04/12/2025: Hello... I had lunch there about two weeks ago with my husband. We waited five minutes for a table. There were other people having coffee, as were two other tables. It's a shame, the lovely veranda should be closed to drinks after a certain time, and the restaurant itself should be kept open to avoid having to turn customers away. Sincerely, As for the food, I ordered the chef's suggestion, grilled beef. It was good quality and cooked properly (rare these days). It was a shame it was served on a cold plate. The fries, however, need improvement!

01/12/2025: Don’t believe the bad reviews here ! The owners changed very recently and the restaurant is now the best in this price range in Ouistreham. A young couple, with experience. The vegetables are hand cut, the sauces tasty, the fish right from the market. What a pleasure after the previous two owners. Completely renovated. The only thing I don’t understand is why the new owners didn’t change the name, to get rid of the bad reviews on the internet and to show that they are different. On the other hand, the locals have adapted, the place is now full during lunch time… :-)

02/04/2026: We had a lovely evening; the main course was delicious, and the appetizer and coffee rounded off the meal perfectly. The service was attentive and friendly, and our dog was welcome. We were seated immediately, but we think a reservation is advisable, and probably necessary during peak season.

01/04/2026: I stopped by this weekend and what can I say? It was a real treat! The beef cheek was melt-in-your-mouth tender and full of flavor, cooked to perfection. The lemon-vanilla tart was perfectly balanced, fresh, and indulgent. And the coffee with cream was incredible! Nothing to complain about, I ate very well 👌🔥 And drank well too 😉

08/04/2026: Clean rooms with a good bed. The shower could be better, with a high step and a slippery floor. The food in the restaurant was poor. The main course was lukewarm and the oysters were not opened correctly.

07/04/2026: Stopped here for a drink before the ferry. Terrible BO smell! Rude service. Watched them be very dismissive to a group of road bikers who were staying the night. Please avoid!

05/04/2026: We came to eat last night and the meal was disappointing! The galettes were overcooked (hard and burnt), the meat was tough, and the wine was poor quality. Furthermore, we ordered two Coca-Colas which, quite honestly, weren't real Coke. The restrooms were disgusting and smelled bad. To conclude this unpleasant experience, the restaurant manager was not at all friendly when we left.

05/04/2026: The restaurant did not live up to our expectations, considering the price and the quality of the food. The waiters were pleasant enough for a funeral home, but not for a restaurant.

04/01/2026: Beautiful interior and a very warm, open welcome that immediately makes you feel comfortable. The service was kind, attentive, and helpful, and the amuse-bouche was a lovely touch. The oysters were very tasty, and the mussels were good as well — nicely filled, with a delicious sauce. The fries were a nice idea since they were made from fresh potatoes, not frozen ones, but unfortunately they were quite greasy, soft, and not crispy at all. The overall table presentation was slightly spoiled by a very basic bottled sparkling water, which didn’t match the otherwise elegant setting. The only real downside was a noticeable smell of dampness, which contrasted with the beautiful interior. Overall, the place has great potential.

03/01/2026: Impeccable service, one wonders how the chef managed to obtain the title of master restaurateur, 1 liter of Evian in plastic for 7 euros....

19/12/2025: We had booked a table using a gourmet pass for the 19th at 12:45 PM. We received a booking confirmation. Big surprise! When we arrived, the restaurant was closed and marked "for sale." Unbelievable! Luckily, it was just the two of us; if we had booked for six, we would have looked pretty silly. Who is responsible for this major blunder?

24/10/2025: Mediocre. The Martini was served lukewarm without ice or orange, but for the price, it's a steal 😉 It took 45 minutes to be served (mussels and fries 😮). The quality of both the food and the service was mediocre. The waiter seemed completely indifferent to what we were saying... We won't be back; there are much better places nearby while waiting for the ferry.
