11/12/2025: The owner was unfriendly, especially for Chinon where everyone is so polite!
We waited ages for no one to take our order…
I recommend Le XV, a great pub just a street away, it's fantastic!
In short, avoid it

05/01/2025: Originally from the Paris region, I emphasize the difference in service. Fast, orders so far systematically respected to the letter, and generous portions, especially in terms of accompaniments.
23/12/2024: Takeaway order, arrived at home barely 5 minutes later, and the fries were really cold, not lukewarm, cold.
When there's a take-out order you know people aren't eating right away, so please add hot fries

09/07/2024: Small traditional hotel as I like them: friendly welcome from the owner and around ten rooms certainly not necessarily with modern Scandinavian decoration but I prefer because it is more authentic.
The hotel is not at all far from the city center: 5/10 min on foot.
08/07/2024: Bar restaurant and tobacco + PMU very pleasant and a restaurant so you eat very well there "congratulations to Julie" it is also welcoming and friendly "Well done to the bosses and employees"
Great location for people and travelers arriving by train

09/07/2024: The boss or employee gives the impression that he is being disturbed, friendly underneath all. Given the location, tourists are captive.
Cold drinks requested, lukewarm drinks served.
And the season is only just beginning....move on.
05/05/2024: The best pastries I have ever had!!! Pure butter and you can feel it! We made the detour on purpose 😅.

20/09/2024: On a small busy square but without too much noise. Very warm welcome. At Little Care.
17/09/2024: Plus points, they looked after our bikes very well
Our room was on the fourth floor and there was no lift.
Breakfast was chaotic, no one seemed to be in charge and they kept running out of food. They promised gluten-free food which turned out to be dry crackers.

04/07/2025: Big disappointment... Food ok, nothing more. Service far from overflowing with friendliness. I really felt like I was annoying the waiter by asking him what was on the menu without alcohol. Prices are rather high for the quality of what we eat, we are clearly paying for the setting which is pleasant. Waiting time suuuper long after ordering! I do not recommend at all... :c

29/08/2024: Fuimos un jueves a las 13.40 de la tarde y no nos quisieron dar de comer, la maitre nos miró de arriba a abajo y nos dijo que no había mesa, habiendo mesas libres y siguieron llegando personas y a ellos les dieron de comer. Racistas! 😡

14/12/2024: This restaurant is to be avoided....more than an hour of waiting to be served an unfortunate burger, which arrives with greasy, barely cooked fries and two salad leaves without a drop of sauce. And same problem at all the other tables, waiting +++
And not even a word to apologize for the wait.

Just a downside for me
With the increase in alcohol levels we no longer find the "Rabelaisian spirit of joy" so characteristic of the Chinons.
Certain attacks on the palate reminded me of certain Burgundies and it's a shame because that's no longer precisely the spirit

Certains midi, l’attente peut être importante.
