02/12/2024: Hemos ido tarde, a las 14.30 y nos han atendido y servido en seguida. Los platos son variados, elaborados y muy sabrosos. Hemos comido en la terraza, al Sol de la tarde, muy a gusto. El personal está muy atento a tus necesidades, es muy rápido y amable. Aunque estaba bastante lleno, no era un lugar muy ruidoso, los clientes eran educados y hablaban en voz baja. Es muy de agradecer cuando se juntan muchas personas en un lugar.
Por supuesto que lo recomiendo para comer, espero poder volver.

04/12/2025: Long ago, it was "Chez Geneviève," named after that fantastic lady who too often treated me to ice cream and made the best croque monsieur in Banyuls. Today, La Ganotte, though obviously operating in a different style (catering heavily to tourists), continues to offer a warm welcome and croque monsieur worthy of Geneviève.

And the view is perfect.

06/12/2025: After some research, we discovered the restaurant has been in liquidation since October 15, 2025 (judgment published on October 24). We received a gift voucher and have been unable to make a reservation for a month now; the website and email are no longer available.

29/11/2025: What a shame! We go there occasionally. We wanted to spend New Year's Eve there, but the room rates have tripled, and the menu and drinks are outrageously expensive, bordering on indecent. However, the staff and the quality of the rooms are impeccable.
I don't understand these abusive business practices!
14/11/2025: Charming little hotel just outside Banyuls sur Mer with beautiful views of the beach and ocean. Les Elmes is a wonderful place to settle and to hike from. Fantastic trails, beautiful weather and most of all, the staff is incredibly welcoming and accomodating. Finally, the gastro restaurant is amazing.

15/02/2026: Very disappointed. The dish was straight from the freezer. Cold and undercooked. Avoid the table at the back. The second table at the back is too close; it's impossible not to overhear their conversations. We do not recommend this restaurant. €54 is a rip-off. We went to eat elsewhere.

Accompagnement du plat, malheureusement froid
Remarques désobligeantes sur le désir d'emporter les plats (cependant copieux et très bons) de la part d'une serveuse...
L'amabilité de cette dernière est cependant à revoir rapidement
Merci tout de même à la réceptionniste remplaçante pour sa bonne humeur et sa jovialité
3 étoiles "seulement" dû au traitement reçu de la part de cette fameuse serveuse...
Très beau cadre, très bonne restauration

The dishes are great and the wines offered are just as great.
There are very few tables which makes this restaurant very intimate.
I adore :)
13/09/2024: Repas très bon malheureusement le bar est remplis de blattes , à fuir, une horreur , les blattes sont partout, je vous le déconseille tant que le patron n a pas résolu le problème 😔
