20/09/2024: We had an extremely disappointing and infuriating experience at Via Roma in La Rochelle. After driving all day from the south, we stopped around 7:15 pm to have dinner. From the moment we arrived, the servers were rude. When I inquired about a specific dish, the waiter sarcastically responded, “Why would you have that?” He then switched our waitstaff, claiming he didn’t speak English. Meanwhile, he had no problem chatting and playing with a passerby’s dog. Our new server, a young lady, was polite and took our orders: one Caprese salad, spaghetti Napolitana, one wine, and one beer. The spaghetti was terrible, but since we had to drive to Carnac, we ate a little to settle our stomachs. Earlier, we had a starter at a nearby seafood place that only served small plates, which is why we came here hoping for a full meal. We were seated at table 6 outside, and our bill came to 42 Euros. However, we were told to pay inside at the register, and they refused to accept our credit card. They swiped my card, and we left. Shockingly, when I returned home and reviewed my bank statement, I discovered they had charged my card $333. The restaurant claimed to my bank that this was the correct amount, which is utterly absurd. We spent just 25 minutes there, dissatisfied with the food and service. We left in a hurry and didn’t get a receipt, only realizing the scam after checking our statements. Despite providing photos of our time there, the bank refused to help us recover our money, saying the charge was justified as we handed our card to be swiped. This establishment has essentially robbed us of our hard-earned money for a terrible dining experience. Tourists, please beware: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! Do not use your debit or credit cards here—pay cash if you must go. No one answers the phone or responds on their Google page. This restaurant is a complete scam. Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from Via Roma!

19/09/2024: Response to Léa gvg You are surely the 3 people who came to take only 2 KF for 3 people and with 3 glasses of water served After 1h30 you came to ask for a large jug of water because you were very thirsty, hence the refusal. On the 2 consumption port for 3 you won't even be able to sit down and after 1/2 hour you would have had to renew your drinks To post a comment like this you would first have to give details of your refusal of glasses of water When you go to the cinema with 3, are there only 2 who pay for the screening???? 17/11/2024: La boulangerie est très bien , propre et rapport qualité prix correct. J’ai été émerveillé par l’accueil des deux boulangères (blonde), souriante et super pro . Mesdames ne changer rien , vous avez gagner un client chez vous et je compte y revenir, je recommanderais a mon entourage de passer chez vous !! C’est mérité !!!!

10/12/2024: Une galette très bonne… un menu avec une bonne viande de bœuf… des serveurs sympas mais… débordés et 3/4 h pour avoir notre café gourmand (heureusement… il était très bon… café et dessert)
