04/09/2026: Popped in just for a coffee, rude/grumpy staff, tried to over charge us for large coffees when we had small, then seemingly annoyed when we asked to correct it, €2.50 surcharge for oat milk, and unfortunately , the coffee was over steamed and honestly, not good. Maybe would have been different if we were having food!?

30/09/2026: A very disappointing restaurant. I was walking around the neighborhood and decided to stop at Solférino with some friends. Oh, what a surprise when the dishes arrived at the table! The steak tartare came with four fries that looked like they were fighting for space, the Italian salad was so bad it was incomprehensible how they even made it, and I ordered a beef steak that was rubbery. The green peppercorn sauce was clearly canned. For an appetizer, we decided to treat ourselves and ordered calamari. Fried, of course, it was rubbery. The mozzarella finger was a joke, and we wondered what it was doing there with a tartar sauce mixed with canned mayonnaise. The duck confit was also canned. In short, all this to say that we don't understand what the owner is trying to do. Is it classic cuisine, Chinese food with poke bowls, or Italian? I understand they want to attract as many customers as possible from different backgrounds. It's expensive, of course; the rent can't be free. But I think the owner should seriously consider finding a real chef who knows how to cook high-end cuisine. And let's face it, these days in restaurants, the advantage for the owner is that this staff isn't paid very much. Sir, I will never set foot in your establishment again, and I certainly won't be recommending you. The restaurant looks nice, but the food is appalling. Avoid it! It's a tourist trap.

24/07/2026: "Secret" tip - a normal pub in the area, where there is either nothing or significantly more expensive establishments. Food and service are great, the staff made up of local regulars adds to the atmosphere. Only us tourists.

13/10/2026: We've been to this charming restaurant several times. The owner and staff are very friendly and efficient. The menu changes often, but everything is delicious. We particularly love the stuffed cabbage and their incredible pie-style pâté en croûte.

12/09/2026: A very good neighborhood restaurant. The food is delicious. The service is excellent and the wine selection is superb. I've tried both the à la carte menu and the lunch menu. My only slight disappointment was that I had frozen fries several times at lunchtime :( It's true it's the lunch menu, but we're talking about fries, and that makes all the difference.

02/08/2026: The restaurant seemed very dirty during my visit: the floor was filthy, the toilets were in a deplorable state, and from our table, we could see the oven, which looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. These conditions made me feel very uncomfortable and do not meet the expectations one has of a restaurant. I hope that measures will be taken to improve hygiene quickly.

23/09/2026: We enjoyed dining at this restaurant to celebrate a special birthday - a refined lunch and good service without feeling overly fussy. The dishes were excellent and especially enjoyed the monkfish. Looking forward to returning!

26/09/2026: Over the years, the quality has declined… while the prices have skyrocketed! An example? We ordered our usual club sandwich. It used to cost nearly €17 and came with four club sandwich triangles and fries. Now: €19.90… for just two triangles. Prices go up and portions go down… What's a shame is that Le Roussillon is no longer the neighborhood bar-restaurant where locals liked to grab a coffee, an aperitif, and the occasional meal. It's become a tourist trap… And since we're from the neighborhood, we don't belong there anymore… So goodbye Le Roussillon…

Today my daughter was crying and desperately needed to use the restroom. We explained the situation to the manager and told him we were willing to get a table, but he and his staff still refused to let her use it. She was a child in obvious distress, yet they chose to turn her away. Whatever image of elegance this restaurant projects, basic consideration for a child in this situation should come first. The way the manager and his staff handled this situation was completely unacceptable. It was an experience we will not forget, and it left us with an extremely poor impression of the restaurant and its management. This is not the level of hospitality one would expect from an establishment of this kind in Paris. --- This is a very nice restaurant with an upscale appearance, but unfortunately our experience was deeply disappointing and disturbing. Today my daughter was crying and desperately needed to go to the bathroom. We explained the situation to the manager and told him we were ready to take a table, but he and his staff still refused to let her use the restroom. She was clearly a child in distress, yet they chose to refuse her. Regardless of the image of elegance this restaurant tries to project, a minimum of consideration for a child in such a situation should be paramount. The way the manager and his staff handled this situation was completely unacceptable. It's an experience we won't forget and one that has left us with a very negative impression of this restaurant and its management. This is not the level of service and hospitality one has the right to expect from an establishment of this caliber in Paris.
