02/04/2024: The welcome is excellent, the location perfect. The entrance hall is beautiful, however, disappointment in the room. Clean and spacious but a little outdated. Lack of warmth, decoration and above all no coffee/tea tray: no way to prepare something hot when you wake up. Even asking at reception, nothing is provided. Obviously no bottle of water offered either... The vanity unit was falling, no one had noticed. This was rectified when I reported it. Disappointing for a hotel that aims to be of high standard. Too bad for a 4 star.

01/04/2024: What can I say? A top 4 star hotel in a really great location, almost everything can be reached on foot in 2-3 km. The service is 5 star level, the restaurant is second to none, the waiter in the bar area deserves promotion for his almost exaggerated politeness and friendliness. It's rare to see a waiter who loves his job as much as he does. Really, if I had a restaurant/bar I would have offered him a job straight away. The reception is awesome! The rooms are old, but very well maintained, look really nice and yes, all in all it is a 100% recommendable hotel. Also family-friendly thanks to the connecting doors. The only point of criticism: there are no tomatoes or cucumbers or anything else for breakfast. That would be recommended in this day and age. And: the rooms are so hot! I have no idea what's going on, but even with the heater turned off I could barely use the blanket. Everyone just sweated during the night. Unfortunately, open windows are not an option because at night some people think they have to step on the gas right at the hotel. However, you can't hear anything when the window is closed! If I come to Paris again, I will 100% come to this hotel because it just fits and I feel at home.

02/04/2024: We enjoyed a delicious meal at this great neighborhood restaurant on March 20, 2024. Our waiter Karan was WONDERFUL -- he made us out-of-towners feel very welcome and provided EXCEPTIONAL service throughout our meal! We had the Lola Salad and the vegetarian burger and both were DELCIOUS! The drinks were also fabulous -- we had 2 Kir Royales and loved them! We were staying at the Hyatt Madeleine a few blocks away and found this restaurant by running a quick online search for nearby restaurants. This was our first meal in Paris after arriving and it was the perfect way to begin our stay there!! We can't wait to return for another meal the next time we visit Paris! 14/03/2024: A classical parisian bistro serving traditional french classics. Well made at agreeable prices. I have little to fault them, the concept is tried and tested, yet it feels this is one of a thousand like it in Paris. Good, but a bit boring. Service deducted for presenting duck breast as the substitute for running out of beef, but then serving confied duck leg - difference is, ahem, noticeable. Tasty though ;)

27/02/2024: Very good evening at the restaurant Le Madeleine C. with its refined cuisine. The dishes are served on hot plates (a point to highlight because it is always more pleasant) Very nice to be able to chat with the cook and the waitress at the end of the meal. I highly recommend this address.

05/04/2024: My recent visit to La Maison de la Truffle in Paris left me with mixed feelings. As it was my birthday, my partner and I decided to try our luck without a reservation on a Friday evening. Surprisingly, due to a last-minute cancellation, we were able to secure a table for two. However, the initial excitement quickly faded as we encountered several disappointments throughout the evening. Despite our polite request, the wobbly table remained unaddressed by the servers, detracting from the overall dining experience. Furthermore, the timing of our order was notably delayed, with our neighbors being seated and served before us, despite arriving later. This discrepancy left us feeling overlooked and undervalued as patrons, with our order being taken a frustrating 25 minutes after we were seated. The veal Milanese, a dish I had eagerly anticipated, turned out to be a letdown. Despite the addition of cheese and black truffle, the flavor fell flat, and the texture was disappointingly soggy. It lacked the boldness and finesse I had expected from such a renowned establishment. On the other hand, my partner’s choice, the pizzeria with truffle flavor, fared better and was the saving grace of our meal. The subtle hints of truffle infused into the pizza elevated its taste, earning it praise amidst the disappointment. While I commend La Maison de la Truffle for its elegant ambiance and commitment to fine dining standards, the overall dining experience fell short of my expectations. Despite the intriguing menu offerings, the subpar execution and inconsistencies in service left me disheartened. Having experienced many other exceptional truffle dishes at various establishments throughout Paris, I couldn’t help but feel that La Maison de la Truffle failed to deliver on its promise of culinary excellence. Despite the allure of returning to explore their menu further, I am hesitant to revisit La Maison de la Truffle given the disappointing experience. Also they charged €9 for a bottle of sparkling water that was brought to us almost 30mins after requesting for it - not sure how I felt About that either. And please do take a moment to see how chewy the bread was as well.

05/04/2024: Interesting story ! We visited the restaurant at the end of March)! And everything was fine at the beginning of the journey! Excellent and expensive dishes! The pizza is fantastic, the omelette is incomparable! I appeal to the restaurant owners! We urgently need to do something about the service! Dirty dishes are not left for 20 minutes! The handsome waiter ignores everything about it! He takes a dirty fork and offers to put it in instead of a clean one! He brings the wrong dishes as ordered! No approach to the table! Offers to tip only tourists! Hammer showed his attitude towards me personally! How can this be! Just a disaster, shame on him! Ham! I'll never go there again! Absolutely the worst place for service in Paris

05/04/2024: Pizzeria with Italian accents. When we arrive, the smells delight us and the singing accents take us on a journey. The welcome is friendly. The “pesto” pizza is delicious, the dough is thin, crispy and the toppings are generous. Come travel!

30/03/2024: What a disappointment, there is a serious problem with quality/price ratio in this restaurant. Honestly, on a €27 menu, the cuisine is non-existent. The food is just cooked, no know-how. Absurd for the price. Cooking salmon is not even mastered. Let's talk about the service, the staff is friendly, but once again, when you offer dishes for more than €20, you need the service that goes with it. They're talking to each other, they're on their phones, they're talking to each other, but where are we? In terms of cuisine and service, I really don't see what justifies you being twice as expensive as the kebab in the same street, and even there, the meat is marinated! Lower your prices by 30% and there will be some semblance of consistency. Frankly, if you want to compare, go and taste the Second Empire salmon on rue du Renard, same price but real cuisine... What you suggested to me, a 10 year old child can do. Very disappointed, it's bad for the price.
