20/06/2026: We had booked a table for two people for the evening of a concert. Upon arrival, the staff were disheartened because no table had been reserved. We found ourselves seated between two couples, and when we went to order a meal, no meal was served that day, just a charcuterie board on a small cardboard tray. If we had ordered bruschetta, which were only 10cm x 10cm, it would have cost us an additional 15 euros per person. They shouldn't take their customers for fools; 30 euros for two 10cm x 10cm bread rolls with barely half a slice of ham on them is outrageous.

28/07/2026: A small, family-run Italian restaurant with a lovely and very kind Italian couple. The dishes are extremely good and faithful to traditional Italian recipes; the lasagna is excellent. I highly recommend it. Because of the family atmosphere and the fact that there are only two of them, sit down and take your time to enjoy a relaxing moment. There's no need to rush.

The dishes are always excellent, generous, and high-quality, the service is pleasant, and the atmosphere is friendly. A real pleasure every time! A big plus: our dog is always welcome, which is really appreciated. It's nice to be able to share a good meal without having to leave her at home. An address we wholeheartedly recommend; we'll be back again and again! 🥩🐶🍽️

27/07/2026: /!\ This review relates to the Chalon dans la rue festival, so it may not be representative of the rest of the year. I went to this restaurant for a coffee on the terrace. I asked about the restrooms, and was told they were unavailable because they were broken. Finally, when I asked someone else inside, they told me they were fine. I wanted to order two more coffees to go (long coffees) and was told it would cost €11: €3.50 for three long coffees, and I was wrongly charged extra for milk that I hadn't ordered. After insisting, I was able to get rid of the two coffees to go. Aside from the feeling that I was being completely ripped off, the young waitresses hired for the occasion were friendly.

28/06/2026: Never, ever will I forget the first time I walked into this place. I ate what I now consider the best kebab in Chalon-sur-Saône, by far! First of all, the chef is one of the greatest kebab masters I've ever encountered in my life as a sandwich connoisseur. The way he arranges each ingredient in the bread is reminiscent of the best of Alfred de Musset... Moreover, he's incredibly generous; he doesn't hesitate to offer a small gift to the hungriest customers (myself included, of course). But that's not all! I haven't even mentioned the meal itself. For my part, I chose (and I still choose every time) the kebab sandwich, with all the raw vegetables and the white sauce. Here's my taste test report: - The meat: flavorful, perfectly cooked, absolutely flawless. - The raw vegetables: salad, tomato, onions. They're incredibly fresh, but that's not all... You can also enjoy pickled red cabbage among the raw vegetables, adding a new, tangy dimension to the sandwich. - The white sauce: simply exquisite. It's homemade and features sprigs of dill, making it one of the most legendary sauces in Chalon-sur-Saône. Finally, the arrangement of each ingredient is meticulously planned to make every bite a PERFECT one, all for a very reasonable price (€8). As you can see, NewWannaFood is a must-try in Chalon, a place you absolutely have to visit at least once in your life.

26/06/2026: I went in the day before and paid €16.50 for two set menus. The next day I went back. And the owner had the nerve to ask me for the missing money! It's not my fault, it's his! I'm a shopkeeper, and when it's you who makes a mistake at the till, it's not the customer's responsibility to pay. Avoid this place!

05/07/2026: EDIT: To answer the response I received: The filling of the ravioli is vegan, but not the pasta. So definitely avoid this place. Hello, "Yes, the ravioli are vegan," the waiter told us. And then we found out after eating them that they weren't. Well... vegan friends, stay away!

11/06/2026: It's all well and good sending me ads via email, but Del'Arte Chalon-sur-Saône is closed; we've been turned away twice. We were staying in Seine-et-Marne, and Del'Arte Fontainebleau is temporarily closed!

20/05/2026: Both a bar and a restaurant, this is a friendly place where the food is delicious, varied, and changes very frequently. Plus, they offer specialties, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it. Don't forget to make a reservation!

05/06/2026: June 1st, 2026: This is the only place in Chalon where the daily special is consistently delicious: Thank you to the talented chef! It's a welcoming place that keeps you coming back: a great spot for a peaceful and particularly pleasant lunch. In fact, after trying many restaurants in Chalon, my friend Jacqueline and I finally settled on Paolo. We go twice a week and for several months now, we've been enjoying the quality and variety of the menu, as well as the speed and professionalism of the service: the daily special/dessert menu is excellent value for money at €14.90. The atmosphere is serene, and the service is friendly and welcoming. Simply the best! Kudos to the truly generous owners, who go the extra mile to please their customers. Thank you, Pascal and Sylvain, and keep up the good work in 2022 ;-).

16/04/2026: This is the best Italian restaurant in Chalon. Pizzas are between €12 and €14, which is very reasonable considering the quality of the ingredients. As for other dishes, there's a wide selection available, always of excellent quality, of course. Go without hesitation.

18/01/2026: I left with some doubt about the amount of my bill, but I didn't ask to see the receipt, so if the restaurant owner made a mistake in his favor, it may be due to my negligence.

19/07/2026: Very disappointed. I went there with my family. The prices displayed prominently to attract customers are not the same as the prices on their menu. You have to ask for salt and pepper, and the sauces are dispensed in small amounts... And the salad dressing was really mediocre. The bill is relatively expensive for four main courses and two children's steaks: €117. No dessert, no starter, just two cans of Sprite, one can of Oasis, a glass of rosé, and a €25 draft beer served in a plastic cup. 😤 Otherwise, the staff seems friendly.

20/06/2026: We stumbled upon this delightful restaurant by chance. The concept of the unique menu is fantastic. The hosts are incredibly attentive to their guests. It felt like being cooked for by good friends. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. We were disappointed that it was closed on our second day. We will definitely plan another visit. Highly recommended!
