25/02/2026: My wife and I ate here last night. We went in shortly after it opened at 19.00. We sat on the only remaining table for 2. Service was prompt and helpful yet gave us space when we needed it. We shared a starter of Foie Gras which was excellent . Then we both had the boeuf pave. We had them cooked differently and they were what we wanted. Lots of really fresh bread served too. We had a bottle of chenin for €27.
Delicious food, well presented, great service. Looking forward to going back tomorrow night.
20/02/2026: Excellent food, great service and did I mention excellent food, it is a few years since I had eaten here last. We went with visiting friends and they absolutely loved it. Thanks for the great evening.we won't leave it so long in-between visiting next time

La Vie en Rose restaurant is a real gem. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming; you immediately feel at ease. The service is impeccable, professional, and attentive from beginning to end. Special mention goes to the spotless cleanliness, which demonstrates a great attention to detail. A charming little restaurant to keep close at hand and recommend without hesitation!
18/01/2026: An excellent restaurant where we had a wonderful meal. Attentive service, an edible pink candle upon arrival, and delicious dishes. Wines at a fair price (which is quite rare these days). We had a lovely time. The restaurant lives up to its name!

The menu was amazing; I highly recommend the egg cocotte with foie gras—it was divine!
The welcome was wonderful, and the service was top-notch, with a smile! I recommend it 200%! Thank you!
27/11/2025: A small, very clean neighborhood restaurant, well located near the Cher River. Welcoming staff. Quick service, smiling and energetic waitress.

25/02/2026: Well, I can't say if the food is good, since after 20 minutes, nobody paid me any attention, so I'll continue to cultivate my gift of invisibility. Maybe another time...
04/02/2026: A great brasserie by the train station. Good daily specials, very good coffee. If you're looking for a sunny terrace in Montluçon, Brasserie de la Gare has one. We'll be back.

03/01/2026: Very nice historical setting, table for 8. Personally, I had an octopus salad as a starter which was quite good but a little too vinegary, a bavette steak as a main course which was very successful, and a first chocolate mousse with the egg white not whipped enough. They brought me another one with apologies which was very successful.

26/02/2026: This restaurant is more than mediocre; hygiene in the kitchen is neglected (hair in the food). Shouldn't the veterinary services pay it a visit?
25/02/2026: AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Before eating at this restaurant, please check the kitchen and the cleanliness of the cutlery because the hygiene is deplorably poor.

04/09/2025: Disappointing! The entrecôte was flabby and tough, the knife blunt, the extra green beans we ordered were initially forgotten and then delivered at different temperatures, cold on one side of the plate, hot on the other, and the sampler glass of red wine was overpriced at €5. The espresso was decent, so it gets two points.

05/12/2024: Petit restaurant très sympathique. Nous avons passé un très bon moment. Le personnel est très sympa. Bonne cuisine.
C'était la première fois pour nous et nous reviendrons.
