The service was impeccable, the food excellent.
The owner was incredibly attentive and very kind.
As for the price, it was very reasonable.
I highly recommend it.
29/05/2026: I went back, but unfortunately the summer heat prevented us from sitting on the terrace; we had lunch in a small, air-conditioned room. The summer meal was refreshing and generous, with impeccable service and a smile, and the owner was very attentive. I'll return on a cooler day.

She and her team greatly contributed to the success of our wedding reception. A huge thank you to them! Our guests, most of whom were discovering our vegan world for the first time, were blown away and absolutely loved it! From the appetizers to the desserts, including the vegan cheese platters, everything was as beautiful as it was delicious. A feast for the eyes as well as the stomach! Thank you and congratulations!

It's been a long time since I've made such a great discovery. Head cheese salad, mâchons (a type of Lyonnais snack), tablier de l'apricot (a type of Lyonnais bread), Georges beer... in short, food you never tire of.

10/05/2026: I love Chaud, it's just a classic and it's right down the street from me. The maxi panetto steak with white sauce and homemade Gruyère is incredible. I highly recommend it; you'll cry over the sandwich, eat Chaud!!

I wanted to report our very bad experience this evening at the Léon de Bruxelles restaurant in Vénissieux.
We arrived as a family at 9:40 PM. When we arrived, there was no one at the reception desk. A waitress, alone to manage the entire dining room, saw us and told us she was coming.
She then went into the kitchen. We then saw the cook look towards the dining room through the kitchen window and shout at her, looking us straight in the eye: "We're closed!"
The waitress explained that the kitchens closed at 10:00 PM. I replied that there was no problem since it was only 9:40 PM and the kitchen was therefore still open. She told me that by the time we were seated and our order was taken, it would be 10:00 PM.
Yet, we already knew exactly what we wanted. We had consulted the menu before entering and simply wanted to order mussels and fries for a family dinner. Our order could have been taken immediately.
I find this situation completely incomprehensible. Turning customers away twenty minutes before the official closing time of the kitchen, in the middle of summer, is already regrettable. But the way it was handled is even worse.
The lack of welcome, the tone used, and the complete absence of any willingness to find a solution are not worthy of a brand like Léon de Bruxelles.
It's truly a shame, as we had simply come to enjoy a pleasant family meal. After this experience, I will unfortunately not be returning to your establishment.
P.S.: Don't judge a book by its cover. A word to the wise…

31/05/2026: I eat at this snack bar very often, it's very, very good, I highly recommend it. The only thing is I saw a cockroach walking around in the snack bar.

I've never seen a pizza served on a stainless steel tray; it's so unsanitary, you'd think you were in India!
And on top of that, you pay a lot for what you get!
I'll never go back, even if it means starving.

They took the time to listen and served efficiently and cheerfully, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It's always a pleasure to encounter such dedicated employees. Well done to them for their hard work!
11/07/2026: Catastrophic. A 40-minute wait for an order that was supposed to have been ready 10 minutes ago… Unacceptable. Non-existent organization, slow service, and no respect for the customer. Honestly, avoid at all costs.

The waiters and waitresses are wonderful and full of good cheer, which they share 👍. A small suggestion: it would be great to have a nice cold non-alcoholic beer on tap 🍻
