25/05/2026: The Sunday lunch menu was delicious. The service was impeccable, the wine selection varied, and the setting simply magnificent—a real change of scenery, you wouldn't think you were in Strasbourg.

18/06/2026: Second visit to Bagelstein this Saturday, July 26th, and still that strange feeling… like I'd landed in a 90s American sitcom, somewhere between Central Perk and a vintage New York deli.
The decor is a gem of nostalgia: walls covered in quirky photos, humorous signs, newspaper clippings, and retro-style air conditioning that makes you feel like it's about to crack a joke or offer you an old-fashioned coffee. It's like traveling back in time without leaving Strasbourg.
The staff is smiling and welcoming. In short, not robots, which is refreshing. There were three of us, and we ordered three meal deals with drinks and sides.
The bagels offer a wide selection of breads (whole wheat, plain, onion & sweet pepper, sesame toast… and probably others I missed while drooling over the counter). You can create your own bagel like an inspired artist… or choose a pre-made recipe like a tired tourist.
On the dessert and drink front, there's cheesecake, muffins, cakes, cookies… plenty to choose from, and a good selection of drinks too (if you're looking for something other than depressing plain water).
They say it's all homemade, and it certainly tastes good, so we're inclined to believe them. Special mention goes to the overall atmosphere, which is really well done and makes you want to linger a bit (and take pictures of everything).
I haven't tried their mac & cheese yet, but it's on my top to-do list, right after "pay my taxes" and "become a better person."
In short, a great place to eat quickly, well, and with a smile… all while getting a little taste of America (without the guns or the dollar bills).

06/03/2026: Seriously, there's always a problem! It's impossible to get through to them on the phone; they just hang up automatically. I've called at least 10 times.
I ordered online, and there's always something missing. It's completely unacceptable, and they refuse to give a refund. It's so frustrating!
You just need to read the order carefully; it's pretty simple, isn't it?
Go to another McDonald's if you want to receive and see your entire order.
06/03/2026: Don't go there! He always forgets something, the order is cold, and there's a lack of hygiene.

13/07/2026: After waiting at least an hour for our two pizzas, knowing that tables that arrived after us were served, and after asking for an explanation, we were told there had been a problem with our order but that we were now being given priority—a priority that lasted another 15 minutes—our pizzas arrived barely cooked, cold, and inedible. We decided to leave.
11/07/2026: really enjoyed sitting on the terrace, the pizza was really good and the staff was joyous!

04/08/2026: You can't pay at kiosk, and when I wen't to pay, I waited 10min, no one looked at me, no one came to say they are busy or something. With me there was at least 7 more people who was waiting to pay. So I wem't eat at another place.
03/08/2026: Extremely disappointed. Do not come here. The place is extremely dirty and even with a small order you have to wait 20 minutes for them to take your order if you’re paying by cash ( even when it’s not busy at all! ), and another 20-30 minutes for them to actually give you the food. You need a code to use the bathroom and it is EXTREMELY dirty with a horrible smell. The chairs and the tables are very dirty as well. Such a shame that the McDonald’s is bad because it is in a good location. Not recommended.

14/05/2026: Our order took forever to arrive... A Royal Deluxe and a cold cheeseburger. An employee in a shirt, who I assumed was a manager, brought our order but then took it back because we weren't happy to pay for cold food served at the table. He went to reheat them... instead of giving us more. He forgot about them and didn't bring them back... so we had to go ask for them again at the counter... everyone had finished eating when my husband was just starting on his burgers... very disappointing
13/05/2026: My daughter was eating her fries, and what do we find at the bottom of the container? A lid from a cream sauce stuck to the bottom.
I went to a member of staff and asked if they cleaned the dishes, showing them the bottom and telling them it was a bit of a hygiene issue.
She looked at me and said, "There's nothing I can do, it's the dishwasher, it happens."

24/07/2026: Thank you to the waiters who took our order. However, regarding the gentleman with the tied-back hair and piercings, it's clear he's fed up with working here, judging by his lack of respect, his insolent look, and his utter lack of manners! Please review the staff!
15/07/2026: Quite disappointed with the service. The salesperson who took our order, "ayamane" on their badge, spoke to us rather curtly, saying, "Hurry up, there are other people waiting," even though no one was behind us... what a shame.

23/07/2026: Very disappointed with the McDonald's in Hoenheim. This isn't the first time my ice cream was barely filled. When I pointed it out, I was told it was "the protocol" and they wouldn't add any more. Strangely, at other McDonald's, the ice cream is served much better. When a customer pays for something, they expect to receive it as described and to be listened to if they have any concerns. It's a shame, because this lack of consideration gives the restaurant a bad image. I hope management will take customer feedback into account to improve the service.

The establishment is well laid out, clean, with a magnificent terrace and exceptional service. Bravo and thank you!
12/07/2026: A very original menu presentation in the form of a newspaper. It featured Haguenau and the history of the restaurant and its homemade dishes.
It was a wonderful discovery.
