26/04/2026: We came to this restaurant for dinner on the recommendation of regulars. The welcome was warm, with attentive staff, and the dining room was beautifully decorated to evoke the spirit of North Africa. Orders were taken and served promptly. The four of us each ordered couscous, two lamb dishes, one merguez sausage meatball, and the last dish, the "royal" (a type of couscous). Two of us had the classic durum wheat semolina, while the other two had barley semolina. Personally, I didn't find the barley semolina to have a superior taste to the durum wheat, especially considering the price difference of €5 per person. Ultimately, it's a matter of personal taste. But the dishes were flavorful, well-presented, and generously portioned. The atmosphere was pleasant, ideal for a meal with family, friends, or even as a couple. Overall, the value for money is good, with a total of €173 for the four couscous dishes, four aperitifs, four desserts, and a half-bottle of the excellent Boulaouanne rosé. The owner even offered us a small glass of digestif to round off this pleasant experience.

20/04/2026: The best barley couscous I've ever eaten, a true Kabyle specialty. And with a restaurant that has over 100 years of history, you can't go wrong. I ate there for the first time with my wife in March 2023 and have been back several times with friends and family. I plan to return for the couscous festival in Marseille – the atmosphere is fantastic! Thank you, Moustapha, for your kindness.

13/04/2026: We had high expectations when ordering the Bouillabaisse (41€) and the linguine with clams (28€). The soupe somehow lacks the typical Provencal taste and depth. The sauce for the linguine was certainly not made with fresh tomatoes. For a amateur cook who has prepared these two dishes many times before at home, I thought a professional cook would perform much better than this. Oh boy, how wrong was I. The croutons was just simply dry but not crispy as if they're made some days before. The shrimps are overcooked and tasteless. You definitely would not go bankruptcy adding some aillolie to this dish or sprinkle some little olive oil before serving. The service was alright though

10/04/2026: We ordered the octopus and bouillabaisse, "the specialty" according to the waiter. We certainly didn't regret it; hats off to you, it was perfect. 22/03/2026: Booked two weeks in advance for a friend's birthday, extremely disappointed. We arrived at an establishment that pretends to be a restaurant, and upon arrival, we were told that the kitchen was closed but that we could still order tapas. The atmosphere was already very strange; the table was reserved, yet some seats were dirty (including mine) and unprepared; my glass was full of breadcrumbs. The waiter, instead of politely asking my neighbor to get up and put the rug back in place, lifted his chair while he was sitting on it, inadvertently hurting him in the process. In his impatience, he ended up with a bruise on his arm. After an interminable wait, while we were all starving, the so-called tapas platters finally arrived, and they were truly pathetic. €70 for a platter that I'm almost certain wasn't even worth €15—I find that shameful. With this platter, we were served bread as hard as a rock. Paying was just as interminable; they made it perfectly clear we were inconvenienced because there were so many of us and we were blocking the way, but we waited ages before they even acknowledged us. The atmosphere was frankly anxiety-inducing, in my opinion. If you go, I hope you have the palate of a Doberman and that you're not claustrophobic.

06/04/2026: Delicious attieke with fish and tuna pastels; there's a wait, but it's 100% worth it! Can't wait to go back!

05/04/2026: A 1 hour 20 minute wait is incomprehensible. It would be good to inform the customer when the wait is this long. Please respect your customers; it's always the same.
