19/06/2024: Tout d'abord surpris par les commentaires négatifs. Par rapport aux prix nous sommes sur un étoilé Michelin pas une brasserie et il faut bien prendre en compte le temps passé par le chef et sa brigade pour élaborer ces plats de saison avec des produits nobles sublimés et sûrement beaucoup d'essais avant d'aboutir à un résultat probant. L'accueil en ce qui nous concerne avec ma femme a été très agréable pour un dîner et suivi toute la soirée par une équipe sympathique. La cheffe de salle il me semble, adorable et pleine d'humour nous l'avons adorée. Le personnel à l'écoute de nos demandes et souriant. Nous avons choisi un repas éphémère en 8 actes avec bouchées en apéritif et petite glace cornet en plus des plats. Le menu découverte Black & White laissait place à notre imagination tous les plats présentés étant sur la thématique du noir et du blanc. Certains furent très déstabilisants par leur texture comme l'asperge ou l'association étonnante de certains ingrédients (chocolat olive noire) mais nos papilles dans tous leurs états récompensaient le travail du chef quand les goûts explosaient successivement en bouche. Nous nous sommes surpris à apprécier des mets que nous n'aimons pas ou que nous ne cuisinons pas habituellement et voilà un sacré défi de relevé les assiettes étant vides. Nous avons pu saluer le chef en repartant il a l'air très humble et réservé 😁 Pour conclure peut-être pas le meilleur menu que nous aurions choisi si nous n'avions pas tenté cette expérience du noir et blanc (beaucoup d'encre de seiche à mon goût dans les plats ) mais cela laisse justement la place pour un retour prochain sur un menu du moment en moins d'actes et à nous une nouvelle expérience ! Félicitations au chef et à sa brigade ainsi qu'à la cheffe de salle et son équipe. Un gastronome ...

16/06/2024: L’accueil est très moyen . On nous demande si l’on veut l’apéro sans rien nous proposer. Le repas est convenable. Par contre 25€ la coupe de champagne c’est horriblement cher et la bouteille était ouverte depuis un moment. ( pas de bulles) . Pas de mignardises avec le café ( un oubli nous a t’on dit ). Pour payer personne à l’accueil ( on pouvait partir sans payer) . La personne à l’accueil s’est énervée quand on lui a demandé de nous offrir 2 malheureux KF pour le geste commercial compte tenu des différents comportements inadmissibles pour un étoilé Michelin . Il a trois ans nous étions enchantés, dorénavant nous ne reviendrons plus jamais.

21/12/2025: A very nice and good restaurant in the old town center of Angoulême. In addition to having a wide selection on their menu, Cokotte even offers vegetarian starters and a main course, which isn't always easy to find when you're looking for a good restaurant with vegetarian options in Angoulême. The dishes we ordered with my boyfriend (not vegetarian) and myself (vegetarian) were mild and very tasty, their wine was also excellent, and their dessert was very good too, although the portions were a bit small for the price. We'll keep this address in mind, but only for special occasions as it's a bit above our usual budget (we're students). Superb decor!

31/07/2024: Le cadre est magnifique, une belle terrasse en bord de Charente qui invite à un moment charmant et reposant. En revanche la présentation des plats n’est pas soignée, les saveurs sont fades, même le pain n’est pas bon et nous avons dû réclamer à de nombreuses reprises une carafe d’eau fraîche. Pour le tarif demandé je m’attendais à une qualité gustative bien supérieure.

20/06/2024: Décevant !!! Accueil très moyen. Cher pour ce que nous avons mangé. Le seul point positif est le cadre. Nous ne reviendrons pas.

24/08/2024: Très bel accueil. Conseils avisés sur les vins. Les serveurs savent s'adapter à la clientèle. A l'écoute, souriants. De belles découvertes gustatives (tataki de taureau). Plats beaux, bons et copieux. Cosy. Je recommande vivement si vous voulez passer un bon moment et vous régaler.

21/08/2024: Bon accueil, cadre agréable et plats intéressants. Le poulpe était particulièrement bien cuit, la carte des vins équilibrée. Un petit bémol sur les plats servis pas assez chauds... mais il y avait beaucoup de monde ce jour. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir.

25/01/2025: This bar is legendary! Glad it's here new on its feet and refurbished. The welcome is warm, the cuisine tasty and the service friendly... Also looking forward to the resumption of Sunday brunches! 💖

23/01/2025: We have just experienced a lunar situation. This had never happened to me in my life in a bar. We stay in the bar for 30 minutes while having two drinks. One of the waiters comes to serve us a cheese board that we hadn't ordered. We thank him warmly for this. After all, a cute puppy had just gone to the bathroom next to our table and was eating his feces to clean up. Thank you for the smell. We then naively thought that this gesture was linked to this astonishing situation. After several minutes, his colleague told him that the board was not for us and told us that we should not have consumed it. We are a little stunned and decide to leave. The waiter asks us to pay for the board and we refuse. He tells us to leave with our good conscience. Thank you and forever.

26/01/2025: everything was super nice, and especially the welcome and kindness of the reception. You should say more about parking so that we can reach it when arriving without having to find parking nearby.

26/01/2025: Mini stay in Angoulême with my 11 year old daughter welcomed like a princess! A huge thank you to Estelle for her warm, generous and caring welcome as well as to the team who went out of their way to make this stay a delight. Thanks also to the equally adorable and attentive restaurant team (Samih is a gem). In addition to this general kindness, the hotel has a library where you instantly feel at home. The pleasure of playing a vinyl chosen from the selection available, the possibility of borrowing a book and the impeccable service of a much appreciated coffee and hot chocolate upon our arrival. Until the end the feeling of being pampered. Thank you and looking forward to coming back ❤

22/09/2024: For those like me who like to eat at the market and like seafood and fish, there is something to enjoy at Brice, with also enough to have a croque monsieur or chicken to satisfy a group.

05/07/2024: Extra!!!! The different types of bread, pastries, pastries and savory snacks, ice creams, macaroons.......EVERYTHING IS SUPER GOOD!!!; I would happily let myself be locked in for a GARGANTUAN night. ... 🤪😻

04/07/2024: Excellent pastry. An essential address on the plateau, that's for sure. On the other hand, tables set up in tea room mode but unable to connect or "not for long" according to management. No sign announces this ludicrous decision. Too bad for them...
