05/02/2026: What a warm welcome and what a lovely meal! This place is friendly and welcoming. The manager is lovely and attentive, and the meal is generous, very affordable, and delicious. All made with local products... from Haute-Savoie.
I'll definitely be back! ☺️

18/04/2026: A truly medieval atmosphere awaits at this fantastic family meal in a beautiful, spacious vaulted cellar. We quickly got into the spirit of things as soon as we donned the provided costumes. We chatted with our table neighbors, called out to the waiter without restraint (recommended by the staff for total immersion!), and found ourselves enjoying the delightfully childlike pleasure of eating with our fingers and wiping our mouths on the tablecloth! In short, we forgot the traditional codes of etiquette imposed by French decorum and happily had a great time. The entertainment was top-notch and impressed us with the undeniable talent of the street performers, some of whom had circus training. The staff was pleasant, and contrary to what I had expected from other themed restaurants I'd tried, the food was very good: lentil soup, excellent hot pâté en croûte, chicken with heritage vegetables, a slice of Brie, and poached pear (wine and hippocras were unlimited). In short, three hours of fun, high-quality entertainment with humor, and simple but truly delicious food. All this at a very reasonable price. We will definitely be back with several of our friends.
13/04/2026: Truly, a wonderful evening in an ancient vaulted space, a large 12th-century hall with a convivial atmosphere; around us, entertainers full of humor: actors, musicians, circus performers, jugglers, etc. An authentic and funny show in a medieval setting.
The menu: with medieval titles, very tasty. Attentive and top-notch service.

08/04/2026: We celebrated our daughter's baptism on Easter Sunday.
Everything was perfect. The staff were incredibly attentive, the food was excellent, the room was magnificent and decorated for Easter, the tables were beautiful—we were delighted. Superb organization. It was magical.
Nathalie is fantastic. The staff are also very friendly.

15/03/2026: A good restaurant in Provins. We really enjoyed the starters but were a little disappointed by the main courses, which lacked a bit of flavor. €25 for the starter and main course, a standard price found in several restaurants in Provins. The service was adequate.

09/04/2026: We came for lunch on the terrace of Le Chatel. The waitress who greeted us was rather unfriendly when taking our order. The set lunch menu (€23.90) was very good. However, the waitress came to ask us to pay while I was finishing my coffee. Furthermore, when it came time to pay, I asked her to pay for a set menu plus a coffee. She didn't know the price of the set menu and therefore asked me to calculate the bill myself… I understand that she doesn't work there every day, but asking a customer to calculate their bill isn't very courteous.
06/04/2026: We had a wonderful time with our family on the sunny terrace. The welcome was very pleasant, and the food was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant in the heart of the village. 💯

30/12/2025: La Cure d'Air is a lovely, relaxed place for a simple and satisfying meal in Provins. It feels warm and local, and the welcome makes you comfortable right away. The food is straightforward and comforting, with generous portions and a real homemade vibe.
Service was friendly and efficient, and the prices felt fair for what you get. It is an easy spot to recommend after a day of walking around the medieval town.
27/10/2025: Every time I'm in Provins for work, I stop by La Cure d'Air for their sirloin steak with brie sauce.
A real treat!
And what's more, the restaurant offers reasonably priced menus.

22/02/2026: I called 10 days ago to book a couples massage for February 23rd. I was supposed to receive a call back to confirm the time. Having heard nothing, I called several times and was assured there was no problem and that I would be contacted again. Today, the day before the scheduled appointment, I was informed that it has been fully booked for two weeks and that the only available date is March 27th… even though we had made arrangements for February 23rd. I am very disappointed by the lack of follow-up and communication. No compensation has been offered despite the inconvenience. This is regrettable, especially when you make arrangements in advance for a special occasion.

20/02/2026: Despite the nice service and cute atmosphere, the food unfortunately is unacceptable. The steak I was served had an off taste and was essentially inedible for me. The cheese cubes had a strange plastic-like flavor, and the tomato slices were so hard that we could barely bite into them.
I informed the staff at the time. They did offer to replace the steak, but the issue seemed to be the quality of the meat itself, so I declined and finished only what was edible to avoid unnecessary food waste. In addition, a portion of fries we ordered was initially included on the bill despite not being served, which we asked to have removed.
The service team was polite, but the overall food quality and consistency were disappointing, and they refused to discount for the uneaten steak.
I will definitely be checking reviews more carefully in the future.
20/02/2026: My partner and I had the pleasure of dining there for Valentine's Day, and we had an absolutely perfect time ✨
The atmosphere was warm and inviting. A huge thank you to the waitress, who was radiant and incredibly kind. She offered excellent recommendations throughout the meal. Special mention for the champagne with rose syrup… simply incredible!
The crepes were delicious and generously portioned.
We will definitely be back.
