13/04/2026: A very good quality restaurant, though the prices are a little high compared to other similar establishments in the area! Fresh ingredients, local dishes, and culinary creations.
The service is impeccable, and the dishes are beautifully presented and delicious.
It's a shame there's such a long wait between courses, but we're also here to take our time. Perhaps I'm just too rushed or impatient!
Correction: In good company, time flies! The service is still excellent.
Since the change of ownership, the cuisine and atmosphere have evolved considerably, in a good way in my opinion. The recipes and pace suit me much better.
The service is also much younger, therefore more dynamic, and that's refreshing!

07/04/2026: We used the catering services of L'Escale 87 to celebrate our birthdays, my husband and I. There were about forty of us, and everyone was delighted with the service. Everything was delicious and plentiful. The desserts were amazing 😋. I highly recommend them.

25/03/2026: I've tried it several times as a bar, and the selection is excellent, both on tap and bottled, with very reasonable prices!
Whether you're a fan of Belgian or French beers, or rum, you'll find something to love!
The owner is friendly and welcoming, always offering little snacks to accompany your drinks, and always with a smile. I also tried it once in the evening as a restaurant; the fast food, like burgers and other options, is well-prepared, reasonably priced, and includes complimentary extras.
Thanks for the often-offered digestifs, and see you soon!

Back on August 2, 2022. Still great! Super friendly owners. Coffee for €1! My go-to spot when I'm back in Sens!
Interesting selection of draft beers.

27/03/2026: I was very disappointed with my visit to McDonald's Auxerre last night for two meals. The manager was very rude and unprofessional when I tried to explain the situation. Such a lack of respect is unacceptable for a company like yours. [Edit: Thank you for your response, but you are completely missing the point. This isn't just a matter of "feelings" or courtesy: I paid for two Mario Galaxy items, only receiving one out of two.]
Your manager refused to correct this factual error despite the evidence I provided at the time. Acknowledging my message is one thing, but refunding me for a product that was charged but not served is quite another. I am still waiting for a concrete solution to this loss.

29/03/2026: The staff are unprofessional... and they're always out of stock of the products they offer, no matter what opening hours you go.
I revised my review today and removed a star because there's been no improvement; things are getting worse.
28/03/2026: A disaster!!! This is the second time they've been missing peanut sauce, Sanday sauce, the sauces we pay for despite asking at the drive-thru [You put everything in! Yes, yes!] Well, no, nothing actually. In short, the service is getting worse and worse. You pay and once you get home, half your order is missing, plus the bread is burnt 😡😡 Seriously, I understand that these things happen, but this is happening every time. That's it, Joigny! So yeah, they're friendly, no problem, but that's all.

Knowing that sows are confined to cages where they can't turn around, and that piglets undergo tail docking, castration, or teeth filing, completely changes my perspective as a customer. Columbus Café & Co and Pret A Manger have made commitments: when will Patapain follow suit?

01/04/2026: Early morning experience at 7:30 am at the checkout… let’s just say the coffee was hot, but the welcome was less so 😅
Automated service with a string of “Here you are, and what else?” worthy of a well-programmed robot, but without the smile option activated.
We understand that waking up is difficult (we’ve all been there), but a little smile would clearly be just as welcome as the coffee ☕
It’s a shame, because this is really not the usual image of Pat à Pain’s staff, who are generally much warmer.

Within that context, it's excellent.
30/01/2026: HORRIBLE… The Coke tasted like dish soap, with weird stuff in the glass that I don't even want to know what it was, making you wonder if it wasn't actually a dish soap drink. The burgers were the same: a pickle soaked in dish soap, a dry and burnt bun—a truly disgusting result. As for cleanliness, let's not even go there. And to top it all off, burnt nuggets—like eating charcoal. The only positive point: the service was very friendly, no complaints there. I left with a stomach ache. For your own safety, I recommend you stay away.

21/04/2026: A nice restaurant, the waitresses are pleasant, however, they rushed us to take our orders and leave.
It was almost as if they were rushing us to eat our desserts! Which I find unprofessional. We were a group of four, and we come to a restaurant to take our time and not eat in 40 minutes. As for the food, it was fairly decent. The charcuterie board was okay, the hamburgers had slightly overcooked buns, and we asked for one without onions, which we didn't get. The endives were swimming in water, so not very good. The duck, however, was good.

22/09/2025: For all gourmets, every day. Behind its pastel window, enjoy a real homemade dish of the day, made from a selection of fresh products. The chef is passionate about simmering his dishes, for takeout, delivery, or to eat in. Preparation and cooking with a wide choice of extras for the most gourmet. The range of tasty "al dente" pasta (pasta) served in generous portions seduced me because you can choose the sauce to your liking. As did the selection of starters, main courses, and desserts. It also offers paninis. I also recommend a range of hot drinks, sodas, and smoothies.

06/04/2026: The staff were smiling and friendly, and the service was quite fast. In addition, the meal was served piping hot, which was much appreciated.
We also noticed that the staff cleaned the tables as soon as a customer left, which demonstrates their professionalism.
Even though several items were missing from our order, they apologized when we pointed it out.
The only negative point was the restrooms, which were definitely not up to the same standard as the rest of the restaurant.
