15/07/2026: A huge disappointment for Bastille Day... I was looking forward to a delicious mussels and fries with my daughter 🤷, a classic dish... At €21 a plate 🤦, I really thought I'd enjoy it... But disappointment was definitely on the menu. The mussels in cream sauce with garlic or Maroilles cheese were tasteless... and mostly water 😅. That's expensive for water! Undercooked vegetables! And frozen fries 🤦. Luckily, we skipped dessert to avoid the unpleasant aftertaste 🤷. A huge disappointment. Fortunately, Bray Dunes is better known for its beach 🤩

11/07/2026: Went for a beer 🍺 🍺 on the terrace. Very welcoming. Very friendly staff. Haven't tried the restaurant yet. Emilie, the owner, is very friendly.

14/05/2026: We had two ice creams and were very disappointed.

13/05/2026: The team is fantastic (owner and waitresses) and the food is superb, no complaints about the quality, the dishes are incredibly delicious and excellent (20/20)! However, the pop music playing on repeat is pure torture for a metalhead's ears. I'll definitely be back for the taste, the service, and the excellent food, but I'll be wearing headphones!

28/07/2026: Very disappointing. I ordered a waffle with an extra scoop of ice cream, but I was charged the wrong price. I pointed it out to the waiter, who seemed completely lost, and it took almost 10 minutes to pay. As for the waffle itself, I knew it would be mass-produced, so I wasn't expecting anything exceptional. However, the Nutella is served separately, in three tiny packets that you spread yourself. Even using all three, there's barely enough to cover the waffle. If you ask for more, it's charged extra. Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen such stinginess. 🤣

25/07/2026: Seated at 1:30 PM. Ignored until 2:20 PM. Someone comes to our table. "Could we have a menu, please?" "Sorry, sir, the kitchen just closed." I'd been waiting for an hour, watching people get served all sorts of dishes. What a joke. Avoid this place.

21/07/2026: A charming, old-fashioned restaurant/bar with a warm welcome. Unfortunately, since I didn't order mussels, I chose the sausage and fries. Disappointment! It was just a simple Knacki sausage when I was expecting something like a Maroilles sausage.

25/06/2026: Excellent family-run establishment and good food.

22/07/2026: A warm welcome awaits you at this traditional brasserie. We dined on the terrace, enjoying friendly and efficient service. We sampled the mussels marinière and the cod, both well-prepared and generously portioned. The only slight drawback was the particularly salty mussel broth. But overall, a positive experience!

14/07/2026: One-hour wait before being served. The salmon was dry and very pale, with little flavor. It was either overcooked or of poor quality. Disappointed, I won't be going back.

23/07/2026: The person taking our takeout orders was very unpleasant, no greeting, and spoke curtly! She charged us for two sauces when we only ordered one. Honestly, that woman shouldn't be there 😡.

23/07/2026: A warm and friendly welcome from both the young brunette and the blonde lady – nothing to complain about! As for the sauces, it's clearly stated on the menu that they're extra, and the portions are well worth €0.60... The cheese croquettes, shrimp croquettes, and fish and chips were great! I had the mussels and was honestly pleasantly surprised by the quality for the price! We even came back for the chocolate waffles with whipped cream – amazing! Keep up the good work, we'll gladly come back during the holidays!

30/07/2026: Between the waiter with the ponytail taunting the customers and the waitress insulting a guy at the bar... When you look in the kitchen, there are tons of canned goods... Not to mention the disgusting toilets. Honestly, this place is top-notch! A little health inspection would do some good.

30/07/2026: Unpleasant staff, it's literally canned food, a disgrace, not to mention the fact that the glasses and even the pitcher were disgustingly filthy, with hair or some other kind of fur in the plates. I definitely do not recommend it.

17/07/2026: The terrace is very pleasant and sheltered from the wind.

16/07/2026: We stopped for a drink. We were seated in the back next to the restrooms, even though the restaurant was empty, but we still managed to get another table there. (The restrooms smelled awful.) The music was too loud; we couldn't hear each other. I asked them to turn it down, but they said no, otherwise it would have to be turned down for the whole restaurant. My husband ordered a milkshake and waffles, which weren't good—they had no flavor. The waiter was pleasant.

29/06/2026: I gave it one star because there's no less, and not against the place itself, but the guy who works there... I joined my brother for a beer, and this man looked like he'd seen devils or aliens! Unbelievable, this guy, he talks to us while looking up, he doesn't respond to hello, thank you, or goodbye. The girl, on the other hand, is nice...

01/05/2026: What a surprise to be criticized for placing my bets at a PMU outlet! The man who "greeted" me started explaining that the PMU didn't bring him any profit, that I should use the machines since he had to serve customers, and that I should be spending money instead... He should be consistent and just close the PMU outlet altogether. Add to that the fact that you rarely get a response when you say hello or goodbye, and it's clearly not an inviting place. It's disheartening to see people who obviously don't enjoy their jobs.

11/02/2026: After a stroll on the beach, a quick stop at this lovely spot will delight you. Pleasant service, very polite staff, clean place. A renowned establishment: Chez Sam A place worth revisiting sometime 👍

03/01/2026: Hello, we booked for 9 people... the table was set. A waiter who liked to tell jokes... the mussels and ice cream were very good... we'll be back
