23/03/2024: Probably best to order a take away from here instead of eating in. Great pizza, highly recommend them but a basic level of service is something to be desired. Quite rude as though it is an inconvenience to have customers, we observed this with other tables as well. Be prepared.

22/03/2024: A Dr. Oetker pizza would have done the trick given the quality of the dough, the lack of toppings and their appearance.

21/02/2024: Excessive prices... +4 euros on certain dishes in 1 year, that's more than the inflation that has gone through... Ridiculous size of steak in the burger, which by the way is not great... Ditto for the fondue, very/too liquid... Difficult to find cheese among the fat in the fondue pot... Not to mention the stomach aches throughout the night... Although the waitresses are friendly, service shipped in less than an hour...

01/04/2024: We ate well but nothing more. Grilled meat and that’s it… Overpriced of course. As for the service: lousy, not a smile, if you ask for something you get turned away. Personally, I won't come back again. This restaurant is always full even without smiling and very expensive for what it is… Plus the climb is terrible to reach the restaurant.

03/04/2024: Very friendly and warm welcome, but our room was a little dated and the lighting and sockets are not really up to standard. Another subject, the brasserie l'Authentique where we dined with again very friendly service, served us a Savoyard fondue - more expensive than anywhere else - which must undoubtedly have been a sachet fondue from the mass market because, being Savoyard, I know how to recognize a real fondue from a ready-made one; we had the opportunity to taste another one near the hotel which had nothing to do - fortunately - with that of l'Authentique. To accompany it, we took a Chignin, unfortunately an uninteresting cooperative wine but charged €41 when two restaurants in Méribel and Mottaret offered us a Chignin from André Quénard which was an aromatic marvel at a price of €27 and €31. I imagine that most foreigners don't notice anything but I find that it harms the image of MontVallon. That being said, I would not hesitate to return to the hotel which is really very pleasant and so well located. Thank you to the whole team for their welcome and see you soon I hope. 31/03/2024: Ideally located for ski in / ski out. Staff are incredibly nice and helpful. Rooms could use an upgrade (bathrooms and lighting).

07/03/2024: Bar side: good beer, and friendly bartenders. As for catering: original dishes, quality products, quite a few vegetarian options, a delight. A big thank you for Jessica’s welcome, sense of service and efficiency!

21/03/2024: Raclette and fondue ordered during our stay, we enjoyed ourselves! Quality products and wide choice, don't hesitate to stop by, lots of good products to extend your stay in the mountains after returning from vacation...

23/02/2024: We enjoyed a Savoyard fondue prepared in the store with the bottle of Savoy wine which goes well with the equipment. The written instructions allowed for total success and very good tasting.

04/04/2024: Waitress was bolshy. Nobody was very attentive. Waitress left after only letting us order 2 starters, she couldn’t understand that we wanted to order main courses as well! Had to find someone else to help.

03/04/2024: Nice people. Really cozy with cool decorations. Pasta was a little bit cold, but still really good. There was enough bread, cheese, sauce.

14/03/2024: Charging €10 cover charge because you share a pizza and a salad is just bonkers. Nothing to indicate this on the menu. Restaurant wasn’t busy at 21.30. Basically paid £50 for 1 pizza, a tasteless green salad we didn’t want and 2 drinks. It used to be a great restaurant but not anymore. Avoid!

03/03/2024: A magnificent restaurant with a good atmosphere but the value for money is not there! It’s a shame, it’s way too expensive for what it is. 2 and a half years ago we had a great time but now it's not up to our expectations! We won't come back there again!

For medical reasons I will not be able to come from March 28-31.03, but the hotel refuses to make a refund, although before booking a month citing the policy. Except that usually when there are medical reasons, even airlines refund, but not this hotel. So I'm ready to sell my reservation. I'm sure it's cheaper than making a new one. 04/03/2024: I couldn't believe how snobby some of these reviews were. "Shampoo at the lowest quality" 🤣 you aren't going to a hotel for their shampoo. I couldn't rate this place highly enough. Gregory the host at reception was so accommodating to us. I fell sick during my stay, they helped source doctors, pharmacies and even let us stay in the room for a later checkout as our Chalet check in wasn't ready till later in the day to help recover. Gregory was an absolute star, helped with all our bags in and out, room service was top notch and the extra help with our medical situation. 10/10 will be visiting again and would recommend it to anyone.

08/03/2024: The best mountain restaurant in the 3 valleys. Menus at a completely affordable and extremely good price! Restaurant in an idyllic setting with extremely fast service. In addition, the waiter Julien is extremely cool and will give you all the good tips for the slopes! I highly recommend !
