02/04/2024: We had a family dinner for my husband's birthday, we were all won over, our children aged 8 and 10 were served like kings, and our parents had a great time. The service is top notch and attentive (suggestions, explanations, speed), the wines and cocktails as well as the dishes are delicious and the atmosphere very pleasant. We will come back for sure!

01/04/2024: Short family weekend, we were very well received by the entire team, pleasant atmosphere. We were lucky enough to be able to benefit from the new features on the menu and frankly not disappointed. Flavors, tastes everything is there as well as the quantity and quality We will come back

04/04/2024: Friday March 6 in the evening we went to the restaurant in Royan. When booking we made it clear that we were two couples but that each paid their part, i.e. two separate bills. Benefiting from a reduction put on the newspaper le pedlar: "One formula purchased, the second at 50%; only one coupon per visit" we saw ourselves reproached at the cash register or even at the beginning refusing the application of this one to each couple in a very non-commercial way. It was necessary to negotiate in order to obtain this discount. We regret the manager's uncommercial attitude because if he is not satisfied with the advertising placed in this free newspaper, it is up to him to see exactly how the discount is written. He wanted to apply the reduction to only one formula out of the 4 instead of 2. Loyal customer of this place, we will see in the future to return there. The manager's response is not frank and honest and we are frankly thinking of coming back to this restaurant if he is there. Why do I say not honest or frank, he forgets to specify that during the meal having made a remark about the quality of the meat he assured us he would come back in a few moments but he never came except to intervene in a somewhat commercial way at the checkout To say that he still took the coupons is true but he had to fight hard and it was up to him to review his advertising. Regret, we were used to this restaurant but we can rest assured that it will be able to continue its method of intimidation at the cash register on vulnerable people. Take the coupons in the Colporteur this month of March and try to experience two couples different tables while being close to share a friendly moment. We still returned to this restaurant and we congratulate the manager for the reorganization of the installation of the room following COVID: brighter, large space between tables and always welcoming and smiling staff. We appreciate the holiday suggestion of unlimited carpaccio but we still regret the one with tapenade not served but no problem everything is good.

10/03/2024: We had reserved a table for two people on a Saturday lunchtime. We arrive on time. It was raining heavily, I had a “pocket” umbrella that closed on purpose so as not to get water everywhere. I had difficulty closing it which took a little longer before we were seated, which annoyed the waitress, who then told me that I had to leave my umbrella behind. the entrance. I insisted that I did not want to leave it at the entrance so as not to have it stolen. She didn't want it, so I put it on the ground. And then she said to us: “Okay, let’s go! This woman was very unpleasant. When we sit down, we look at each other with the person I was with, we hadn't paid attention before because his behavior was so shocking... A musty smell throughout the restaurant, that smell that stings your nose because it is so strong. We are gone. We wanted to try it because the reviews on the cuisine are good, but unfortunately that's not enough... This woman should change careers.

02/04/2024: At the head of the customer. After a first experience at the weekend, complete change for a second visit during the week. Cloth napkins are replaced by paper for the same menu price which moreover does not correspond to that announced on the site. As we had a long way to go, we had fruit juice before the meal and mineral water during our lunch. Result no amuse bouche. The table next door which had alcohol and the daily menu was entitled to nibbles and the one on the other side which had the aperitif and the large menus like us were entitled to a verrine and a small garnished choux pastry. The portions are minimalist. We opted for 2 cheese supplements at 7 euros per person to be offered 3 pieces of cheese already cut and dried. The bread is distributed drop by drop. No one came to see if everything was going well during the meal. We honestly felt like we were just a wallet. Our first good impression unfortunately quickly turned into total disappointment. Completed for us at this establishment.

25/03/2024: We had an excellent time in this restaurant where the staff compete with kindness and humor. The cuisine was perfectly up to standard, we enjoyed it.

17/03/2024: Excellent food 🧑‍🍳 but...a big BUT The manager is extremely terrible and in no way professional with her team and the worst part is the fact that she despises her customers to the point.. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 a team at the end of its tether and totally ineffective, running away from the customer like its own boss.. So, no thank you.. I'm running away, we're running away.. too bad the cook is adorable and almost made up for it... thanks to him for his kindness

02/04/2024: One of the rare places in Royan where the merchant is extremely friendly and knows how to provide a great customer experience. The dishes are excellent and the sea sauerkraut is a real treat. Everything is fresh and excellent value for money. Both the waiter and the chef have a sense of customer service and this is worth emphasizing!
