08/04/2024: I knew it was going to be expensive, but the Tarte Myrtille was sub standard. The pastry (pate sucree) was over baked and more likely to be standard short crust. The berries had next to no flavour and seemed suspiciously like they weren't Myrtille Sauvage more the cultivated variety.Having said that they are surprisingly efficient at feeding and watering the quantities of clients that can be accommodated within and outside.

29/08/2024: Very disappointed! To begin with, the servers are very friendly and competent. The food is good and the atmosphere is friendly. However, I am extremely disappointed by the quantity given the crazy prices, certainly we are in a big resort, well in the summer there is no one and the prices remain very high! I have never been so hungry after leaving a restaurant and honestly it ruined the moment, very unfortunate

21/08/2024: Honestly, we would have given it 2 stars if the young servers weren't there. We serve bread with mold. The waiters apologized I don't know how many times and were embarrassed but not once did the owner come to say sorry. No gesture either. We can clearly see that we are just tourists who have left so many others, it’s a shame..

03/04/2024: Very friendly and warm welcome, but our room was a little dated and the lighting and sockets are not really up to standard. Another subject, the brasserie l'Authentique where we dined with again very friendly service, served us a Savoyard fondue - more expensive than anywhere else - which must undoubtedly have been a sachet fondue from the mass market because, being Savoyard, I know how to recognize a real fondue from a ready-made one; we had the opportunity to taste another one near the hotel which had nothing to do - fortunately - with that of l'Authentique. To accompany it, we took a Chignin, unfortunately an uninteresting cooperative wine but charged €41 when two restaurants in Méribel and Mottaret offered us a Chignin from André Quénard which was an aromatic marvel at a price of €27 and €31. I imagine that most foreigners don't notice anything but I find that it harms the image of MontVallon. That being said, I would not hesitate to return to the hotel which is really very pleasant and so well located. Thank you to the whole team for their welcome and see you soon I hope. 31/03/2024: Ideally located for ski in / ski out. Staff are incredibly nice and helpful. Rooms could use an upgrade (bathrooms and lighting).

29/05/2024: +ve Amazing place the music, dancing and atmosphere is super. -ve We were in the vip area, and we paid a lot. However, unnecessary cheating in our bill, they add 100 euro charge for the power bank that they put on the table and we didn't ask for, it was a shame, I was there many times this is the 1st time, I was scamed.

14/05/2024: Probably the most disrespectful experience of my life. Showed up on 3/31/2024 and were met with a horrible experience, including: 1. Having the staff stand behind the bar and almost refuse to serve us, despite being open 2. Pretending to not speak English (you are a bartender at Folie Douce…) 3. Refusing to get the shot ski when requested because it is “too far away” 4. Cheering us out of the establishment when we left Made a lot to effort to make it to the bar and was disgusted with the treatment. What a joke. UPDATE: Email to their team was ignored entirely, took no responsability for the poor treatment of me and my friends.

18/09/2024: I went to Clos Bernard this week with a few friends. There were 6 of us having the fondue. The waiter first brought two stoves. Then he brought a frying pan. The second stove being empty so far. After several minutes of waiting, we wondered if this second stove was there for decorative purposes or to warm our feet. So we asked a waiter if a pan was missing given the uselessness of the second one and the ridiculous amount of cheese in the only one we had for 6. His response was very clear “no there is no mistake, you are at Clos Bernard”. This sentence sounded like a foghorn hitting me right in the eardrum. After insisting on the ridiculous quantity of cheese to two waiters, as well as the manager, we managed to find a use for the second stove (they deigned to serve us a pan for our second stove which was empty until now, but a dose for two, what kindness…). After endless minutes of complaining, we were finally able to start eating properly. A simple fondue pan at Le Clos Bernard will cost you €210 (35/pers) for 300g of cheese (around €700 per kilo). Maybe they hope to whet your appetite with the price. After this more disastrous and stressful experience, no action on their part. Nothing. Expect to leave Clos Bernard with a light stomach and wallet.

21/03/2024: I had lunch at the self service section and the food was not great. I ordered the beef burger. The buns were soggy already. When I took a bite there was so much oil and water dripping everywhere. The burger tasted terrible. The fries were ok though. The view is great from the terrace outside. But sadly that doesn't make up for the absolutely terrible food.

21/03/2024: Booked the actual restaurant today only to turn up and the elderly lady knew nothing about it. From the beginning she was negative at our group and unhappy she had to serve 14 people. By insisting we look at menu whilst we waited for our friends she gave the distinct impression to us all we couldnt afford it. She served us wine whilst we waited for our friends who turned up on the reservation time only to make a fuss about how many of us there was! We rnded up habing to usecthe tske away restaurant Our ski school guide informed us this happened to her a few years ago. AVOID at all costs. The elderly lady gave the distinct impression she really only wanted to serve French people even though people in our party spoke fluent French....and when two parties of French people turned up they had no problem being served quickly. Shocking service!!!

07/04/2024: A little late...great place, exceptional panorama! Great atmosphere! And above all a BIG THANK YOU to Agathe! For his smile, availability, dedication, kindness and professionalism! She knew how to make us want to come back every day of the week and we hope to see her again next year! *****

04/04/2024: Waitress was bolshy. Nobody was very attentive. Waitress left after only letting us order 2 starters, she couldn’t understand that we wanted to order main courses as well! Had to find someone else to help.

24/08/2024: Hello, place that we know well, unmissable in the evening or in case of rain, at the end of the afternoon (opens at 4 p.m.) 8 tracks, billiards arcade games, cool atmosphere, snacy and drinks. I recommend++ to have a good time.

01/08/2024: Très cher pour ce qui est dans l'assiette. Les kirs n'étaient pas bons et nous ne sommes pas sûrs du tout d'avoir mangé le cochon annoncé. Le pain était par contre délicieux et les serveurs très agréables.

23/08/2024: The best Burger of my life!, with lots of flavors, soft bread, and fries, I don't usually eat a lot! , there I finished my plate!, where it stings is when the prices of the drinks! 🙄!

23/08/2024: I ate the barn burger. It was good and plentiful, I recommend.
