05/09/2026: It's all well and good to use Uber, but being unable to explain why and how the order didn't arrive is completely unprofessional. No tracking on Uber, fine, but you're supposed to know who you're entrusting the order to and be responsible for checking if the customer received it. It's shameful because we get ripped off quite a bit this way!

24/09/2026: I very rarely leave reviews, but I wanted to highlight the kindness of the people who work there. The server who primarily looked after us was incredibly kind and patient and made us feel very comfortable. The second server was also very pleasant. Furthermore, the cooks did a fantastic job; the food was excellent.

03/10/2026: We wanted to spend an evening with friends, but the waitress took it upon herself to join our conversation and almost threatened us because we remarked that a plate of fries was taking a long time to arrive. I don't go to a restaurant to have my discussions listened to and open to debate, much less for cold fries!

19/09/2026: I discovered this place during the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival, and I've been there several times since, for lunch, dinner, or just a drink. Overall, I was very satisfied; the setting and atmosphere were lovely, and the team was dynamic. I'll definitely go back on my next visit because I have such fond memories. 23/09/2026: It's not my habit to leave negative reviews, but I'm very disappointed! Admittedly, we were late for our reservation (and we apologized for that), but the waitress's friendliness, hospitality, and service far outweighed the slight. We remained courteous throughout, despite her off-putting manner of speaking and her complete lack of a smile. A second round of appetizers was served just before the main courses, even though we had asked if it would be possible to have roasted Camembert with our drinks. Some of the meat was overcooked, and the portions of fries were child's size. The final blow came when the owner, during the checkout, proceeded to lecture us about our meal choices (I'm still looking for the law stating that it's mandatory to order a starter and a main course in France). In short, there are much better restaurants in Angoulême and, if it's a restaurant frequented by regulars, they simply need to close their establishment on the weekend of the ramparts circuit!

07/08/2026: We came for lunch as a group of six, including two teenagers and our dog, and we had a wonderful time. We received a very warm welcome: the entire team was professional, friendly, and attentive. The menu showcases seasonal and local produce, which is truly evident in every dish. Everything was delicious, with flavorful and well-prepared meals. The value for money is excellent. The lovely view of the Charente River is a real bonus and makes the experience even more enjoyable. A big thank you to the whole team for your hospitality and this delightful culinary experience. We will gladly return!

11/07/2026: I'd love to go there, but unfortunately, someone who works there, who lives below me, is awful to the neighbors and therefore probably to the staff. Even though she's retired, she continues to be awful.

18/08/2026: We were very disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. We waited about 40 minutes for our food, which is far too long. Unfortunately, after waiting so long, the food arrived lukewarm, much too salty, and frankly, not good at all. The service was also lacking: quite slow, inattentive, and not really up to the standard one expects from a restaurant. And above all, for €60, I find it simply unacceptable. At that price, you expect hot, tasty food of a minimum quality, as well as decent service. Paying €60 to wait 40 minutes and end up with a lukewarm and overly salty dish is truly disappointing. It's a shame, because we came to have a good time and enjoy a good meal. In the end, we left disappointed and with the feeling that we had paid far too much for the quality offered. €60 for this experience is clearly outrageous. We will not be returning and I unfortunately do not recommend this restaurant.
