "congratulations to Julie" it is also welcoming and friendly "Well done to the bosses and employees" Great location for people and travelers arriving by train All the best

16/09/2024: Excellent food. Good service Well advised on the local Chinon wine. Entrecôte cooked to perfection. Crème Brûlée is why we come to France. Great first night.

29/08/2024: Fuimos un jueves a las 13.40 de la tarde y no nos quisieron dar de comer, la maitre nos miró de arriba a abajo y nos dijo que no había mesa, habiendo mesas libres y siguieron llegando personas y a ellos les dieron de comer. Racistas! 😡

21/08/2024: Very nice little restaurant. The food is delicious. The boss is pleasant, always there for her customer. Small negative detail, no message on the answering machine during closing days and holidays. I highly recommend.

05/08/2024: Dinner here on a set menu during the festival in Chinon. Limited choice on their set menu, but the food was good. One point off for the prices - one small salad starter, a galette and a crepe were €24 each, which seems steep. Might have been a special price for the festivities though.

14/12/2024: This restaurant is to be avoided....more than an hour of waiting to be served an unfortunate burger, which arrives with greasy, barely cooked fries and two salad leaves without a drop of sauce. And same problem at all the other tables, waiting +++ And not even a word to apologize for the wait.
