05/04/2024: Lovely café with art deco deco. The food and coffees were delicious. Right on the main shopping road with lots of tables outside. So good we went there three times!

The service was amazing and I wish I knew the waiter’s name for a shoutout. But besides that, I found the portions to be indecently big which I’m sure amounts to a lot of waste. I know our table did. It was just too much and not in a good way. You might enjoy it if you are a big eater, but if you are used to Parisian portions, it might be a little over top.
I ordered the spaghetti with sea food and it smelled really bad. Really bad. When I asked about it, we were told it’s because it wasn’t the season. It had a weird stench and it wasn’t pleasant. All in all, I wasn’t too excited about my dining experience in Nice as a whole and I do find the prices to be incredibly highly for the slightly subpar food quality. Quality over quantity always for me

06/04/2024: Food...it's really bad. I waited in line to get in, but the seafood pasta and calamari came out in 5 minutes. Was it pre-cooked? The fries were soggy and the pasta was fishy. Definitely not what I expected...the servers are friendly.

The service was ok and the food was fine. My family was living for it. Me? Not so much.
The portions are way too big and the prices way too high

Accueil chalereux, belle ambiance, la nourriture est parfaitement assaisonnée et cuite, nous nous sommes régalés ! Il faut renommer ce restaurant le 24/20 !

17/03/2024: I brought my family for a dinner at La Rotonde restaurant and it became the worst experience we have ever had in a fine dining restaurant.
And this is all because of the manager of the restaurant. First of all I would like to say other than him, all other staffs were excellent and provided mostly impeccable service. However the guy in the grey suit whom I presume is the manager, he forgot he is in the service line. The entire night he treated us like second class citizens who are undeserving of his attention. He would glare at us, roll eyes at us and treated us with contempt. When we called for him when he walked pass as we wanted to order drinks, he would blatantly ignore us. The only time he came to the table is to serve us bread and he THREW the bread basket on the table. When I called for the bill, he ignored me once again and just walked past infront of me even when I had my hand raised and said “sorry, excuse me”.
After paying, when I went to collect my coat, he was the only one standing at the coat station. When he saw me coming, he pretended to look down and be busy. Pretended not to hear or notice me so I walked to the coat rack and got my own coat.
He didn’t say a word or acknowledge me when I baded him goodbye when leaving with my family.
This is the most horrendous experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I don’t think we deserve this kind of treatment just because we are Asians.

We were ignored. Food was not good. Threw up the food that night as burger was not cooked.

03/04/2024: I’ve been coming for years, and it’s excellent! One of the best brasseries in Nice thanks to their affordable prices. The food is very good and the quantity is more than sufficient. You should remember to make a reservation to eat there because the union is often full! 😉
24/03/2024: Table of 9 Saturday evening, we all enjoyed ourselves, generous starter, dessert, friendly and available waitress, excellent quality of dishes, super tender stew, homemade ravioli and gnocchi, frankly incredible and small glasses of limoncello offered at the end of the meal 👌🤩

18/02/2024: What can I say… never before seen to escape. Restaurant with a good reputation but the service was deplorable. The cuisine is not bad in itself, but come in a small group. Several vegetarian menus but with meat... new concept! Inappropriate thoughts “if there isn’t enough, cut it in half”.. move on.

Incomplete tray, 2 products were not present and replaced by others.
1 Product with meat in my partner's VG tray.
Good products but which lose their flavor due to waiting and overflow of teams.

04/04/2024: We have been returning to the Rendez-vous des Amis for years and are delighted with the quality of the food and the friendly prices. The ravioli à la mode de niçoise are worth the trip alone. The service is fast and friendly. You feel very comfortable as a guest.

The wide choice of dishes, ranging from burgers to more elaborate dishes, satisfied all the preferences of our group of friends. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for an evening with friends. In addition, the availability of children's menus was a real plus for us, ensuring that everyone found something to enjoy. We were impressed by the quality of the food and the attentive service. Without a doubt, I highly recommend La Tortola to anyone looking for an enjoyable dining experience in St Laurent du Var. I'm already planning to go back with my family to share this beautiful discovery with them.
