07/07/2026: A somewhat chic restaurant where everyone is warmly welcome, but it is probably less advisable to arrive here in shorts, a t-shirt, and hiking boots 😉. Gastronomic cuisine and very attentive service. So far the best restaurant during our holiday in France. Refined and delicious. Very reasonable price for the level you get on your plate. I would go back in a heartbeat. The decor is also top-notch. We sat on the beautiful and atmospheric terrace, surrounded by an excellently maintained garden. The interior is also tastefully decorated. Also nice: parking available at the restaurant.

My wife had fish, I had the pulled suckling pig which was absolutely divine, and our friend and his son had the veal... We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!!! Thank you Pascal and your team!!! I hope you'll make that pulled suckling pig again 🙏 because it took me two days to recover...😅

13/08/2026: My favorite restaurant in Charente. Amazing cocktails along fantastically creative food of which half are vegetarian. The staff is friendly but also very professional. The lunch menu has 2 appetizers, 2 entrées and 2 deserts of which at least one of each is vegetarian. The dinner menu has many more dishes.

27/08/2026: Very authentic restaurant. They have a fixed daily menu that you may/must follow. Everything is à l'ancienne and prepared very tasty. It is a bit of a journey back in time to the French cuisine of 40-50 years ago. Nice experience and friendly service.

26/08/2026: A truly timeless experience this late August lunchtime; time seemed to have stood still in the 1970s/80s. A single daily menu: soup (a delicious minestrone), vegetable and chorizo ​​quiche, tomato and cucumber salad (perfectly drained), followed by braised ham with perfectly seasoned sautéed potatoes, salad, cheese (on a platter), and to finish: mirabelle plum tart or fruit salad with syrup. Everything was, of course, homemade and served plated by a charming and very efficient waitress. I almost forgot the bottle of wine (red or rosé) and the coffee. All for €18 per person. Not to be missed.

22/08/2026: A wonderful discovery in Angoulême, Le Saint André offers excellent and sophisticated cuisine, both in flavor and presentation. The staff is professional, and the owner, Frédéric, is very attentive to his customers while remaining discreet. If you're passing through Angoulême, this is definitely a restaurant to remember.

The dishes were exquisitely refined, with delicate flavors, perfectly executed cooking, and meticulous presentation. Each plate seemed to have been carefully considered down to the smallest detail. A truly wonderful restaurant in Angoulême that I wholeheartedly recommend. We will definitely be back!

18/08/2026: My son and I had a wonderful time. We ordered tuna takati and a pork chop, both served with new potatoes. Delicious! For dessert, we had floating island and a slice of lightly toasted brioche topped with vanilla ice cream: equally delicious. The waitress was also lovely and the atmosphere very pleasant. 12/08/2026: We discovered this lovely and charming restaurant on a sweltering evening, experiencing all the hardships that entails for professionals! Despite these conditions, every dish served was impeccable, with a little something extra in the light, simply delicious sauces... too often overlooked in favor of bland emulsions. This is an establishment we will gladly return to at a more pleasant time of year!

It's the perfect venue for a private event, with an absolutely stunning setting and a very pleasant atmosphere. The estate is very well-equipped and perfectly suited for hosting events with complete peace of mind. Everything is in place for an unforgettable experience in a magnificent setting. We highly recommend this venue!

28/07/2026: Honestly, I almost never leave reviews, but this time I HAD to! It had been years since I'd eaten such a good burger with such a perfect balance of quality and price. The bun, the meat, the ingredients... everything is perfectly balanced, and you can immediately tell the products are high quality. The homemade fries are amazing, crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth on the inside—a real treat! The value for money is completely unbeatable! For this level of quality, it's simply incredible. A special mention goes to the owner, with whom I had the pleasure of speaking on the phone. She's incredibly kind, funny, caring, and truly attentive. It's so refreshing to see business owners who put so much heart into their work. This is exactly the kind of restaurant that deserves to be known and supported. I recommend it 1000% without hesitation! For me, it's decided, I won't order my burgers anywhere else. If you're in Angoulême and still hesitating, go for it, you won't regret it! I would have loved to take pictures, but I couldn't resist devouring this meal :)
