21/08/2026: Found by chance and a very pleasant surprise! We hadn't booked and we were so lucky! The starters, main courses, and desserts were surprising and very tasty, all homemade, and the wines suggested for our dishes were perfectly paired. We had a wonderful time, received a very warm welcome, and the service was top-notch. Go there, but definitely book in advance! Thank you to the chef and his team for this delightful culinary experience.

21/08/2026: What a lovely restaurant. Family of three with two vegetarians and here there were superb options for all of us. The atmosphere is cosy and service top-notch. We dined in the evening and reserved online the night before. We all loved it. Highly recommended.

23/08/2026: We were absolutely charmed by this cuisine, which was as delicious as it was original. A masterful blend of Asian influences and the finest seafood, elevated with exceptional skill. The result is simply remarkable. While the storefront might initially suggest a somewhat touristy spot, one taste of the dishes is enough to understand that this is far from the truth: the quality of the presentation, the freshness of the ingredients, and the subtlety of the flavor combinations truly impressed us. A wonderful discovery, well worth the detour. We will definitely be back!

18/08/2026: We came for dinner and received a very warm welcome. We wanted to eat seafood, and the restaurant staff gave us excellent advice, both on the oysters and the wine. All this in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Well done to them for making our evening so enjoyable. We will definitely return on our next visit to La Rochelle.

20/07/2026: Absolutely fantastic! We've been in Laleu for four years, and this was our favorite pizzeria in the area. The change of ownership has been a success! We were worried, but it's even better! There's a wider selection on the menu, including classics like goat cheese and honey, the careful distribution of the toppings makes all the difference, and the crust is perfect. Thomas and his wife are also very friendly. My sister lives just two streets away, and we've definitely become regulars 😉 By the way, it's now easy to reach them by phone, which wasn't the case before. Don't change a thing, we're loyal customers!

26/08/2026: Good quality broth food, tried 6 months ago out of season. But they refused to seat me today at 12:45 (during peak season, of course), even though I waited and half the restaurant was empty: was it fully booked? Clearly not in keeping with the broth spirit... Disappointing...

27/08/2026: Incredible! A complete lunch menu for €42 with delicious appetizers between courses! All the dishes were beautifully presented and delicious, right down to the dessert. We also had a freshly brewed and exceptional coffee. The staff was incredibly attentive and responsive. This is by far the best restaurant in La Rochelle, especially considering its location at the foot of the medieval towers in the pedestrian zone. Thank you! 🙏

13/08/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant in May with about ten friends. I ate superbly well and drank very well too. The service was very good; it's a great place to eat in La Rochelle.

07/08/2026: Just an amazing place! Very friendly service, tres sympa! Rich menu, a lot of choice. Service also is very fast and effective. Food was fresh, simple and delicious. Simplicity of the ingredients were very well complimented by pretty creative sauces. Everything was very balanced and tasted great. For the dessert as well wel took a mousse au chocolat and it was phenomenal!

30/07/2026: La Brûlerie du Marché has become a must-visit for me and is one of those simple everyday pleasures. The setting is welcoming, right in the heart of the market, and the atmosphere on the sunny terrace in the morning is truly delightful, not to mention the excellent coffee. Without a doubt, the best coffee in town. Special mention to Clara and her colleagues, who are always incredibly welcoming, smiling, and attentive. Thank you for all your positive energy!
