10/01/2026: We were fortunate to be welcomed with open arms after the show, despite the service having seemingly ended. A "home away from home" atmosphere that in no way detracted from the quality of the food and service.

12/12/2025: Fantastic meal with friends (6) before a show at the Lille Comedy Club. Aperitifs, shared starters, magnificent main courses, a truly authentic Maroilles sauce, and a perfect wine suggestion—in fact, nothing to complain about except go! Go with your eyes wide open to discover a place, an atmosphere, and food of exceptional quality… Bravo and thank you!

30/11/2024: We came this November 30. A coldness in the restaurant eating while cold is really not great when you realize that the customers are eating with their coats on I don't think it's normal, a foie gras so cold that it breaks into pieces, a cold meat and another rare instead of well done. No atmosphere because no background music to hear conversations or noise from customers talking 😞 Solving the problems would, I think, be good to do quickly when we see that on a Saturday evening there are not many customers, something must be not up to standard.

You feel welcome from the moment you arrive; the service is attentive, friendly, and pleasantly unobtrusive. A restaurant to savor, unwind, and feel completely at ease. 03/01/2026: Hello, we ordered our New Year's meal for 9 guests and were delighted. The variety of dishes offered, both starters and main courses, meant there was something for everyone. The quality of the ingredients was undeniably excellent; I personally recommend the lamb shank with thyme sauce. Very good value for money. Thank you.

14/01/2026: A fantastic place to eat in Lille. The food is excellent, the steak with eggs is delicious and high quality. Be sure to save room for dessert: their walnut tart is incredible! A real treat in a very pleasant brasserie atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

15/02/2026: I am unfortunately very disappointed with my experience at L’Othentique. We waited 35 minutes before anyone even came to take our order, and then almost another hour to receive our food. The wait was truly excessive. Regarding the food, we had ordered our meat medium-rare, but it was far too overcooked. I had ordered beef skewers. Since they weren't cooked to the correct temperature, I sent my dish back. After such a long wait, I wasn't really hungry anymore, and I made it very clear to the waitress, three or four times, that she didn't want to remake the dish because I really didn't want it and simply wanted to cancel the order. Despite this, she insisted, explaining that "it was important to the chef" that I take my food anyway, and she put it on my plate to go even though I hadn't touched a single thing. When the bill arrived, the kebab was still charged. So I pointed out the error before paying. The waiter then took the takeaway bag from me, saying, "Since you don't want it, we'll keep it here then," and the dish wasn't charged in the end because he kept the bag. I found the way the bag was taken back to be really unprofessional and inappropriate. Between the very long wait, the incorrect cooking, and the clumsy handling of the situation despite my repeated requests, the overall experience was disappointing. It's a shame, because we were hoping to have a good time.

14/02/2026: Beyond the Valentine's Day evening, the organization was nonexistent; the servers unfortunately couldn't do anything, they were overwhelmed.
