05/11/2025: You have to find this place by word of mouth; it's a bit hidden. The decor is a little dated, but the waitress is pleasant and knows how to recommend their delicious and very generous regional dishes.
I recommend it.

The exterior isn't much to look at. You go behind the bar to discover the restaurant 😁
We discovered homemade dishes that were frankly delicious. Friendly, smiling staff with good advice. Go there! It's super good 😊

13/02/2026: A wonderful experience at L’Auberge de la Croix de Fer in Châtel-Guyon.
The setting is warm and inviting, the welcome from the owner and her team equally pleasant. The dishes are refined, succulent, and beautifully presented. Everything is delicious, prepared with care and passion. A place to discover or rediscover without hesitation!
11/02/2026: Perfect. It had been a while since we'd been back to this restaurant, and it was magical.
We had a wonderful meal, and the dishes were exquisitely refined.
I highly recommend it.

08/03/2026: Everything was excellent: the quality of the food and the service, except for the price, which was considered exorbitant by everyone at our table (6 people), especially considering the quantity of the veal rump, but also overall. It's a shame.

01/11/2025: The owner gave us a cold welcome, we were practically bothering him.... He should close on a public holiday if he's so bothered by working....anyway, I won't be going back.
28/10/2025: I really like this place; the owners are friendly, the food is simple and very good. The café/restaurant is clean, and the music is discreet and well-chosen. Furthermore, the terrace gets plenty of sunshine, and the view of the thermal park is lovely.
I recommend it without hesitation.

06/03/2026: A very warm welcome. The room and bathroom were spotless. There was even a mat for the dog in the room.
I highly recommend it.
11/01/2026: The room was old-fashioned and very cold despite the radiator, and the bathroom was straight out of the 70s/80s – it's just not acceptable anymore. Waiting 5 minutes for hot water in the bathtub... where's the environmental awareness? We won't be back.

30/01/2026: -€5500 and n 1h Good luck to the high roller who happens to be passing by. Low win rate. I'm an experienced high roller, I strongly advise against this casino. There's a casino not far away in Royat that's a great casino. Don't hesitate to travel further; they'd have a better chance of winning your money. 🤓

01/09/2024: For a Michelin-starred restaurant we were surprised to see that the restaurant had no air conditioning, sliding open result, heat and flies on the program. Added to this was the background music that was too loud. Interesting culinary discovery but the cook had a heavy hand with the spices, too bad. Accustomed to large tables, we came away with mixed feelings about your establishment.

On the other hand, one thing bothered me: the flies... open windows it was hot but there are mosquito nets which also prevent flies from entering.
In view of the quality of the restoration it is a shame to go hunting...

09/07/2024: Un des restaurateurs du Glacier nous a aidées mon amie et moi à rentrer en Suisse, tout cela généreusement et gratuitement. Nous l'en remercions vivement. Surtout nous constatons que l'accueil à Châtel Guyon est chaleureux et désintéressé. Nous reviendrons volontiers manger au Glacier l'année prochaine.

31/08/2024: Bravo for the resurrection of this magical place. We were lucky enough to enjoy some extremely tasty dishes filled with diverse flavors. Attentive and warm staff in a heavenly setting. From aperitif to dessert, flawless. Looking forward to next season
23/08/2024: Great time in an idyllic setting at the restaurant, the welcome and the service as well as the food were all perfect. We appreciated being able to greet the cooks at their windows as they left.
Looking forward to coming back next year when everything is finished and the team is complete, in any case we were delighted for this first.
Well done to the whole team!
