The persistent stares we received quickly made it clear that new customers didn't seem to be the most welcome guests. The biggest disappointment, however, remains the drink prices, which are applied inconsistently depending on the customer. Our prices are fixed: non-alcoholic drinks are €5, drinks with alcohol are €7, beer is between €6 and €8 depending on the type you choose, and cocktails are €12. They only vary depending on the drink you select, not on the customer's whim. And they are displayed at the bar. Instead of leaving comments like this, asking why you didn't come and see us directly, we listen to our customers and try to ensure they have a good time. OUR RESPONSE AFTER... How do you explain that a simple alcoholic drink, excluding cocktails, was charged at €10 instead of €7? On two separate occasions, you asked the person behind you what price should be charged for this drink. He answered unequivocally: "€10." Under these circumstances, it cannot be a mistake or a misunderstanding. We simply note that this price was deliberately applied. Unfortunately, this situation reinforces our feeling that prices are not the same for all customers and that consumption seems to be charged arbitrarily, depending on who is present. 19/03/2026: The location is fantastic, just 5 minutes from the train station. The room was very reasonably priced; it was slightly chilly, but a good sweater was fine. As for the staff, I didn't see anyone when I arrived or when I left, which I found a bit disappointing. Another minor drawback is that whenever someone walks by in the hallway, that's all you can hear.

11/05/2026: Passing through Bourges on a Thursday evening, we happened to have dinner at this restaurant. The steak tartare was excellent, well-seasoned, and the ribeye steak was perfectly aged. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the music playlist was great. We highly recommend it.

We got the impression that not everyone was necessarily welcome, which is a shame for an establishment of this type. With a warmer welcome, the experience could be much better.

13/08/2026: The manager was incredibly unpleasant. Yesterday afternoon, I went for a bike ride in Bourges (I know, not recommended in this heat). I ran out of water in my water bottle and stopped at the central bar to ask for some. That's when the owner suddenly refused me outright because I wasn't buying anything; the bar was empty! I don't think this person does any sport, and I hope she never finds herself in the same situation I experienced yesterday. It's true that times are tough for businesses, but to refuse 500ml of water? I hope this person sees this message. In conclusion, I certainly wouldn't recommend this establishment where the owners have absolutely no respect for the public.

Cuisine and menu: Generous and beautifully presented dishes, delicious traditional cuisine. I recommend the calf's head. Service and welcome: A welcoming, friendly, and responsive team.
