14/09/2024: We stayed at the Hotel De L'Ange for 5 nights and can recommend it without reservation. We had a newly renovated, quiet double room with a view of the vineyards and a large shower. The welcome from the friendly owner and the support from the hotel staff are warm, helpful and service-oriented. Particularly high praise goes to the varied, very tasty, Italian-tinged, very tasty French food with freshly prepared ingredients. In addition to the owner, the hard-working and always good-humoured employee Jenny deserves special mention of the perfect service in the restaurant. Also worth mentioning is the good location for numerous excursions in southern Alsace and the good parking facilities directly in front of the hotel. No question, we will choose the Hotel De L'Ange again for our next stay in this beautiful region!

29/08/2024: Friend of Joy, friend of life, go your way, because in this sullen establishment, all enthusiasm has disappeared. The icy welcome will melt the last spark of life in your heart. Here Farewell humor and pleasure. It seems that the soup of grimaces and haughty judgment is in order. Be careful, don't bother the manager who seems to be extremely bothered by the presence of foreigners in her hotel. And if despite our warnings you dare to cross the doors of this establishment, be careful! An obscure law dating from Methuselah prohibits entering in shorts, even at 30°C! If despite everything you persist, prepare yourself for the 80s style decor, the more than passable rooms, the mediocre food and the bad mood (fortunately not representative of Alsace) Friend, you have been warned! In response to your response: Hello to you, dear master of the sacred Bauhaus, Your sharp pen entertained me very well, Please allow me to clarify this in return. Vegetarian lasagna, tiramisu at the end, Filled my stomach, without spoiling the feast. I assure you here, I have not lied in any way, The meal that was eaten hardly dazzled me. Accuse me of lying? This is a very poor ruse, A shameful procedure, a poor excuse. If the woman at the entrance was not the boss, Alas, his welcome chilled my crown. Its coldness, its contempt, far from Alsace wine, Have left a very sad place in our hearts. Even air conditioned, on this hot day, I prefer fresh air to tight jeans. 30/08/2024: Passing customers [4 place settings] Bad welcome from the boss, and deplorable service from him. No smile and friendliness does not exist!!! Too bad the dishes were delicious.

29/07/2024: Pizza was great. Unfortunately, the service was sometimes not so friendly and stressful. The tiramisu was bad.

21/09/2024: We couldn't taste the food because we weren't served. It looked okay. After we sat down, the employee told us that we had to get up because the table needed to be cleaned. Fine in itself, although the table was not actually dirty. But the tone was immediately quite unkind and forceful. Of course it would have been nicer to ask. Anyway, there's probably a lot of annoying tourists here and it's the end of the season, so it can happen. However, when we got up, she didn't come back to actually clean the table. We then sat down again after a minute and were no longer served, while she did help other new guests. When we approached her to ask if we could order, she looked at us irritated and told us to wait a moment. We then asked if she wanted to help us, and then she got angry and indicated that she indeed did not want to help us because we did not let her clean the table (which, again, was practically clean). A single experience is of course not representative, but unfortunately we had a bad experience. 🙃

14/09/2024: La Romantica was far from romantic, with outright disrespectful and aggressive staff. We were served our food after a wait time of 1 hour at the least. When asked why the delay, the answer was promptly rude citing "you ordered a starter, hence your main course is late", which is the most absurd reply I've ever received and I have dined in over 10 different countries at countless restaurants. Instead of having an apologetic tone, the waitress (blond girl with glasses) was arrogant and disrespectful, she even swore in French, not realising that we have heard her. Apart from this horror show, the food and ambience were barely mediocre at best. Nothing worked out except the wine we had. Completely disappointed and let down by such incompetent staff.
