22/08/2026: A wonderful discovery in Angoulême, Le Saint André offers excellent and sophisticated cuisine, both in flavor and presentation. The staff is professional, and the owner, Frédéric, is very attentive to his customers while remaining discreet. If you're passing through Angoulême, this is definitely a restaurant to remember.

22/08/2026: We had a wonderful time at Saint André. The welcome was truly remarkable: warm, friendly, and attentive, without ever being overbearing. We immediately felt at home. The dishes were exquisitely refined, with delicate flavors, perfectly executed cooking, and meticulous presentation. Each plate seemed to have been carefully considered down to the smallest detail. A truly wonderful restaurant in Angoulême that I wholeheartedly recommend. We will definitely be back!

Superb homemade cuisine, very pleasant service, a lovely atmosphere in the dining room, and a delightful surprise with the sparkling and delicious "L'Espérance" gourmet platter. 28/07/2026: Honestly, I almost never leave reviews, but this time I HAD to! It had been years since I'd eaten such a good burger with such a perfect balance of quality and price. The bun, the meat, the ingredients... everything is perfectly balanced, and you can immediately tell the products are high quality. The homemade fries are amazing, crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth on the inside—a real treat! The value for money is completely unbeatable! For this level of quality, it's simply incredible. A special mention goes to the owner, with whom I had the pleasure of speaking on the phone. She's incredibly kind, funny, caring, and truly attentive. It's so refreshing to see business owners who put so much heart into their work. This is exactly the kind of restaurant that deserves to be known and supported. I recommend it 1000% without hesitation! For me, it's decided, I won't order my burgers anywhere else. If you're in Angoulême and still hesitating, go for it, you won't regret it! I would have loved to take pictures, but I couldn't resist devouring this meal :)

14/08/2026: A warm welcome! Pilou (our dog) was treated like royalty. There wasn't much choice on the menu, but that didn't matter because everything was excellent, homemade food that delighted our taste buds. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Angoulême. P.S. Please consider making it accessible for people with reduced mobility, as the stairs aren't easy for everyone.

01/08/2026: A very warm welcome and perfect service! The daily special (mussels and hamburgers for the children) was delicious and generous. A great time for the whole family. A nice touch was their return of a forgotten bag. Truly excellent, we highly recommend it.

09/08/2026: Avoid the vegetarian casserole: it's just the side vegetables from the other dishes, served a little more generously, with a small piece of cheese in the center and a sprinkle of sprouts on top. There's no point in offering vegetarian options with that level of effort.

01/08/2026: A good restaurant in Angoulême with a lovely setting. The meal was good overall. One minor drawback: I found the menu wasn't detailed enough, particularly regarding the burger and the steak tartare, in which I thought I recognized mango, which wasn't listed on the menu.

25/07/2026: Lovely place, we had generous salads, an excellent vegetarian burger, and a very good steak tartare. The staff is delightful. The restaurant accepts holiday vouchers, a definite plus!

30/05/2026: Tucked away behind a wall of vines, this hard to find restaurant located on an unprepossessing industrial estate is well worth seeking out. Perhaps this is why most of the clientele are local. We sat down alongside trades people enjoying a long, languid lunch under shady trees. The meat is cooked to perfection over a wood fire. The faux filet is simply delicious. This was our second visit and we were delighted to return. We enjoyed an excellent two course lunch with drinks for about 55 euros, which we considered to be very good value. Next time, we will make a reservation - just like everyone else who has become a regular here.
