31/08/2026: A very good restaurant that we already knew. The cuisine is excellent and sophisticated. The small dining room is noisy and the decor a bit drab. Artificial flowers should be banned! The service is perfectly adequate, but the welcome is somewhat different for regular customers and "occasional" diners.

30/08/2026: We had a wonderful time at Eden. We opted for the €42.50 set menu. The dishes were refined, delicate, and beautifully presented. The desserts were exquisite. The service was well-paced. At no point did we feel like we were waiting our turn. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area. Pure pleasure awaits you.

19/09/2026: Lunch yesterday was very good with a seafood platter followed by fish of the day and a steak. Both were well cooked and a tasty sauce with the steak. I nice bottle of white wine and very good service. Finished with a chocolate dessert and coffee. Perfect position overlooking the sea.

12/06/2026: Truly wonderful French cuisine. With a menu featuring exactly the right combinations. And well-priced. The Entrecote is amazing. My wife loves fish and ordered the Gambas and oysters. Super fresh and great quality. The desserts offered just the right variety. Highly recommended. Do make a reservation for the evening. Very busy. Nice terrace right in the center.

Impeccable from start to finish, with a smile to boot (it's such a treat!). And the food... absolutely amazing! 🤤 Everything was absolutely excellent, fresh, and perfectly cooked. 21/08/2026: My parents, who were on holiday in Houlgate for the week, came to eat. My mother ordered mussels, but they arrived overcooked. She called the waiters back, and they took the dish away. Finally, the owner returned with the dish, put it down, and said the mussels were cooked perfectly and that they couldn't do any better! He left the dish and left. This reaction is unacceptable! This is an abuse of power against retirees!

29/08/2026: We had a wonderful time at L'effet mer in Houlgate! The setting is charming, both welcoming and elegant. We had the fish and chips, which was generous and perfectly crispy, and my daughter chose the salmon tagliatelle, which was tender and delicious. Fresh ingredients, pleasant and attentive service. A real gem, we highly recommend it and will gladly return.
