04/04/2024: Fondue tastes great and the sherpa server is super friendly! The nautical theme and decor is very weird in my opinion, but also funny. The price of beer is just too ridiculous, almost 12€ for a pint is extreme even by Val Thorens standards. Hot chocolate mediocre.

03/04/2024: Stayed in a self catering apartment, floor minus 4, was facing the road. Lots of car noise early in the morning was a drag. The apartment itself was as expected with decent quality furnishings.. there are many exterior faces of this property so if you're staying ask for an apartment that's not facing the road if possible. The ski locker room is on floor minus 1, the locking mechanism uses the room car key which is handy. There's insufficient space to sit down at busy times in the room tho. Piste access is very easy, in and out. Staff seemed to be kind of half detached from their job, the masseur chap was friendly and helpful, the receptionist and bar staff less so, but to be fair it was the end of the season. The Spa and pool are detached from each other with reception in the middle, to go from pool to spa you have to waddle through reception, which was oddly populated by folks wearing spa robes having a pint.. maybe it's a new thing thats catching on.. Don't get me wrong it's a fair place it's just let down by the location, not the slo in/out, but instead access to the center of VT itself which is either a slippy slope walk or walk up the main road which can get busy. Next time to VT will be staying closer to the center, which also has it's drawbacks!

22/03/2024: We tried this establishment for an aperitif, a snack and also a dinner! Quality products, more than generous proportions, top service (special mention for Thomas😉 our server). Everything is there to have a good time. PS: you can add the Virgin blueberry mojito to the menu (tested and approved). I highly recommend this place.

22/03/2024: Very nice gastronomic address. High-level meals with quality products. A faultless one. The very professional service is to be highlighted as much as the rest! The icing on the cake: the digestive dessert “Le Crapok”. A most refreshing sorbet drizzled with a hint of gènepi. To take!

16/03/2024: Really nice little snack! We've been driving past it for years without ever stopping, what a shame! This afternoon I wanted an American before getting back on my train and it was done! My mother and I were pleasantly surprised and without hesitation we will come back next year. The bread, meat and vegetables are fresh. Everything is super clean and The staff is really nice Only downside is the price of drinks... See you soon.

26/04/2024: We had a super tasty meal, we were a group of 8 people and the food arrived quickly. The food was tasty and the staff friendly. The restaurant is small and also cozy. Prices for the food were fine for Val Thorens.

15/04/2024: We have been to johns a few times and love it every time! The burgers are mega and are just what you expect from an American burger restaurant. Decent prices and really good service.

04/04/2024: Played loud dubstep late into the evening when surrounded by hotels (assume private event or just the staff on a jolly as the place shuts at normal time).

18/04/2024: Decoration redone for the Bar part since 2021 (less cocoon and fun). Clientele too international and poorly educated. Rooms identical to 2021 but very good in practical comfort and space. Restaurant service lacking flexibility. Ski Set inside and very professional staff, very flexible and adaptable to the situations of each skier unlike restaurants. Comfortable room but bathroom smelling musty because the hotel chose pretty floor tiles that retain humidity. Ideal location. Impeccable reception service and concierge. The hotel has its own parking lot. Not cheap (Val Thorens!) but very practical.

15/04/2024: This is an amazing hotel. Excellent location. Rooms are good but not cleaned properly. You have to ask for things like water, tea bags, dusty. We were a big group of vegans and vegetarians. At first reading the reviews we were disappointed to book the hotel as they were not good for restaurants. We spoke to the managers for both the restuarant and they went out of their way to make us delicious vegan food. We had small kids and they took care of their dietary requirements. Staff are excellent with amazing service. We are planning to go back next year.

22/03/2024: Check your reservation carefully, we had reserved for 9:30 p.m. and when we arrived, we were bluntly told that our table was scheduled for 7:00 p.m. We had left our phone behind. We were turned away.

21/03/2024: Disappointed. The quantity is not there for the price, aperitif board 10 euros for 5 slices of sausage and pickles.. Then a rump steak for 32 euros, very small for the price. An example among many others, very small lamb steak also with little garnish. The unprofessional service... A lot of waiting, forgetting a glass of wine with the meat after a long wait we had to go and ask for it. Also, unfriendly and expeditious waitress. We will not come back.
