29/06/2026: I came to eat at this tapas bar on a Sunday evening. It wasn't very busy, yet the owner was anything but pleasant. Throughout the meal, we felt like we were bothering him, even annoying him, which is frankly unpleasant when you're a customer. The food was decent for the price, no complaints there. However, the service completely ruined the experience. A real shame.

21/06/2026: Guys do not go there !!!! I was told i have to buy a drink to use the toilet which is i am totaly fine with ... But I was surprised as I was enjoying my drink inside that I should go outside ... I understand it was the fête de la musique but still not fair !!! I paid for a drink and it is not logic I can not even drink it Very very peacefully tranquille inside !!!! Happy fête de la musique. Merci pour votre gentillesse.

15/03/2026: Well, it's a beautiful shop, the problem is that the quality isn't there, and the bad faith and after-sales service are deplorable. Check everything before buying, and especially upon delivery. After reading your response, I see that Bad faith is not in my vocabulary, unlike yours. My partner only cut off the loose threads and didn't touch the stitching on your rug, which is falling apart. This is typical of people like you who are in denial and question the good faith of their customers. Sharing with you is pointless. Your haughty attitude and your claim to "know the truth" are mediocre. So I'll leave you with your truth; I have mine. And my partner, who is acting in good faith, has nothing to do with this. I don't like your behavior. That's all.

13/05/2026: The classic bouillabaisse, served in three courses with six different fish, and the oyster and shellfish platter were good. The service was disappointing, and the owner seemed unengaged. Next time we'll look for something else.

29/04/2026: Our first bouillabaisse, and we were delighted with our experience at Chez Loury! The fish soup was delicious, as was the rouille. Everything was perfect. Great value for money, I think… We also appreciated the restaurant's intimate atmosphere. In short, we highly recommend it. Remember to book if you go.

26/04/2026: We came to this restaurant for dinner on the recommendation of regulars. The welcome was warm, with attentive staff, and the dining room was beautifully decorated to evoke the spirit of North Africa. Orders were taken and served promptly. The four of us each ordered couscous, two lamb dishes, one merguez sausage meatball, and the last dish, the "royal" (a type of couscous). Two of us had the classic durum wheat semolina, while the other two had barley semolina. Personally, I didn't find the barley semolina to have a superior taste to the durum wheat, especially considering the price difference of €5 per person. Ultimately, it's a matter of personal taste. But the dishes were flavorful, well-presented, and generously portioned. The atmosphere was pleasant, ideal for a meal with family, friends, or even as a couple. Overall, the value for money is good, with a total of €173 for the four couscous dishes, four aperitifs, four desserts, and a half-bottle of the excellent Boulaouanne rosé. The owner even offered us a small glass of digestif to round off this pleasant experience.

20/04/2026: The best barley couscous I've ever eaten, a true Kabyle specialty. And with a restaurant that has over 100 years of history, you can't go wrong. I ate there for the first time with my wife in March 2023 and have been back several times with friends and family. I plan to return for the couscous festival in Marseille – the atmosphere is fantastic! Thank you, Moustapha, for your kindness.

29/05/2026: Avoid at all costs!!!!! Never eat there. I encountered two women who kept watching us as if I were going to run away. They were incredibly sour, not a single smile. The food was disgusting. I ordered foutou with palm nut sauce and foutou with mafé sauce, and it was revolting. I strongly advise against going there. Plus, it was incredibly hot, and they wouldn't even turn on the air conditioning. And don't even get me started on the prices—it was outrageous! A tiny carafe of juice cost seven euros for nothing, when it costs €0.50 at the market. In short, I didn't even touch my plate, and I ended up paying €40 for nothing, for something that looked like expired pasta, hot sauce full of spices, and undercooked meat. Honestly, I'm still traumatized.

27/05/2026: Absolutely fantastic! You can sit outside on the street in a beautiful setting, and the food tastes just like in West Africa, with large portions. If I lived here, I would come here every week :)

04/05/2026: Honestly, with all due respect to the brother who prepared my order, it was by far the worst kebab I've ever eaten, a complete disaster. The fries were the same. I couldn't even eat half of them. I paid 8 euros, which isn't a huge amount, but still. The fries were cooked and then reheated in oil, so they were inedible. The kebab was very poorly cut, the meat had a questionable texture and a frankly disgusting taste. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this is truly unacceptable. Please work on the quality. It's a shame, because you're in a great location.

25/06/2026: Very disappointed with this experience. The food remains very mediocre, deviating significantly from the menu (see menu details). The portions are very small. It's a shame, because there's real potential.

24/02/2026: Mixed feelings. Moldy ceiling and walls, cold and questionable atmosphere. Wooden plates were very unhygienic. One wonders what state the kitchen is in... Very good wine and the dish was okay for the price. Not bad, but nothing to write home about. The chimichurri needs improvement... In short, not bad for buying a bottle of wine to take away.

I was dressed all in white. 😋 If he happens to recognize himself, please tell him I was just rambling a bit at the time 😅 and that I wish we could have continued the conversation under better circumstances 😅
