A rib of beef cooked over a fireplace, adding a crispy crust and a wood-fired flavor.

Nice...but two problems:
You can't order at the bar; you have to sit down and wait for a server to serve you... A real shame when you're very thirsty and want to serve yourself directly at the bar...
And also, it's a shame they don't offer beers from Brasserie Nationale (which is only a few hundred meters away).

Your waiter with the shoulder-length hair and beard was very unpleasant.
He claimed we ordered a Monaco, which we never requested, and threatened to ban us from the bar if we didn't pay for this drink, which he completely made up.
To make matters worse, he was very rude and condescending.

19/09/2024: Table réservée pour 16 personnes pour le déjeuner du circuit des remparts le dimanche 15 septembre, pas de problème, mais surtout venez à midi!
Service de l’apéro un peu long mais ok. On nous prévient que l’on ne prend pas nos commandes repas car les cuisiniers sont débordés.....
Et un moment après, on nous informe qu’ils nous offrent l’apéro et ne peuvent pas nous servir le repas!!!
Ce n’est pas du tout correct, nous avons heureusement trouvé un établissement qui nous a servi mais, certains devaient partir en voiture à 14h et ne sont partis qu’à 15h et les autres ont raté tout le début des courses !
Il faut réfléchir avant de prendre des réservations messieurs!!!
06/09/2024: soirée entre filles pour boire un verre avec des tapas. très bien accueillies, service nickel. nous commandons differents tapas pour mixier. des gyozas aux légumes arrivent, sur lequel un filet de balsamique est déposé. je fais la remarque que je n'en mangerais pas n'aimant pas ça. et bien 10 minustes après j'ai vu apparaitre un plat sans vinaigre!! c'est ce que j'apelle prendre soin de ses clients, nous aons vraiment apprécié. et en plus ils étaient excellents ces gyozas!!! nous reviendrons avec plaisir!

04/09/2024: Habitué de la cantine, nous avons découvert le Lounge..un nouveau concept, une nouvelle direction qui a su garder les meilleurs de l'ancien personnel. Une nouvelle carte de restauration, une de tapas et planches à déguster jusqu'à 2H00 du matin, une première sur Angoulême. Un large choix de vins, de cognac et de rhum arrangés. Enfin un endroit sympa aux tarifs raisonnables !! A tester
16/08/2024: Restaurant qui propose notamment des grandes assiette telle que l'assiette perigourdine. C'est assez copieux mais plutôt cher pour la qualité.
