13/06/2026: We ate there today, nothing to complain about, everything was excellent, and the staff were very professional and very friendly.

14/05/2026: The last time I went there, my sister got food poisoning from salmon that wasn't fresh at all. I didn't even eat it because it didn't look very good to begin with.

20/08/2026: The name of this brasserie really needs to be reconsidered given the extremely unpleasant welcome and the borderline misogynistic attitude of the waiter, the man with glasses. I left without even ordering. Avoid at all costs!!!

18/08/2026: Stopped in on a Tuesday at lunchtime (1:20 pm) in August. We were very happy to find a table here. It was busy, with servers moving efficiently. Large trays piled high with plates arrived at the customers' tables. We opted for the set menu: affordable, fresh, colorful, and delicious (kudos to the chefs!). The children's menus were varied and as well-presented as the adults' meals. Yes, the dining room was noisy due to the crowds, but this didn't affect the service; the wait was reasonable. The servers were attentive despite being asked for our food. For a place we stumbled upon by chance, while passing by, we were delighted with the welcome and the meal. I recommend it. 16/08/2026: The seafood sauerkraut was very good. The meat was tender. I recommend this restaurant; the staff is pleasant.

06/08/2026: A little disappointed with the food. Fortunately, the service was excellent, no complaints there—friendly and, above all, understanding. The atmosphere lost a point because we were at the far end, so people were practically walking right over us.

12/08/2026: 202607 Great! You can get a round platter here to go into the market and buy seafood to eat! We ordered cream and bread, juice and a glass of wine to go with our oyster platter. I love Laro!

09/08/2026: I strongly advise against going there. We ate next to the owner's table, and he shouts and speaks extremely rudely to his employees throughout the restaurant. He also gave us a dirty look and spoke rudely to us. The waitress, however, was very professional and efficient! Unfortunately, when it came time to pay for the table and our drinks, the bill wasn't recorded, so we had to repeat everything!

16/08/2026: Pitt stop for a quick refreshment. Its a busy place and our server was busy but very efficient dealing with many orders all at once. Nice spot to people watch with locals.

24/08/2026: We went into this restaurant for a beer and a quick bite. We ordered a club sandwich, but unfortunately, the quality of the food was very disappointing. I couldn't finish my sandwich because the bread was soggy and completely soggy from the lettuce. The filling—chicken, tomatoes, and cheese—was very meager, with truly small portions. In terms of quality and presentation, it was more like an average fast-food meal than what you'd expect from a restaurant. The fries were also disappointing: overcooked, dry, and tasteless. On the other hand, the waitress was welcoming and friendly, and we have no complaints about the service. Unfortunately, pleasant service isn't enough to compensate for such poor food. Based on our experience, I don't recommend this restaurant.

20/08/2026: We were just passing through and tried their delicious pizzas. The crust was crispy, the toppings were scrumptious. The service was quick. The gentleman who runs the restaurant is lovely. We devoured them. I highly recommend it!

26/07/2026: We stopped for a quick drink, and we were met by a visibly disgruntled waiter who seemed to be wasting his time serving us. No hello, no goodbye... However, the bill was immediately placed on the table. We had read excellent reviews and were planning to return for a meal. But given the reception, that won't be happening. Keep this up if your goal is to drive customers away; you're well on your way.

14/07/2026: Excellent mussels marinara and fries with a nice glass of white wine for €15.50, delicious homemade tart, friendly and smiling staff. Perfect. Thank you.

31/08/2026: The staff were not at all pleasant. Long wait times. The food was only moderately hot. The premises were particularly dirty. Not recommended!

04/09/2026: Passing through La Rochelle, we didn't know this restaurant. Originally planning a stop for drinks, we decided to stay for lunch. A homemade menu, fresh seafood, and very affordable prices—we had a wonderful time on the terrace. A special mention for Flo, the incredibly kind waiter! Thank you for your hospitality!

05/09/2026: After ordering our drinks, we waited over 30 minutes before finally leaving, as our order still hadn't arrived. Such a long wait for simple drinks is truly unacceptable. The organization and service clearly need to be reviewed!

25/05/2026: The best Vietnamese takeaway (or eat-in) buffet I've ever had, a must-try for me for years when in La Rochelle. The staff are very competent and friendly, and the price is very reasonable. Refined cuisine. I highly recommend it.

16/04/2026: The worst student cafeteria in France, and I mean it. We haven't had anything to eat for a week, the portions are disastrous, and we're still paying the same price! They really think we're animals!

01/09/2026: ABSOLUTELY AVOID. The elderly people who run this business are unfriendly, the products are terrible, and it's the first time in my life (70 years old) that I've been served cheap bottled water for a glass. The toilets have an electric lock, and it costs €2 for people who don't buy anything. The set menu is more expensive than buying the items separately, and the staff doesn't seem to be registered and paid in cash. It's too much of a one-stop shop.
