If there are no more, the other sweet treats in the window should tempt you for a snack! The portions are more than generous and we enjoy every bite! To discover without hesitation!

20/09/2024: We had an extremely disappointing and infuriating experience at Via Roma in La Rochelle. After driving all day from the south, we stopped around 7:15 pm to have dinner. From the moment we arrived, the servers were rude. When I inquired about a specific dish, the waiter sarcastically responded, “Why would you have that?” He then switched our waitstaff, claiming he didn’t speak English. Meanwhile, he had no problem chatting and playing with a passerby’s dog. Our new server, a young lady, was polite and took our orders: one Caprese salad, spaghetti Napolitana, one wine, and one beer. The spaghetti was terrible, but since we had to drive to Carnac, we ate a little to settle our stomachs. Earlier, we had a starter at a nearby seafood place that only served small plates, which is why we came here hoping for a full meal. We were seated at table 6 outside, and our bill came to 42 Euros. However, we were told to pay inside at the register, and they refused to accept our credit card. They swiped my card, and we left. Shockingly, when I returned home and reviewed my bank statement, I discovered they had charged my card $333. The restaurant claimed to my bank that this was the correct amount, which is utterly absurd. We spent just 25 minutes there, dissatisfied with the food and service. We left in a hurry and didn’t get a receipt, only realizing the scam after checking our statements. Despite providing photos of our time there, the bank refused to help us recover our money, saying the charge was justified as we handed our card to be swiped. This establishment has essentially robbed us of our hard-earned money for a terrible dining experience. Tourists, please beware: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! Do not use your debit or credit cards here—pay cash if you must go. No one answers the phone or responds on their Google page. This restaurant is a complete scam. Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from Via Roma!

25/09/2024: Very good place to eat. Starter, main course, dessert €22. The cuisine is excellent. Sunday lunch fried squids with tomato sauce 👍 mackerel fillets with celery puree 👍 pana cota and coulis 😋👍👏.

01/06/2024: Poulet frit coréen , le poulet pas cuit, plus de gras que de poulet, le poulet violet. Riz servis dans un bol le riz était dure, collant il devait dater sûrement de la veille. Canette afficher 2,30€ vendu 3,90€. Je ne recommande pas.

30/11/2024: My dear friends, We stopped last night to watch the match where we unfortunately lost 😢 escaping the final and we were not disappointed with this bar/restaurant. The young man and the beautiful lady who served us made us feel at ease to enjoy the match and the food that was served to us!! We took the earth board, exquisite products but perhaps slightly outnumbered for the price. Little extra: a direct view of the restaurant next door, where the waiter delighted our eyes 😳. We strongly recommend

Sure, it’s a pleasure that may seem a little expensive, but the flavor and taste experience are definitely worth it. However, as with everything, moderation is key: excess sugar can have health effects. But for an occasional treat, this address is a must!

12/07/2024: Interesting choice of beers on tap. About ten, as well as in bottles. Mainly local and French. Good service also.

07/04/2024: Very nice place with changing beers and a very reasonable price. Pleasant and responsive service, we went back to find an address far from the port and local crowds.
