22/08/2024: I had the opportunity to come to this restaurant a few weeks ago: very warm welcome and good extra brick cuisine and very good copious couscous and perfect meat. So I decided to come back and yesterday the curtain closed for the holidays, which is understandable...but so much better if the hours and days of closure for holidays were indicated on Google....

08/08/2024: Retirement of a colleague and friend whom we celebrated in this restaurant, it was a memorable evening! The food, the atmosphere, the kindness of the owner... We were able to privatize the basement of the restaurant for the occasion, a magnificent cellar and ideal for the occasion!

03/10/2024: Very dark restaurant room, we could barely distinguish our dishes. A man was helped by his wife to return to his place. The buffet was not at all busy, there was barely 1/3 of what was advertised on the app. The supposedly royal couscous was not. The decor that could be seen through the extra dim light was pretty. The only oriental-themed restaurant couldn't hear the road.

19/09/2024: Pleasant setting and attentive and discreet service. I have never been disappointed: light semolina in large quantities, an excellent broth with lots of vegetables (real nice pieces), harissa and peas on the side and a very wide choice of meats (excellent in fact, whether it be chicken, merguez, lamb and meatballs). I recommend it and can't wait to return.

31/07/2024: Après une grand envie de couscous, nous avons décidé d’aller se remplir la panse d’un bon couscous. Première déception : le prix. 25€ pour un couscous c’est coûteux même si l’on est dans le 17eme !!! Le dessert avait beau être sucré, l’addition quant à elle était salée ! Ce n’est écrit nul part que le restaurant ne prend pas la carte ticket resto et évidemment on nous l’annonce à la fin du repas !

28/07/2024: Definitely the best Tunisian restaurant. Delicious food, service like at home. Very generous quantity. You can order your dish (mloukhiya for me) a few days in advance and they will be happy to prepare it for you. Mint tea offered and tasty. Thank you Si Moncef and all his family.

09/12/2023: Good morning. I ordered royal couscous for two people last night. I have never eaten such a bland dish and the meat was horrible, very fatty with lots of bones for the monton the merguez looked like it had been cooked in water and not cooked. The vegetables cut into 6cm wide very roughly and I asked for a cake they gave me 2 others which was not what I had asked for and they were totally rancid inedible..never again..or just to get my money back..

It doesn't cost that much a pot to put the sauce in and not directly on the fries (besides the Algerian sauce is disgusting) The pancake is not even closed, there is meat sticking out of the cellophane, there is really no care Please stop cooking, you are barbarians

01/12/2023: Only in paris for the weekend but I saw this gem next door and was super excited to visit as I go to tunisia a lot and love their street food. I don't speak French very well so I asked if anyone spoke English and got sent to the table who I can only assume was the owner. As I attempted to ask him about the food I was rudely interrupted by a woman sat at the table with him. Another woman on the table said sorry so I continued and order some food. I was planning to eat it inside as a table freed up but I could hear that woman talking rude things behind my back about me in French (i understand a lot I just don't speak well). I didn't say anything as she was drinking alcohol but she made me feel like I shouldn't be there at all. I understand people complaining about hygiene but if anyone has ever been to tunisia you would know that not using gloves or even smoking indoors is normal and that didn't bother me at all. Now getting abuse for coming in to buy food is something I can't tolerate. Kudos to 2 elderly men working there who were trying to make me feel better and speak to me as well as they could. Needless to say I took my food takeaway and left the place heartbroken because I didn't expect to be abused in a place I wanted to visit so badly. I guess tunisians are only welcoming when in tunisia.

21/11/2024: A small neighborhood restaurant not to be missed in the La district. Butte aux Cailles. The couscous is invigorating and delicious, we finish with a mint tea flavored with it. Orange blossom
