18/04/2026: From the moment we arrived at this restaurant, the tone was set. Nestled in a small courtyard of an old building, the place has a lot of charm. The welcome was both courteous and warm. Without excessive fuss, we were expecting a true awakening of the taste buds, and that's exactly what we got. From the appetizers to the main courses, right down to the desserts, each dish was perfectly executed. What a pleasure to find a restaurant where you eat so well, while being welcomed like family. 16/05/2026: Excellent restaurant, a menu with fresh products at lunchtime, starter, main course, dessert for €20, very good value for money.

20/04/2026: L'agape is a very small restaurant where you can eat very well for a very reasonable price. The owner manages everything himself, from waiting tables to preparing and serving the dishes. I advise you to make a reservation because they can't serve more than four tables for lunch.

Everything was perfect: the dishes were beautifully crafted with well-balanced flavors and textures, the service was top-notch and very friendly, and the team was attentive to adapting the menu for pregnant women. 21/02/2026: Warm welcome, relaxed nd well very presented with a hint of special occasion. Convenient, located just off the busier back lanes and worth a visit. Delicious food from simple no well presented menu. Greta wine choices, of course. Booked online. Simple online reservation, though the acknowledgment email needs to be much more rapid to be reassuring for those travelling. Hopefully this is an easy fix🤞

18/04/2026: A wonderful discovery on our way back from vacation. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The generous and well-prepared dishes are served at a very reasonable pace, allowing you time to appreciate the setting. The shaded terrace is lovely on sunny days.

16/04/2026: The starter and main course were very good; the preparation of the vegetables was exceptional. However, the dessert was not up to the standard of the rest of the meal, which was a shame.

09/04/2026: A lovely little restaurant we discovered on our way back from Dax. The welcome was very friendly; they even accepted us with our small dog. Excellent homemade meal. Located near the beautiful Château de Rochefoucauld. A place to remember.

11/04/2026: The best crêperie in Angoulême. An incredible selection of savory and sweet crêpes. The savory crêpes are as good as those in Brittany. I highly recommend it.
