21/08/2026: I found this restaurant through an app that counts calories in photos. This grilled eel dish met my protein needs. It was very tasty and not at all bland. The dining room is quiet and the service is quick.

24/05/2026: Everything was delicious, the staff was friendly, and most importantly—something that's rare—the prices are affordable with impeccable food quality! (€13.40 for lunch: miso soup + rice + coleslaw + 6 salmon and avocado California rolls + 6 salmon maki rolls is literally unbeatable, especially in the 6th arrondissement. They also generously offered me a free drink.) I highly recommend it!! ✨

24/08/2026: A great experience for a lunch with colleagues. Despite the limited space, the staff moved the tables so we could sit together as a group of five. The food flows freely, like in an all-you-can-eat restaurant, but here it's brought directly to your table. The dishes are quite varied overall, but you have to wait about ten minutes for the offerings to be replenished. In any case, I recommend it; you won't be disappointed, and neither will your wallet!

09/08/2026: We've been enjoying our meals at Yamato for over 10 years. Out of curiosity, I read the negative reviews, and a good number of them are unbelievable. The portions are decent, and the prices, despite all the price increases, haven't changed much in 10 years. The salmon is fresh, delivered every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. We moved to Grenoble 6 years ago, but we still come to Yamato.
My favorite thing: when you eat the maki with chopsticks, the rice doesn't fall apart; the maki stays intact.
Excellent Asian restaurant! ❤️

21/07/2026: Best food I had in Lyon! I was surprised that we got miso soup each and a salad prior our dish and it was included as apperitive. Food very tasty - best ramen I've ever had. Staff very friendly - perfect english language which was a bonus. Strongly recommended.I would like to include photos but cant see that option here.
28/05/2026: "Very good and generous portions. Sushi and maki prepared and cut to order. Very good value for money," I wrote a few months ago... today, a salmon maki dish with not-very-tender salmon and two standard cheese skewers for €23.50... 50 meters further on, I pass Sully, which is listed in Michelin and Gault & Millau. A starter, main course, and dessert for €27, which is €2.50 more... Well, that's it for sushi...

17/06/2026: Excellent! I always order from there with my family because I live right next door and I've never been disappointed! The sushi is excellent, served in 15-20 minutes max. It's not even that expensive because compared to other sushi places in the same neighborhood where a plate of 12 sushi is €18, here it's €15-16. They're currently having phone problems; I hope it gets resolved quickly, but order on Uber Eats, I swear you won't be disappointed! 🥹
