10/07/2026: One of only 2 vegan restaurants in Pau. Nice relaxing atmosphere. The starter was interesting raw veg, hummus and strawberries. The tabbule main had quinoa,peaches and tiny little cubes of tofu. Really tasty. Had a walnut cake for dessert. Beautiful. Highly recommended if you don't like eating where dead animals are served.
04/07/2026: I don't come often... But whenever I can choose a restaurant, it's Grignote!
We love its discreet location, the lovely natural decor, and Eva's friendly and discreet service.
The dishes are as much a feast for the eyes as for the palate, and the unique monthly menu is always a hit! I'm a big fan of the "open-faced sandwiches of the moment" in every season, and I'm never disappointed, always delighted!
And you can go for the desserts without hesitation; they're all to die for!
So yes, it won't suit every palate... Forget superficial flavors and excessive sugar. Here, it's about rediscovering more natural food, without unnecessary flavor enhancers, and vegan to boot.
It's not easy to achieve, and yet, Grignote does it brilliantly with seasonal ingredients!
So, for those who enjoy culinary innovation, simplicity, and a warm, Nordic atmosphere, I highly recommend it!
In any case, we'll be back, and more than once!

17/05/2026: This restaurant has a mandatory sales clause that requires you to order one dish per seat, even for a 2-year-old child.
17/05/2026: Lack of know-how. The manager insists that a 3-year-old have to order a meal even if they're not hungry! There were nine of us in total. So she prefers to miss out on selling eight covers just because a 3-year-old isn't hungry. She's good at math and profitability. And to top it off, the restaurant is practically empty!

08/08/2024: Nous y sommes allés avec mon conjoint, en soirée.
Nous avons pris 2 pizzas:
- 1 spéciale pizzaïolo;
-1 carbonara;
Autant le service fut impeccable rien à redire…
Habituée à manger la même pizza dans ce restaurant, elle n’avait pas le même goût, manque d’ingrédients, œuf pas cuit, la pizza fut indigeste.
Mon conjoint et moi-même avons étés malade en suivant.
Payer 38€ pour 2 pizzas et 2 pepsi pour être malade en suivant autant aller dans un bon restaurant qui n’est pas une franchise .
On paiera le même prix ou même un peu plus mais au moins on ne sera pas malade .

11/11/2024: The moral is that in the “Hospitality Business” sector, it is imperative to be welcoming and respectful towards everyone, and not just towards regular customers or acquaintances because you never know who you are dealing with… After having lunch in group in this establishment, as a customer, I returned on a Saturday evening to order a takeaway other than pizza. I was confronted with a deplorable welcome from the owner's daughter, in a restaurant that was practically empty that evening. His lack of business sense and kindness manifested itself in curt and sometimes insolent responses to simple questions. I was surprised to find that they didn't offer takeout, and when I asked if I could bring my own container, the response was particularly curt, whereas in many nearby pizzerias it is possible. to take away all the dishes and that the welcome is much warmer. Despite my hesitations about returning since this summer, when I was confronted with a humiliating and aggressive welcome from the owner, I still decided to share my experience on Google Maps. Additionally, I noticed that he seemed to encourage his friends and customers to immediately post positive reviews to outweigh the negative ones, which is against Google Maps policies. This manipulation is frowned upon by other restaurateurs, in particular because of the closing times at 9 p.m., a subject of ridicule among them. Finally, I find it unacceptable that customers already seated are refused the possibility of ordering a pizza one minute after 9 p.m., under the pretext that the kitchen is closed…. Unfortunately, his responses to comments leave something to be desired, with no professional apology to any of the objective but negative comments about his restaurant, nor any acknowledgment of the problems encountered. Read carefully the violent response to come which will confirm the mind of the owner...
10/11/2024: Very warm welcome and the pizzas are delicious with a thin, crispy crust and fresh ingredients.

24/07/2024: Endroit parfait pour une très bonne dégustation de pizza,en tant que vegetarien ,ils se sont adaptés sans aucun problème .
29/04/2024: Petit restaurant qui ressemble à un point de restauration rapide mais les pizzas que nous avons dégustées étaient originales et surtout délicieuses. Très agréable surprise, je recommande vivement ! Quand à nous, cela va devenir une adresse où nous allons retourner très vite.
