07/02/2026: The rave reviews convinced us to book a table. My colleague and I ordered mussels with Bleu d'Auvergne cheese. The sauce was generous and quite well made. However, half the mussels were overcooked. The quality of the red wine served by the carafe was truly mediocre, especially considering the €9.50 price tag.

08/03/2026: Its three Michelin stars are well-deserved, reflecting a level of excellence in both the kitchen and the dining room. The ingredients are cooked to perfection, and the numerous sauces (up to three for one dish!) are light and sophisticated.

13/02/2026: We had booked a lunch more than a month in advance, with a proper confirmation email received at the time. Everything seemed perfectly organized, exactly what one would expect from a three-Michelin-star restaurant. A few days ago, however, we were informed that our reservation had been cancelled via a simple text message — not an email, not a phone call. No real explanation, no alternative proposed. We only noticed this today and, after calling the restaurant, were told that the cancellation was due to overbooking. This is, quite frankly, unacceptable. Overbooking may occasionally happen, but how it is handled is what defines professionalism. Cancelling a long-standing, confirmed reservation with an impersonal text message, without a formal email and without proper apologies, is simply not worthy of a restaurant of this standing. At a three-star Michelin level, excellence should extend far beyond the plate. Service, organization and respect for guests are just as essential, and in this case, they were completely lacking. A deeply disappointing experience — before even stepping through the door.

13/03/2026: We came for lunch today as a couple. Absolutely fantastic, the servers were very friendly. The burger, in a word, was amazing! 😁 EXCELLENT!

05/03/2026: Superb restaurant in a great location in La Rochelle. Beautiful view of the boats and the city's old castles! The cheddar burgers are excellent, generously topped, we thoroughly enjoyed them! And the seats were extremely comfortable, especially in the back corner where my sweetheart and I were able to snuggle up. I highly recommend it for the atmosphere, the view, and the delicious food!

23/02/2026: Le Bistrot de Mémé is a fantastic place to enjoy delicious homemade dishes with a warm welcome and excellent service. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food; it was delicious and beautifully presented. The price was also fantastic: a starter, main course, and dessert for €17 – no other restaurant in La Rochelle is that competitive! If I could, I'd go every week 😍 but unfortunately, I live over an hour away. In any case, I 100% recommend this restaurant. Another bonus was that we parked just a few meters away, and the parking was free. In short, everything was perfect from start to finish ❤️❤️❤️

24/10/2025: We chose takeout twice and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The first time, we ordered flank steak and fries. The meat was cooked perfectly, with crispy fries and a small salad bowl to top it all off! The second time, we ordered market fish (sea bream and hake). Once again, it was cooked perfectly and accompanied by seasonal vegetables. Another treat! Warm welcome. A place to remember.

09/02/2026: While in La Rochelle, we tried Theo Chereau's pastries and it was a truly wonderful discovery! There were four of us, and we sat in the tea room. We received a very warm welcome, and the service from the sales team was impeccable and professional. We sampled five pastries and a flaky brioche. The presentation was flawless, with meticulous attention to detail, excellent balance of sweetness, and pronounced flavors. In short, top-notch! Congratulations to your entire team!

09/02/2026: It just goes to show, everyone has different tastes: My husband and I sampled five pastries from Mr. Chereau this past Sunday, the 8th. And frankly, we weren't impressed. Only one really appealed to us: the iceberg. Otherwise, everything was too sweet, too many different flavors, just too much of everything. We're used to fine dining, but we were disappointed. I don't doubt his skill at all, but for us, it wasn't to our liking. However, the trompe-l'oeil effects were well done; there's no denying that.

19/02/2026: We came to eat at Marie La Rochelle, a tiny restaurant located within the walls of the covered market in downtown La Rochelle, which offers delicious products from the Périgord region. We had a wonderful time and the food was truly excellent. If you're looking for a friendly, unpretentious place where the food is good and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, look no further! The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and manages her restaurant perfectly, all on her own, both in the kitchen and with the service—kudos for her energy and professionalism! We highly recommend it and will definitely come back to eat at your restaurant on our next visit to La Rochelle 😊

10/02/2026: While visiting La Rochelle with my mother, we stumbled upon this charming, unique little restaurant. Sometimes things just work out for the best, and we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal and the friendliness of the owner. We highly recommend it.

06/12/2025: My brother introduced me to the roastery, and although I'm not a coffee drinker, I was pleasantly surprised by the macchiato with caramel, which was truly delicious. The atmosphere is really nice, and the fact that the tables are shared adds to a very cozy and comfortable ambiance. I highly recommend it (even for those who, like me, don't usually drink coffee and use a lot of milk)! 🌟💜

02/10/2025: 5 stars because the service was great, the food too and truly homemade. The homemade fries were visible and the shallot sauce deglazed with what I think was beer was a treat. We did not regret choosing this restaurant on the harbor.
