06/09/2024: My wife and I have been blown away by the innovative, inspired cuisine of Chef Jérôme Yahia, who in our opinion should have two Michelin stars to his name! Every meal is a culinary adventure from start to finish, filled with pleasure with every mouthful.. He sources the best local ingredients, and creates exciting dishes with great flair. Masterfully combining textures, flavours, and colours that are art as well as food! We’ve had 3 lunches so far and two diners and every plate has been a joy to eat. A feast on the eyes and then the palet. We’ve dined at 1, 2 and 3 star restaurants and both agree his cooking is easily 1 star, and better suited to 2 Michelin stars in our opinion. Often with haute cuisine, if you’re a big eater like me you can feel “less is less” and wish that you just had a bit more! But that’s not the case with him. His portions are as generous as they are delicious. I suffer from life-threatening allergies. So eating out can be very high risk, and in the past, has led to me being rushed to hospital via ambulance because someone dropped the ball or they were complacent/negligent. But right from the moment we arrived, it was clear that Jerome was completely on top of my allergies and the triggers, as were front of house who had evidently been extremely well briefed. Consequently, I was able to sit back and relax and eat safely, with complete confidence that chef and his team, plus front of house had my back. Which has made every meal a far more relaxed experience for me and for my wife than in the past. So if you suffer from food allergies, or intolerance, I can say based on my experience, if you dine here you are in very good hands if you let them know in advance. Personally, I always notify a restaurant or hotel before I dine there of what my allergies are. Because it’s much easier to plan in advance, then have to work around in the middle of a busy service. But that’s just my view.. The staff front of house are all very friendly, warm and extremely professional! It’s a real pleasure to dine with them. They are attentive without being too much, and always on hand keen to help/serve. The sommelier (I regret I haven’t got her name) is not only clearly very passionate about what she does, and extremely knowledgeable. She’s also very warm and engaging, always advising on the best wine to complement a dish, not the most expensive. That said, she has curated a very extensive and impressive wine list which will satisfy anyone’s pallet. So as you can tell, both myself and my wife are big fans, and would recommend anyone to come here and have a gastronomic adventure! As for me we will be back next year and I’m Very much looking forward to dinner tonight..

08/08/2024: Un magnifique écrin de verdure , un complexe hôtelier haut de gamme et un restaurant gastronomique délicieux Les plats sont succulents et les associations de saveurs délicieuses. Un table qui mérite son étoile. Un service irréprochable et attentionné. C’est une parenthèse de bonheurs gustatifs .

14/09/2024: Excellent service, very good meal, smile and kindness of the waitresses, very good contact for reservations. I recommend without any hesitation for a group meal. The deprivation of the room upstairs is a real godsend. Hikers' association.

27/11/2024: Un cadre idéalement situé en plein cœur de st Rémy. Le lieu a été revisité et est très agréable tant il est élégant et sobre. La vaisselle est magnifique et le personnel discret et efficace. Le menu à 290 euros se décline en 8 notes avec une part belle aux saveurs de la mer et au végétal. De la créativité, beaucoup de travail et des associations originales qui surprennent plus ou moins agréablement. Cependant, je n’ai pas pu manger le pigeon bien trop rosé à mon goût, associé à du salsifis. La fin du repas n’a pas été aussi soignée que le début, comme si la fin du service était imminente. Le repas s’achève avec l’approche d’un chariot d’assortiment de cafés et tisanes divers et variés. Le sommelier nous en fait l’éloge et nous fait choisir. Emportés par ces explications précises et bien présentées nous nous retrouvons à choisir des infusions ! Mais bien évidemment elles se retrouvent sur l’addition au prix de 8 euros l’unité. J’ai l’impression de m’être laissée « envoûter ». L’addition est finalement aussi élevée que dans un trois étoiles avec des prestations moindres. Mais bon…. Un peu de déception pour conclure ce petit voyage en Provence et en bord de mer.

08/11/2024: Les chefs ne nous ont pas déçu. Nous voulions faire vivre cette expérience gustative à nos enfants et nous étions ravis: mélanges de saveur, originalité, expérience unique et également une bienveillance entre les membres du personnel qui est à souligner. Mériterait une seconde étoile.

03/07/2024: We eat well at L! The welcome is friendly, we feel good there, I love it! Traditional cuisine prepared with love. Even the music is soothing, a very pretty place to discover in Saint Remy. Continuous service so don't hesitate! Val

26/06/2024: Chez L, an enchanted break in the historic heart of Saint Rémy de Provence. You choose your place, in the shade or in the sun, the smile and warm welcome from the owners is pure happiness. The Bulgur salad and its crunchy vegetables and the chocolate fondant are a real delight. I highly recommend this place :)

18/05/2024: Excellent food, starters, main and dessert. Generous and very kind staff. Warm atmosphere of a small restaurant. Don't be biased that due to its central location, it is touristic - we were the only non french when visited there.

17/05/2024: There wasn’t anything wrong with the dishes as such, they just didn’t quite hit the mark. Tomato tarte tatin didn’t have the full powered tomato flavour you’d expect from Provençal produce, the pastry was soggy and not crisp, Asparagus with a sea bream fillet was pleasant, the sort of thing I’d cook at home. Dessert of pavlova was lovely, local strawberries in season delicious. But it wasn’t exactly pushing the boundaries. Wine was pretty good & the service very attentive & efficient. It was the most expensive meal we had and a bit disappointing.
