10/12/2023: Piattini semplici ma curati. Locale gradevole e tranquillo. Veramente cordiale il personale. E il prezzo più che adeguato. Vale la pena lasciare perdere il porto e salire qualche scalino per altro nel pittoresco quartiere del Panier.

Greek sailors from the eastern Aegean founded the city in 600 BC under the name Massialia. The site is located in the 1st arrondissement, behind the Centre Bourse shopping mall. The site was part of the ancient Greek city of Massalia. It includes parts of the ancient port and city walls, three square towers and a gate.
28/12/2025: A must-see! Just steps from the modern-day old port, discovering this ancient site is truly surprising. Don't miss the explanatory film inside the museum. Free admission.

05/01/2026: We just spent the weekend in Marseille and discovered this restaurant, "Le Souk," located on the Old Port. We loved it! The service was perfect, and the waitress was attentive and very friendly.

We'll definitely be back to eat there next time we're in Marseille! 😃
04/01/2026: Standard service.
We had booked for 1:00 PM, but being about half an hour late, I called back to apologize and let them know we were running late. No couscous with roasted lamb... Huge disappointment... I asked the waitress, who was very unfriendly, to make a small change to the four-meat couscous... which she finally agreed to... Since I don't eat carrots, I asked her to make sure to put in very, very few... The answer: no, that's impossible... As a result, there was practically nothing but carrots, two tiny pieces of zucchini, and that was it... My husband, starving because we had driven for an hour and a half and done some sightseeing, ate all the carrots out of spite... And, what a surprise it was when we saw that the semolina or vegetables were extra!!!... It's the first time!!!... So, obviously, we didn't enjoy this moment at all.... Very bad experience... Above all, don't go to these restaurants on the port... They think they can get away with anything.... Next time, we'll go to the center of Marseille. in small, unpretentious restaurants that respect the customer...

25/11/2025: Food was great, and so was the service! I came with my family and we had a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The head chef was incredibly attentive. He personally checked in on us several times to make sure everything was perfect. You could really feel the care and pride he puts into both the food and the overall experience. And the servers were all very nice as well. We couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Thank you so much again!
25/10/2025: • Le Relais 50 is located at 20 Quai du Port, 13002 Marseille, right on the Vieux-Port waterfront, which gives it an excellent harbour-front setting. 
• The restaurant emphasizes Mediterranean cuisine with seasonal, organic ingredients and a modern brasserie feel. According to the guide Gault & Millau it serves dishes such as fish-soup, octopus tempura, ballotine of chicken with polenta & spinach, and claims “correct” chocolate desserts. 
• It has very high user ratings on TheFork: 9.1/10 overall, with 9.3 for food, service and atmosphere. 
• Reviewers on Yelp describe it as “good for kids”, with outdoor seating, quiet ambience and friendly service.

01/02/2026: Not highly recommended. The clams we were served were a disappointment. The prawns were bland and the oysters weren't very fresh. The snails were extremely spicy.
31/01/2026: Good shellfish in a pleasant setting with a view of the port, you'd have to be hard to please not to like it.

15/02/2026: So yesterday we went, the waiter told us we wouldn't get a table for another hour because the place was full. He took our reservation, so we came back an hour later, around 10 PM, and surprise, he told us they were closing because they were out of pizza dough. Uh-oh, you should have managed your dough stock properly! Anyway, I was so annoyed, even the next day. 2026 is just around the corner, we need to stay focused.

09/07/2025: Friendly waitress but cold mussels (3 out of 5 dishes), hamburger without cheese (the first time I've seen that), and on top of that, 3 fries that are chasing each other for a €23 burger.
This restaurant has changed a lot; we used to go there every year, but now we'll change.
08/07/2025: We took the bouillabaisse for 40 euros a portion - it was enough for two, croutons and garlic sauce are added to the dish. It was my first time eating it, so there's nothing to compare it to, but it's not bad.

10/12/2025: It's quite rare for me to leave a review, but unfortunately… The prices are excessive: the meat, with the sauce on the side, cost me €30 in total, and it gave me a stomach ache for three days, and I'm far from being sensitive. The garlic pasta was barely cooked.
Regarding the service, nothing particular to say except that the menu wasn't explained to us, just a quick order.
In the end, there was no receipt, and after checking, a difference of €5 to €7. It's not a big deal in itself—I can even pay €20 more when the service and food are impeccable—but it's a matter of respect for the customer.
On the other hand, the next day I went to a brasserie called Oléa. And there, you can see the difference. I'll let you look up the name of the restaurant in Marseille: the reviews and ratings speak for themselves and perfectly reflect the quality of the place.

25/01/2026: This restaurant is a complete rip-off. I don't usually check reviews before going into a restaurant, but I should have 😡 The service was appalling, despite a smiling waiter. The dishes were tasteless and very small, for exorbitant prices 😡
And to top it all off, the credit card terminal didn't work. Strange, since this problem is mentioned repeatedly in the reviews. Something's fishy... you have to withdraw money from an ATM located inside a shop next door. I seriously question this kind of practice.
In short, avoid at all costs. This kind of establishment seriously damages the image of the Old Port.

New Year's Eve spent at this restaurant… a complete disaster.
The food was tasteless, bland, and unseasoned. Absolutely nothing.
Even an 11-year-old could do much better.
The portions? Indecent.
The quantity was so minimal it bordered on contempt for the customer. Wow, but it was a total rip-off.
I've never eaten so badly in my entire life.
A ruined New Year's Eve, a truly dismal experience.

Dishonest menu, had a terrible experience here. The dish under SPECIALTY describes with ‘cod fillet’, and the waitress also said it is white fish before we ordered. And when the food is served there is no fish at all(see photo attached the white mixture is a thick sauce and not fish just to be clear), the waitress pointed at the mussels and one shrimp and said it is fish, I thought to myself this is ridiculous because I can read!! After we query again before we pay they finally acknowledged they missed the fish which they could have served the fish the first time we asked instead of trying to fool their customers. End of day had 3 euro off an 19.5€ supposed to be a specialty dish, and they don’t give the main ingredient.
