21/08/2026: After a 40-minute wait, I ordered a plate of grilled vegetables for €15. The dish bore absolutely no resemblance to the description: four tiny slices of eggplant, four slices of zucchini swimming in oil and burnt, and three small, blackened, and extremely oily peppers. The whole thing was completely inedible and unappetizing (a dark green color verging on black!). When I politely pointed out to the waiter that the vegetables were fried and burnt, not grilled, he became irritated, telling me I was the only one complaining, before storming off with the plate. As they left with the dish, the waiter and the owner made insulting, rude, and aggressive remarks toward our family, which were audible from our table. The owner then intervened directly, in an aggressive and overly familiar manner (using the informal "tu"), refusing to apologize and accusing me of not knowing anything, while finally admitting himself that the vegetables weren't grilled. At the same time, a restaurant with plenty of space on a Saturday night in the middle of August in this region should have been a red flag. A complete lack of professionalism, respect, and business sense. Avoid at all costs.

17/08/2026: Spaghetti with clams was very good, spaghetti with seafood was good but a bit salty. The children's menu needs reconsidering, and the nuggets weren't the best! Tables on the street were a bit busy but acceptable. Overall, a good option!

04/08/2026: I wanted to find a nice hole in the wall, family ran restaurant where locals eat and this checked all of the boxes. Everyone that entered were treated like family and friends. The food portions were large. We ordered the combo and it was a sandwich, pasta salad and a dessert. Highly recommend going here for lunch, but bring an appetite!

26/07/2026: We were strolling down the avenue with friends when we met the wonderful Chiraz at the entrance of the restaurant. She was so warm and welcoming that she made us want to go in for dinner! Out of curiosity, we walked the entire length of the avenue to see the other restaurants, but in the end, we came to La Bodega just for you, Chiraz! Thank you for your kindness; we had a fantastic time :) And on top of that, the best mussels I've had in the south!!!

06/08/2026: I think it's one of the best restaurants in the center of the old town. We ate very well. For my part, the grilled octopus tentacles with parsley sauce were delicious.

25/08/2026: Over the past year, the restaurant's quality has unfortunately declined. The portion size for takeout pasta is ridiculously small for the price, whereas last year (for the same price) the portion was very generous. The pizzas were also less topped and not as good as usual. Having come several times every summer, this was the only time we went during our vacation.

Lunch included a presentation of the daily specials, which you choose before eating, as well as desserts, all served on a tray with explanations of each item. The atmosphere is calm, set back from the street, with a sheltered outdoor terrace. The portions were generous, with vegetarian options available. Excellent value for money for Antibes. The quality of the ingredients was high. I'll definitely be back, or make a visit if you're in the center of Antibes.

31/08/2026: I asked for a gluten-free dish, and the lady told me it was fine. The dish arrived with four large pieces of bread on it (also contaminating the side dish); I pointed this out and was told, "Well, don't eat it." I was with five friends; I'm not making anything up, and if I didn't ask to change the dish anyway, it's because, obviously, the restaurant should be the one to do so spontaneously and apologetically. I guess I don't need to say anything else; something like this has never happened before.
