BUT, I ordered extra fries (which were charged), and I don't know where they are!
No bread was delivered with my merguez platter!! Unheard of.
The amount of salad and fries was clearly disappointing for the price. They were even mixed together, resulting in soggy, limp fries.
In short, disappointed!
The merguez sausages were good...
18/04/2026: Absolutely delicious. The best in the area and cheaper than Doy Doy. Parking nearby, close to the stadium. The €11 set menu is incredible.

12/06/2026: I particularly appreciated the option of keeping the different courses a secret. It's quite an unusual experience, being pleasantly surprised from beginning to end of the meal. I share the opinions that wonder why the restaurant doesn't have two stars, given the culinary research using seasonal products and the incomparable quality of the beautifully presented dishes. And that bread! Incredible, it's worth the trip alone. Top-notch service and a relaxing atmosphere on the ground floor. Perhaps they could simply add a chocolate entree at the end, and it would be perfect. I'm delighted; it was truly a great success.
19/04/2026: My wife and I were seated at the counter on the top floor of the restaurant, facing the kitchens.
A flawless gastronomic experience. A very well-balanced menu, and a level of cuisine that, in our opinion, deserves two stars.
We are ready to return to Strasbourg just to dine at this excellent establishment again.

12/06/2026: The decor is stylish and understated. The large-format painting in the dining room, depicting a cityscape, adds a vibrant touch. The tableware, glasses, and cutlery are of exceptional quality and complement the classic ambiance of the dining room.
The service is outstanding. We were served in German with a friendly demeanor, and the staff also spoke English in addition to French. The menu is clearly laid out and was explained in an easy-to-understand manner, complete with suggestions. Towels were provided for cleaning our hands, dropped napkins were replaced, and place settings were cleared and set simultaneously. All of this was done so discreetly, simultaneously for both guests, and always at just the right moment, that we felt constantly cared for and never disturbed.
The wine pairings for the carte-sur-table menu offered a diverse range of flavors and were perfectly matched to the dishes. The sommelier truly knows his craft!
The eight dishes themselves were sophisticated, appropriately portioned, and harmoniously seasoned. At the same time, they showcased a wide array of ingredients and techniques, providing a constant and pleasant surprise. Highlights included the oyster stuffed with bacon and the vanilla cream served in a sugar sphere.
At the beginning and end of the meal, three chocolates were served alongside an amuse-bouche, perfectly complementing the menu.
All in all, the visit was a must!

13/06/2026: The menu featured typical Spanish dishes, but the food was nothing like Spanish cuisine. The potato omelet seemed pre-made, and the fried calamari was nothing like it. The closest thing was the patatas bravas. But they didn't come with brava sauce; instead, they had aioli and some other strange sauce.
13/06/2026: Very nice experience, it was the first time i try this restaurant, food was amazing, and the ambiance was even greater, the brought a band and we were able to enjoy the full experience, defenitley on the list for another try :)

24/04/2026: The staff were incredibly welcoming, full of helpful advice and great recommendations. The location is ideal for visiting the center of Strasbourg. The room and bathroom were clean and functional. Thank you again for the stay and the warm welcome.
15/02/2026: The room was quite small and lacked any particular charm, with closet doors that only opened partially. Soundproofing was inadequate: on weekends, noise from nightlife could be disruptive (waking up around 5 a.m.). On the plus side, the bedding was very good quality.
The lack of a physical reception made the experience feel somewhat cold and impersonal: instructions were sent by email and keys had to be collected at the entrance. However, the central location was a real advantage, allowing quick access to amenities. The price-quality ratio was still acceptable.

05/05/2026: Ikea: The chain where profit matters more than the customer
Ikea used to be a trusted brand for home decor and furniture. Unfortunately, they've decided to eliminate all the cashiers. After retrieving your boxes from the stockroom yourself, you now have to scan your purchases on the way out. Only one overworked student is tasked with addressing the numerous problems at the six self-checkout kiosks under his supervision. A Securitas security guard watches you throughout the process with an unpleasant, inquisitive eye, convinced that every customer is a closet thief. Self-checkouts were implemented in other stores to reduce waiting times. Not at Ikea. You have to queue to do everything yourself. One day, they'll ask us to sweep the floor on our way out. Since the checkout experience comes at the very end of the store, it leaves a rather disappointing shopping experience. I prefer to go to the Danish store in Vendenheim while waiting for the Jysk store in Kehl to open in June. There, you have a checkout counter where employees greet you with a smile. The complete opposite of the impersonal experience at Ikea. What a shame.

03/05/2026: Manolya Kebab… what happened to you? You're one of the most renowned kebab shops in Strasbourg, but I was disappointed. The yufka I ordered was made with a tasteless, cardboard-like, industrial bread. Other, lesser-known kebab shops already offer homemade bread. And as for the meat, it tasted like it had been mechanically separated, with bits of cartilage. I understand that the meat comes from factories and is sometimes frozen, but even then, it's possible to select quality spit-roasted meat. Profitability shouldn't take precedence over quality, especially with your reputation and the tourist traffic. I've eaten at about 80% of the doner kebab shops in Strasbourg, and I think I have a point of reference when I say that this one is overpriced for what you get. I hope you'll take these comments into account and finally offer a quality that lives up to your reputation.

30/06/2026: We tried the doner kebab wrap and vegetable pizza, as well as the ayran (yogurt drink) from Germany, at the place run by Ali, originally from Elazığ, who we learned has been in France for 40 years. We really liked it. The complimentary freshly brewed tea in a slender glass, combined with his pleasant conversation, makes it a small but reliable and high-quality restaurant we highly recommend. Ali's friendly demeanor, sweet talk, and professionalism have made him a favorite not only among Turks but also among people of all nationalities. I definitely recommend you visit.
