16/02/2026: A very good restaurant that has retained its original charm. The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming; you won't be bored with them.
The meal was delicious and homemade. My only slight complaint is that the Welsh rarebit wasn't piping hot enough when it arrived; we were a large table, which might explain the delay in all the dishes being served at once.
Great decor, even in the restrooms!
16/02/2026: Terrible service! The meat was very rubbery and tasteless! The owner was very unpleasant and unprofessional. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant! Disgusting!

17/12/2025: This is the temple of poutine, and the portions are... substantial.
For those who are a little hungry, there are open-faced sandwiches and burgers.
The Milanese poutine I chose was excellent.

23/11/2025: Avoid at all costs!
Despite waiting an entire hour in the cold—a wait the manager had asked us to respect, assuring us a table would be available—we were never seated. Not only was the promise broken, but the manager displayed a disconcerting lack of empathy, showing no regard whatsoever for our wasted time or our empty stomachs.
The irony is that we were clearly told not to make a reservation, only to be criticized for not doing so. Total disorganization, incoherent communication, and a blatant disregard for customers.

26/10/2025: It's always a pleasure to come and eat at the Peplum. The waitresses are friendly, and the value for money is excellent. The fries are very good, as is the pitta. Probably the best pitta plate in the area. That's why we came from Maubeuge.

06/11/2025: Not great. The salmon pizza was loaded with salmon but had nothing else on top… the portion of dough was too small; you'd need two slices to fill an average adult… for the price, it was pretty bad.
05/11/2025: Very disappointed by this restaurant; many things were missing (no Italian wines, no scallops, no stuffed ravioli). The pizzas were far too overcooked and dry, and the cook made an unpleasant remark suggesting adding water.

22/11/2025: I had lunch with my mom today. We ordered two kebab plates, and let me tell you, they were so generous that I couldn't finish them all! The portions were very generous, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was spotless! The owner is really lovely.
We'll be back.

I ordered a cordon bleu tenders taco with extra cheese sauce and cheddar: the taco was dry, there was no sauce in the tortilla, and the cordon bleu was barely cut… Clearly not what was advertised.
My partner ordered a winter taco: no cheese sauce, no raclette cheese. Needless to say, the recipe wasn't followed either.
For the price and the restaurant's reputation, it's really disappointing. The photos speak for themselves.
We will not be ordering again.
22/12/2025: When a kebab is as large as a hamburger, when a taco is as flat as a croque monsieur with ten extra fries practically fighting each other, without even acknowledging the direct (face-to-face) feedback, it deserves a disappointing review! Even if the kebab itself tasted decent.

24/01/2026: The hotel itself is very nice, the service is impeccable, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very clean, and the breakfast is excellent...
BUT...
Sandwiched between a football stadium and a ring road, the setting is simply depressing...
There's nothing nearby: no bars, restaurants, entertainment, gardens, or even a park... It's great to arrive at 10 PM and leave at 8 AM...
I'll never go back.
19/01/2026: I visited the Christmas market with my daughter in early December 2025.
The hotel is easily accessible by metro.
There's a huge shopping mall nearby.
The rooms are clean and tidy.
We had a good experience.
We had breakfast at Paul's, not at the hotel.

19/02/2026: Very disappointed. We barely ate anything. The fries were undercooked, plus there were several different kinds of fries mixed together. The salad was undercooked. Very disappointed.
19/02/2026: I was stunned by the level of hygiene! Everything was filthy. The man was touching everything with his fingers without washing his hands and continued to touch the food. The health inspector absolutely must come and visit this place! And the tacos weren't good either.

29/09/2024: Too much waiting. The dishes do not arrive at the same time and are cold. Once the last dish arrived, the sauce was not the right one and we had to wait another 10 minutes minimum for another one to be brought to us.
Atmosphere-wise it was too noisy with the music and the ads.
We left without having had dessert because there was too much of a wait.
We would have been served more quickly if we had ordered takeaway.
The staff was overwhelmed and the cooks couldn't keep up.
29/09/2024: So in terms of taste, the restaurant is of a decent standard, however the quality of service leaves something to be desired. Having come as a party of 4, we placed an order at the same time but received our dishes delayed 20 minutes of waiting between dishes for the same table. Following this we asked the waitress present to reheat the dishes already served, which seemed to pose a problem for her or could it come from the fact that her job does not suit her in this case a professional reconversion would be expected. It’s a shame because the evening could have gone well.
