22/02/2026: We only stayed one night, but this short stay allowed us to enjoy the authentic charm of your inn.
We would gladly return for a few days.
21/02/2026: Fantastic experience at the Auberge des Montauds! We stayed in the family room, which was perfect for a family of four. We also really enjoyed the evening meal with the half-board option.
The parking lot was cleared of snow in the morning, but given the location, you should be prepared with appropriate equipment depending on the forecast (winter tires, snow socks, etc.).
It must be a lovely experience in the summer too. We'll be back! 🤗

The downstairs room is beautiful, very cozy, with pleasant background music.
The servers are friendly. I'll definitely be back!!

The ingredients are incredibly fresh and of the highest quality, and you can taste it from the first bite. The dishes are delicious, expertly prepared, and made with care. The service is pleasant and the atmosphere is friendly. A wonderful discovery; I highly recommend it!

07/12/2025: We came for lunch with our little dog. There were no problems at all 😉 this autumn.
The welcome was very friendly, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and we had the fondue, which was a real treat. The cheeses were high quality and the charcuterie was excellent. A very, very good restaurant; we will return during the Christmas holidays with our children and grandchildren.
We highly recommend it.
30/11/2025: From the owner, who expertly sells his signature dessert, to the attentive, professional, and incredibly friendly waitresses, to the delicious, authentic mountain cuisine, BRAVO!

11/02/2026: We came as a family for several days and we were all delighted. The welcome was warm, the service impeccable, the rooms comfortable and spotless, and the breakfast generous and high-quality (homemade yogurt, fir honey, jams from the garden...). We felt right at home: books, games, a crackling fire, and genuine kindness.
The cuisine is exceptional, with a renowned chef, awarded a Michelin star, who cooks exclusively with fresh, local produce, much of it grown in the hotel's own enormous kitchen garden. A hidden gem in the Vercors!
We highly recommend it.
31/01/2026: The room was spotless with everything you could need, the breakfast was generous, and the meal was worthy of a semi-gastronomic restaurant, prepared with passion and local ingredients.
A warm welcome. Excellent value for money. We highly recommend it.

24/02/2026: Great for a day out with family or friends, it's perfect. The weather was beautiful, the snow was perfect for Christmas 2024 and the weather was soft in February 2026.
24/02/2026: The kids had a blast on the snooc. Great experience. The price is reasonable; remember your valid Skypass, it saves you from paying an extra €3 for the Keypass on top of the €16 for just one hour of fun.

27/02/2026: I can only judge the restaurant itself.
Unfortunately, and I'm sorry to say this, I hesitated because the owner is friendly and offered us a discount without us even asking, but I can't let people be misled by the travel guide's history.
I ate a baked Camembert from Intermarché with four 3cm x 3cm potatoes and a (good) green salad, along with slices of cheap bread, for €18.50.
My partner and stepson had Intermarché ravioli with a drizzle of truffle-flavored oil (probably something completely mass-produced and inexpensive) for the same price.
There was a lot of confusion, but I don't hold it against them. The discount, however appreciated, can't cover €17 in the end for such blatant incompetence. I can't let other customers be ripped off; they seriously need to raise their standards.
16/02/2026: Excellent hotel, ideally located in the center of Villard-de-Lans.
Unbeatable value for money; we were on half-board and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Dinner was fabulous and breakfast was very complete.
The only slight drawback is the parking, which isn't easy.
The manager and his wife are exceptionally kind and helpful.
We will definitely be back.
The rooms are very nice.

16/02/2026: It's not good, I don't recommend it. The service is slow and the pizzas are cooked to a crisp, with a charcoal taste.
08/02/2026: We were lucky with this restaurant once again.
Looking for a place to try local ravioli, we stopped at La Taverne and had a wonderful meal. The service was attentive and welcoming, just like being at home.
This is truly an establishment that deserves to be better known and attract more customers.
