We stopped by last night to watch the match where we unfortunately lost 😢, missing out on the final, and we weren't disappointed by this bar/restaurant. The young man and the lovely lady who served us made us feel completely at ease, allowing us to fully enjoy the match and the food we were served! We ordered the "terre" platter, which featured exquisite products, though perhaps a slightly smaller portion for the price. A nice bonus: a direct view into the restaurant next door, where the waiter was quite a sight to behold 😳. We highly recommend it!

12/11/2024: THE WORST ILLNESS OF MY LIFE! I am someone who goes there quite often, I would say 11 times a year and this is the first time that I have been sick of this kebab. But I was traumatized because the food poisoning was so powerful, I couldn't eat or drink anything for 2 days, even lukewarm water and plain rice. My body vomited it up 5 minutes later and refused to eat. The doctor flat out told me to go to the hospital because I was so sick and my stomach was irritated, for 2 hours I went every 10 minutes to go to the toilet and I woke up at night to vomit as soon as possible. the water I had in me! Which meant that I was dehydrated all the time and my head hurt a lot. The meat was not very cooked, almost cold, I'm sure that's what gave me this illness worthy of Satan! On the 2nd day I was afraid to eat, as you can see, my body refused all food because I didn't want to vomit again, I was afraid to eat, it's unacceptable and above all not normal! In short, I'm literally traumatized by kebabs, I wouldn't eat them for at least 3 years and you've lost a customer forever
01/11/2024: I had a kebab pancake delivered from this establishment through Uber Eats.
I will not judge the service or the cleanliness.
My experience began when I received the famous white kebab box, the one which generally softens the fries and unsurprisingly this was the case.
Even so, the fries have no flavor and seem to be a low quality industrial product.
And there, the kebab... What can I say, fatty, tasteless, the pancake was so soaked in fat that the bottom of the kebab crumbled.
The meat? It looks like a very fatty chicken thigh. No pleasure.
Sauce and fat everywhere later, end of the meal, without any pleasure.
Very disappointed.

01/12/2025: We booked three rooms for the marathon weekend. Given the price we paid for just one night, €122 per room, we expected a minimum level of comfort. What a bitter surprise it was!
For €122, there was no shower or toilet in the room... showers that didn't even close properly, rooms that weren't soundproofed, a sink that wasn't fixed in place... I understand that the marathon inflates prices, but clearly, this type of accommodation shouldn't cost more than €30-40 per night. A huge disappointment, to say the least.
01/12/2025: We rented three rooms to participate in the marathon this weekend. The rooms are very poorly insulated; you can hear everything in the other rooms. And the showers? Don't even get me started! The swing doors don't close properly—a disaster! The shower stalls are propped up with pieces of wood on the sides. It's unacceptable to charge €120 per room in such conditions.

The waiter didn't come to take our order himself.
He was rude, even verbally aggressive.
It's a shame, because the restaurant is well located. The prices are exorbitant. One small detail: drinking water on the terrace is prohibited…

02/02/2026: Very disappointing. The service was slow and unprofessional; we felt like we were bothering them. The dishes arrived lukewarm, tasteless, and clearly below the price. The wait was long even though the restaurant wasn't full. There was no attention paid to the customers. I do not recommend it and I will not be returning.

07/07/2025: I can't rate the accommodation. Just passing through for lunch, considering the location. We'll stop by. The welcome was mixed. The owner wasn't very respectful of his staff.
Overcooked salmon, vegetables: 3 pieces of peppers dueling. The meat was good. I wouldn't come back.
26/06/2025: Regarding the restaurant which is very poorly rated as far as I am concerned I give it 4 out of 5 ..... go there and appreciate it for yourself. Let's be open-minded.

20/09/2024: We had an extremely disappointing and infuriating experience at Via Roma in La Rochelle. After driving all day from the south, we stopped around 7:15 pm to have dinner. From the moment we arrived, the servers were rude. When I inquired about a specific dish, the waiter sarcastically responded, “Why would you have that?” He then switched our waitstaff, claiming he didn’t speak English. Meanwhile, he had no problem chatting and playing with a passerby’s dog.
Our new server, a young lady, was polite and took our orders: one Caprese salad, spaghetti Napolitana, one wine, and one beer. The spaghetti was terrible, but since we had to drive to Carnac, we ate a little to settle our stomachs. Earlier, we had a starter at a nearby seafood place that only served small plates, which is why we came here hoping for a full meal. We were seated at table 6 outside, and our bill came to 42 Euros. However, we were told to pay inside at the register, and they refused to accept our credit card. They swiped my card, and we left.
Shockingly, when I returned home and reviewed my bank statement, I discovered they had charged my card $333. The restaurant claimed to my bank that this was the correct amount, which is utterly absurd. We spent just 25 minutes there, dissatisfied with the food and service. We left in a hurry and didn’t get a receipt, only realizing the scam after checking our statements.
Despite providing photos of our time there, the bank refused to help us recover our money, saying the charge was justified as we handed our card to be swiped. This establishment has essentially robbed us of our hard-earned money for a terrible dining experience.
Tourists, please beware: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! Do not use your debit or credit cards here—pay cash if you must go. No one answers the phone or responds on their Google page. This restaurant is a complete scam. Save yourself the trouble and stay far away from Via Roma!

29/11/2024: Derrière le décor original et un service chaleureux où le tutoiement est de rigueur se cache une cuisine authentique où les gambas, saint jacques , seiches et cabillaud se côtoient dans le pot de chambre de mémé .
Très belle soirée que je conseille fortement.
