04/09/2026: Mas L'Amarine is a hidden gem on the outskirts of St Remy. Set in beautiful grounds the hotel is exceptionally well appointed from the outside seated areas, the pool, restaurant, bedrooms and reception. A relaxed environment yet with the highest standards typical of a 5 star experience. The staff are wonderful, very friendly, courteous and professional. A special shout out to Eve, the general manager, who is simply wonderful. A quick note on the food........one of the greatest meals we've had. We were left speechless on several of the courses. In summary, this really is a great small hotel and i highly recommend it. Thank you team Mas L'Amarine.

19/08/2026: An unforgettable experience We stayed in one of the annexes, a veritable private house within the hotel, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The place is magnificent, with a splendid swimming pool and a peaceful, charming setting. The staff is lovely, warm, and always attentive. We also highly recommend the massage offered as an additional service: a truly relaxing experience. An unforgettable stay in an exceptional location. We will gladly return!

07/10/2026: Our most disappointing meal in France. The oysters were shucked but not separated from the shell. The sea bass was okay but sat on top of a ratatouille which was bland. The Dover sole which was quite expensive was a small portion and quite dry. Our wine was delicious. When paying he asked us how much tip we wanted to add. Interestingly this was the only restaurant in our 16 days in France that pushed us to leave a tip.

06/10/2026: We had a very good dinner with friends at this lovely restaurant. We were warmly greeted and shown to our very comfortable table with nice big chairs to sit and relax in. Our waiter was very good and also spoke very good English which made things easier for us. We started with a selection of oysters which were fabulous and super fresh, accompanied by a nice bottle of Deutz champagne. I had the blue lobster which was a special of the day with roast potatoes and salad. The lobster was cooked perfectly, lovely and moist and tasty with a nice garlic/ persilade marinade/ dressing. Our wonderful waiter also recommended a very good local Rose which we all won. My wife and friends also very much enjoyed their meals and it make a great occasion for catching up with our best friends.

15/10/2026: Wow the food is simply amazing. Great location, great courtyard. They had a problem with their online booking system so they were double booked that evening which made things a little bit slower than normal. Assuming that this wouldn’t happen to you this is a must stop when in Saint Remy.

04/05/2026: Le Bistrot at Hotel de Tourrel : Recently opened adds another beautiful experience to the already existing Michelin starred restaurant and rooftop (depending on season) The setting strikes a lovely balance, relaxed and sophisticated at once, the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease while everything around you reflects real care and attention. The service is genuinely top-notch; attentive, friendly, and perfectly timed. The menu is varied and attractive, the food absolutely delicious, and the prices extremely reasonable for the quality on offer.

03/05/2026: Lovely little boutique hotel right in the middle of Saint-Remy-de-Provence. Staff will recognize you almost immediately after you check in, and will do everything they can to make your stay excellent. Very quiet inside, although realistically the town is also quiet which helps. There's a pool (!!), although not heated. It'll be cold if you're visiting in the off-season. The dinner restaurant, Restaurant de Tourrel, is also incredible, must do.

08/10/2026: We popped in for lunch on Thursday, 8 October, 2026 because we needed lunch and a very light rain was starting. Boy, were we in the right place! We sat in the cozy, comfortable, and attractive glassed-in "terrace". We both ordered the daily lunch special: a salad with salmon, house-made foccacia, whipped goat cheese, and arugula; roast chicken with sautéed shivered vegetables; and chocolate mousse. I had to restraints myself repeating the same word over and over while typing that menu summary; the word is "DELICIOUS". Perfectly prepared would be another worthy phrase. The service was classic low-key, low-pressure French. We were delighted to dine slowly over an hour and a hslf (or more), until the dun came out. The total cost with one glass of red wine and a liter of San Pelligrino was 70.90 EUR. We will definitely go back. Maybe to try dinner.

01/06/2026: We had a fabulous stay at this hotel. A huge thank you to Laurence for her warm welcome, her availability, and her kindness. She was particularly attentive to our 19-month-old son, who also thoroughly enjoyed his stay. We especially appreciated the absolute tranquility of this establishment. It's a true haven of peace where we were able to relax and recharge. The garden is magnificent, with superb roses that add so much charm to the place. The pool is perfectly maintained and spotlessly clean. We left feeling refreshed and delighted with our stay. This place is ideal for a romantic getaway or for a family seeking peace and quiet in a beautiful setting. Thank you again to Laurence for all her thoughtful touches. We will gladly return!

26/05/2026: Don't be fooled; this is a bed and breakfast that you'll pay the price of a very nice hotel. At first glance, the location and aesthetics of the establishment are ideal: 2 minutes from St. Rémy de Provence and a beautiful traditional farmhouse. The property also has ample parking. The room itself, however, is rather basic and already has some flaws that are not worthy of a 4-star hotel: no curtains on the windows (meaning that during the day you're either seen, or you close the curtains and live in darkness), limescale on the bathtub faucet, no hand soap, and a broken minibar. Then, in the morning, breakfast won't give you the impression that you're getting your money's worth. There are few "homemade" products (only yogurt and jams), and the fruit isn't local (a real shame considering all the grocery stores and markets in the region). Furthermore, even though breakfast is served briefly (8:30-10:00 AM), arrive early! Items are rarely replenished, and your selection will likely dwindle very quickly. Finally, the biggest disappointment comes from the service. It clearly tries to project a "Grand Palace" image, but this is merely a facade, and there is absolutely no flexibility to back it up. First, before your stay, you'll receive a phone call asking for your arrival time, only to be told that check-in is only possible from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Thank you, I can read… Secondly, there is no receptionist or security personnel present after 8:00 PM until the morning: guests are therefore left to their own devices, with only a number to call in case of emergency. This is acceptable for a guesthouse, but it's not what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. One rather unsettling anecdote: you're warned to be careful not to lock the reception entrance door, otherwise some guests might find themselves locked out because their key won't open the door, leaving them stranded. It's unbelievable! There's no food service, and be warned, eating or drinking in the rooms is strictly forbidden! Is this a boarding school or a hotel? Finally, be aware that it's not explicitly stated, and at no point, but check-out time is 11:00 AM, not noon. Even if you simply apologize and say you weren't aware of this, they'll try to prove you wrong. In short, it's a beautiful establishment with a lovely facade, but it's sold at an astronomical price compared to the subpar services offered.
